I spent years fighting alongside some of the best males I've ever known. One mission went wrong and I watched as my twin brother died in my arms. Now, I've settled into a less dangerous job developing new sonar technology for the military.

This took me about as long as a 400+ page book so that should tell you how interested in the story I was…

Actual rating 2.7 stars.
I liked the feeling this story was inside a bigger world with the mention of Felix’s job and the Shifter Council.

I understand that this is only a short story so things happen a little faster but they were already talking about love and pups the very first night they met!

All they had between them was a mate bond. That was it. And talk of their job. Which is NOT all one is.

I liked the bit with the warning from the council but the end felt too sudden. I was like ‘surely, there’s more than this?’
Technically there is but I’m not motivated enough to seek out the epilogue.

Underwhelming, rushed, and very funny (though I can’t tell if it’s on purpose. Like what do you mean your inner ”beast” is demanding attention? The fruit bat? Your inner fruit bat beast? Relax)

Also I couldn’t help but laugh at the most jarring references to this man’s dead brother being sprinkled in-between sections of unspeakable need for this lady in her halloween costume.

This couple doesn’t even have a conflict that they need to overcome and the relationship is so easy it’s boring.

2.75 ⭐️ Halloween Shifter Fated Mates Novella.

As an idea, it sounds really fun. The execution, however, was not great.
Felix is a bat shifter looking for his mate. His friend decides to sign them up for a party where 5 human women are looking for shifter mates. After a couple of not-so-great experiences, he finds Luna.

This was so incredibly short that it barely made sense. I feel like there could've been something here, but it was too rushed. There was no connection, and I don't think there was even one real conversation between Felix and Luna.

A very short story of a shifter bat finding his mate. A little fun read that I received free from voracious reader.
Meet Felix the bat and Luna the human. Luna set's up an event for human women to find their fated mates and meets her mate on the first event a good little read to slot in-between other books.

"Wait, did you just say pups?" The look of shock on her face was adorable. "They'll be in human form while they're in your womb." "Then I can't wait to have your pups!"

This was an adorable read Felix gave up on love because it had been so long. He was getting to a certain part in his life where he was feeling the loneliness of being unmated.

His friend convinced him to try and go on another blind date. Unfortunately, after his last fiasco with a lizard he was gun shy.

So why does Felix go ? He goes because he doesn’t understand why the heck not. Why not try a shot at finding love and if it goes well maybe he will have a fated mate.

I didn't know what a flying fox was until I researched it after reading this book. Don't come at me, I'm from South America and English is my third language xD

It was a fast story where Felix was setup by his friend to go on a blindfolded speed dating event for shifters at a club in the hopes to find his mate. He did find her and I'm happy with the female character that turns out to be his.

There is some problems with the shifter council or something but these two are rebels at heart. I'm curious to see what happens in the next book in the series.

Obs: I read this through Kindle Unlimited.

Super short and free ! This has a very unusual shifter (no spoilers) and honestly his inner self was a huge surprise to me ! Ok I liked Felix even though it’s a quick introduction and wow his foray into speed dating was pretty awful! Luckily fate does have someone for him and she’s definitely kind of into him ! Yes talking about pups was way too quick but if you are on a lunch break or something similar this certainly was a fun read

This is a short story, but the idea is wonderful. Shifter speed dating and Felix goes hoping to find is fated mate. I thought him being a bat shifter was so unique. Felix sees Luna and he knows she is his mate, and she is not a shifter but she too knows. This is a wonderful quick story that is witty and fun to read. .

A bat shifter, how cute is that???

Felix went along with his friend's idea for this speed dating thing to assuage his friend, what he didn't count on was actually finding his mate and a human one at that.

That's what this speed dating is all about humans that think they might find their forever with a shifter and Luna actually did and now she wants to keep the Shifter Speed Dating that she started going. She never expected that she would find him, but there he was.

Trick or treat

This fast paced little novella is perfect for the Halloween season. I love how the author went right to the heart of the matter, but kept the story interesting with a few false starts. I can’t wait to see what happens when these rebels with a cause set up the next shifter speed dating event, I can only imagine that it will be as entertaining as this one was.

Totally Spooked is a short story with a fun theme and great characters. Blindfolded speed dating for shifters sounds innocuous enough, but once you begin reading you realize that’s not the case. I went in not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised in the amount of character development, suspense, and romance. I enjoyed the author’s writing style and world building. The story was well-written so if you’re looking for a cute book with a plot, great characters, and short reading time, grab a copy of Totally Spooked.

The Start of Something Fun

This story shows how Speed Dating for Shifters started, with Felix meeting Luna at an event. I enjoyed the sparks between Felix and Luna, and the Halloween references were a hoot. A short bit of fun.
