Short and steamy. This was written well, so I was excited to see where the story went, but not much really happened. Its a short story, but more time could’ve been spent building up to the audition. This was a really big deal for her career.

I liked Mikail, I love a strong minded professional woman. I gave it four stars because it kept my attention.

I’ll check out this author’s other work.

3 🌶🌶🌶

This is a quick read full of preconceived notions and miscommunication. The FMC is in a relationship with a high power public figure, which causes her to feel ensured with all the rules and potential lack of compromise and spontaneous actions.

The FMC has the opportunity to audience a promoter for a music festival. When meeting the person in charge, the fmc is warming up, and that is what's used as her audience. This sets the fmc on fire cause the person provider constructive criticism and the FMC feels it's a person attack.

FmC, annoyed at their lover and the recent criticism, when she finally gets in contact with her lover, she picks and fight and become a brat.

Overall, it was a short story and a glimpse into a few hours into the relationship. You start with spicy and then end with spicy. The story felt undone.

I hope to meet them again

The kind of story that makes you remember why 1st person POV is never as reliable as they think they are. At first I was very inclined on disliking Whitney's LI because of how the former was assuming things and relying it to us, then we get the chance to hear the LI say her piece and she shed some light about their relationship and well, suddenly I was not only on her side, but a bit disappointed on Whitney. But it all made the story, as short as it was, more complete, rounded. Not black or white, because that's life. And on top of it all, it was steaaaamy, chef's kiss.

“Yeah, she was definitely caught up in this woman and wasn’t ashamed at all to show it.”

If you are looking for a sapphic novella that centers two femmes then this may be your next read!

-based in ATL
-fem/fem in their 30s
-congresswoman FMC
-Christian jazz artist FMC
-under 60 pages
-relatable spice
-fast pacing
-siblingship
-no epilogue

I thoroughly enjoyed, FMC, Mikail. Her personality meshed well into Whitney’s. I want to read more about them. It ended on a “cliffhanger” note and the story was over before I knew it.

I am definitely getting more into this series to see where the storyline goes.

These are fun and quick books. You have to really read or listen to every word to create a picture and sink yourself in the world Aunt Georgia Lee created. It was a bit quick for my taste. Kudos because the world is short on sapphic stories willing to touch on religion. My favorite part of this book may have been Whitney and her partner trying to have a difficult conversation and really listen to each other near the end of the story. I can't recall if this is an excerpt from a bigger novel, but if it is so, I might have to check it out.

This was a short read, but it was so good! Although this book was short, we got a good amount of plot and spice! We got to see some conflict and angst and we also got to see them make up, communicate, and better their relationship, (and of course make up sex!) I think the author did an amazing job with the pace and plot, especially when you take into consideration the length. Great for anyone who wants a good read that isn’t too long!

Too sudden

I didn't like the excerpt style, would've preferred the storyline stuck to Whitney and Mikhail. There seemed to be a rush to include different characters and storylines instead of fully developing the first two characters introduced. It really threw me off and made me disengage, after Shaun.

4 stars. Super sexy. I love the way Aunt Georgia Lee writes. Her writing style feels so raw and real which I like. The chemistry and dynamics between Whitney and Mikael were great and the sex scenes were top notch. Loved it.
