A Perfect Match #3

Teasing the Guy Next Door

Rate this book
An Instalove Friends to Lovers Curvy Woman Romance

Tory
Every time I heard his voice, I always ran over to the door to spy on him. Who could keep their eyes off a guy like that?
Everything about him calls to me, it’s as though my body can’t stay away.
But I can see a darkness in his eyes, something is holding him back.
I can tell from the way he looks at me that he wants me. I want him too. In more ways than one.
He constantly buys my cupcakes; he must have a sweet tooth. I just wonder if I’m the one to satisfy his craving?

Reese
All the guys at the fire department talked about her, it was no wonder I was captivated as soon as we met.
A woman like her could have any guy she wanted, and I’m not just saying that because of her buns.
It’s a shame she keeps herself hidden away in the back office or kitchen; her beauty shouldn’t be locked away like that.
The problem is, I’ve always had a trouble expressing my emotions. My father made sure of that.
It looks like I’m going to have to defeat my demons to win the woman of my dreams.

A PERFECT MATCH is a series of short, sweet, and steamy romances about curvy women finding love and adventure with the guy next door. No cheating. No cliffhangers.

Reese McCoy was a fireman from the Rigby Fire Department next door and made regular visits to Flour Power Bakery every Friday during the time that Tory Keegan was in the backroom doing the accounts. As soon as she heard his voice, she raced to the small glass window to watch him as he purchased his two cupcakes. He took his purchase back to the break room and the guys were all making bets on which one would finally get her to go on a date. He hadn’t seen her face in the 4 years he had been going there, but he noticed the blue hair in the window when she looked out at him. The rest of the day was quiet, so he rode over to his sister’s house for dinner with the family. The cupcakes were for her kids.

Myra had called in sick this Friday, and Tory was exhausted at the increased work. When the firemen heard she was behind the counter today, they all came over to ask her out! She was daydreaming about how her parents had wanted her to find someone and was startled to hear his voice! They had never met face-to-face before. They flirted a little and obviously enjoyed each other’s company. Later Tory tried to convince Myra she should be out sick again! But when Tory was to deliver a huge birthday cake, it was awkward exiting the bakery with it and Myra had left early. As she maneuvered to get it in the car, she somehow knocked over a motorbike. Checking the saddlebags to find the owner revealed the two cupcakes Reese had purchased. She delivered the cake and quickly baked fresh cupcakes for him as she went to offer him a ride home.

Stopping at Jenny’s to drop Reese off for dinner, Jenny was delighted to see a female, the first he had ever brought home! So she grabbed Tory’s arm and took her inside for dinner. The boys were delighted as well to meet the woman who made such delicious cupcakes for them each week. When she drove him home, he invited her in for dessert and to meet his German Shepherd, Cooper. They ate their cupcake and when she asked for a drink, she saw the tension in Reese. He decided to tell him about his drunken father. Reese himself never drank and never would. He instead protected his sister as his father lost everything with his choice of the bottle. Reese saved up and got himself and his sister out of the house, but he was ashamed that his childhood was nothing like Tory’s. Now she knew the worst. He had never shared that with anyone, but it felt right to tell her. Was he starting to fall in love with her? Was he seeing something in her eyes as well?

This was such a sweet, loving story of two people who really seemed like they were made for each other. Would the two of them fall in love? Would they find a HEA waiting for them?

This was a really cute story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this lighthearted story. Reese is a fireman and the fire station is next door to Flour Power a bakery. All the firemen there frequent the bakery and take delight in inviting the owner of the bakery, Tory, to go out on a date. In the four years her bakery has been there, Tory declines all invitations, but every Friday at lunchtime, she takes time away from her accounts to watch through the window when Reese comes to collect his two cupcakes. They finally meet up and Reese convinces Tory to go out with him, this starts a friendship and followed by a hot romance. Finally they are living their happily ever after.

It might be short but it packs a punch right in your heart. Reese has been going to the bakery next to the fire department for quite a while and all he's ever seen of the baker is her blue hair. Then one Friday she has to man the counter and Reece walks in and he is totally captivated by her. They talk and each Friday when he comes to get his cupcakes they talk some more. Loved the characters as Reece was strong and gentle at the same time and had an enormous respect for Tory.. Tory loved how he made her feel special and stuck up for her when the guys were teasing her. This was a beautiful match made in heaven. How nice a story! Just right after a long day of work. With this little romance book you can relax for an hour , drink a coffee and eat a cupcake.
Reese is a firefighter par excellence. Calm, sensitive and protective. He likes his pancakes and cupcakes from the pastry shop next door and the woman who bakes them.
Tory is surveying him from afar for some years now and would like it very much to meet him more privately.
They click from the start and become quickly friends and quicker lovers.
Overall a very lovely read. Fast paced, sexy and a thad romantic.

Behind every good man is an even better woman is a saying often heard. It could be implied during this book with Fireman Reese McCoy being the serious behind the scene guy. Even the girl next door at the bakery says he is almost rude to her when she takes his order each week. This all changes when he meets the bakery owner, Tory Keegan. With her support, he becomes entirely a different man. He learns to let go of his past and live life in the present. This is a fresh a poach for a story line and the chemistry between the characters is outstanding.

Reese is a fireman next door to the bakery that Tory runs. Firemen come over to get donuts all the time and Reese does every Friday like clockwork. That night he always go to the home of his sister and her kids, for supper with them. They start to date and one great scene is the loving food fight, with frosting, flour and whipped cream... what fun. Loved Cooper. She stands behind him emotionally, letting him grow in strength where family is concerned. The characters are strong and determined. The stress of the dad is overcome with good results. The ending is terrific and so happy.

Reese just needs a little love and a push Tory has the love but needs a little push. Reese has a long standing Friday order for the past 4 years. Peeping though the office door to watch him come in to pick up his order of cupcakes is kinda light stalkerish. But hey, what do i know. But knocking over his bike by accident can be good or bad? So this is the beginning of a beautiful adventure. Good read. No cliffhanger

Anna Joung has rapidly become a favorite author. Her stories are well written and leave you with a smile on your face. Teasing The Guy Next Door was no exception. Tory owns her own bakery, Flour Power and has been asked out by all the local firefighters. Reece is fireman that visits her bakery every Friday and Tori has taken to spying on him from her office. When they finally meet, sparks fly and the chemistry is strong. If you enjoy friends to lovers romance this quick story is for you.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Reese and Tory. She runs a bakery and he's a fireman next door. She's spied on him for four years before she gets the chance to meet him. All the guys in the station talk about her as the river nymph, but all he's seen her of her is her blue hair. They hit it off after she knocked his bike over. Great HEA.

An enjoyable and exciting page turner and book three in the A Perfect Match series! The story line is well written, emotionally deep, well-developed, funny, and steamy with family drama and emotional baggage. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is undeniable and HOT! Definitely recommended!

Tory and Reece''s story is one that is filled with pain, struggle but with a lot of understanding, and love. Tory owns the bakery near the fire station, Reece has a standing order but has never seen Tory there, but has always heard the other firemen talk about her.

This was just such an enjoyable story that had so much love and passion, along with a bit of family drama.

Now This One Is FANTASTIC!!!!! 🧁🧯💙🧯🧁
Very cute, short & sweet, funny story. That’s definitely the most fun-filled, naughty food-fight ever💘💘
☺️cute nickname: “little river nymph”
🏅points to the yummy fireman for standing his ground even up to the last straw with his alcoholic father, and loving the baker-chicks style 💙💜🖤💜💙

(P.S. another very, very wrong cover image that doesn’t match the character in the book)

This was a cute little love story that's perfect for reading when you want something not too involved, but that's also well written with interesting characters. I enjoyed Reese and Tory's story very much and recommend it for a quick afternoon read.

So cute

I love this story of a shy baker and her fireman. They are too cute. Nothing like a good short story to bring a smile to your face. I love that the epilogue was so far in advance to know what is going on later.

This is sweet and not just because of the cupcakes. Tory and Reese have amazing chemistry and it was kind of cute how they both were kind of shy with their own insecurities but still liked each other from afar. Once they give in to their connection, it's explosive. A sweet and short read.

Shy

I think nothing them being really shy to do anything about their attraction to one another. Till one day a firefighter from his station was saying not so nice things to her. He steps up give the guy a piece if his mind and they started to talk and get to know one another.

Sweet and romantic story about a hot firefighter and his favorite baker.🥰 Tory had a crush on Reese for quite some time but was to shy to make a move. A sick friend and they finally met officially. Love at first sight with a HEA. A sweet and romantic story without drama👍👍👍👍

A great book

This was fun to read, the romance between Reese and Tory. She watched him for 4 years...yikes. Once they connected, they made a cute couple. He and his sister had a hard life growing up with his father. Loved the ending too. Thanks for a good read. Written by Cindy :)

The heroine of this book has blue hair. This is mentioned not just once or twice, but approximately 347 times in this novella. The girl on the cover? She’s brunette.
That encapsulates this book right there. It’s sloppy and boring. There is no real plot, no real conflict.

It was good.

Had a lot of characters kind of long in the description, but otherwise not bad. It isn't a lot of chapters kind of short but that's okay.
