René Goscinny (1926 - 1977) was a French author, editor and humorist, who is best known for the comic book Asterix , which he created with illustrator Albert Uderzo, and for his work on the comic series Lucky Luke with Morris (considered the series' golden age).

Obelix and Co shares its Marxist strand with the Mansions of The Gods, whilst the Great Crossing and Belgium continue the light-hearted take on the stereotypes of other nations current in Asterix in Britain, Spain, etc.

Bislang der beste Band, den ich gelesen habe. Die erste Geschichte ist ganz gut, die zweite die beste, die ich bislang gelesen habe, und auch die dritte ist sehr gut.

Had much laughs in this set of books - even laughing out loud at times! Another classic Asterix set.
