When the lineage of darkness begins from beyond, the designated protector is forced to abscond…

Morbaeda is a mystical world with three Bellator, Salix Babylonica, and Rex Castra. The late King Sun was killed in a mysterious turn of events along with his wife and three children, and the kingdoms were separated using magical borders.

Cassius Archer is a newly apprenticed knight from the village of Dyrstig in Bellator. He is entrusted with a mission to protect Aislin Grant – a girl from modern day NYC – and they both work to uncover a royal conspiracy at the Bellator Academy, before they become the next victims in a line of murders. Their adventures take them to Sun Castle, the late home of King Sun, and to the depths of the Bellator castle, in a race against time to uncover the biggest secret of their world – what really happened on the night of King Sun’s murder.

Shadows truly corrupt

Amanda Abrom and Hope Abrom have masterly created a whole new world in which you cannot help being pulled into. With such vivid descriptions and world building I felt myself in every scene being pulled deeper and deeper into this three kingdomed realm.

Aislin and Cassius are characters you can’t help rooting for from the first chapter you read of them. Showing a bond that can form quickly under such strained circumstances darkness is one this everyone seems to strive to fight against.

The characters I truly want to know more about are Roman and Verena as their mystery and fight inside them calls out to me. Hoping they will feature greatly in the sequel, this fantasy world is definitely one that anyone should be lucky enough to read if you live fanatic as much as I do!

Every little kids dream is to travel into a magical land and be part of a grand adventure. This book fulfills that dream for any young reader. The MC finds herself transported to a land of magic, mystery and prophecy. The Sun King has died but who is his heir? The destiny of three kingdoms hangs in the balance while evil defends trying to gain a foothold of power. This one was a fabulous read, especially for those of us looking for books we enjoy but are also appropriate enough that we feel comfortable sharing it with a younger audience. This was a really enjoyable book from start to finish and you may need to steal it from your kid’s grip if you plan on ever getting a chance to read it.

Full of imagination, wonder and even mystery, Shadow of Eclipse will keep readers of all ages entertained, and entranced into the world of Morbaeda. The book echoes the fantasy of Tolkien, while blending the coming of age tale seen in Harry Potter, and a fellow New Yorker with the same curiosity and attention the reader will have in finding out the mysteries. As a part 1 in a series, I look forward to the next chapter.

A lot of fun! 5 out of 5

Betrayed

I feel betrayed by this book because I have no idea who to trust and who to truly root for! I knew one of King Sun’s children from the beginning of that, but the mystery is still there surrounding the trio. At parts, I was a little confused as to what was happening, but all in all, it is a great novel and I’m excited for number 2!
