I’ve made plenty of terrible decisions in my life… but none of them compare to what I did this weekend.
None of them…
I should’ve listened to my inner voice screaming at me when I agreed to go to Vegas with him. My sworn enemy from high school who made my life a living hell. But his muscular and big arms somehow made me forget what he put me through in school. Now he’s a client. One that I find impossible to stay away from. Boone is still as devastatingly handsome as he was in high school. Enough to make my common sense go out the window.
Fast forward to this weekend. I’ve got a wedding ring on my finger in Vegas. It honestly looks like it came out of a cereal box. And I’ve got some explaining to do.
Accidentally married. Secretly in love. And royally screwed. How do you think his family will take the news?
DNF this one. Two extremely unlikable characters. Kate was rude, and held onto a high school grudge like it was her only personality. And spoiler alert it was. She was so hot then cold and back and forth it was a mess. Boone was a former Marine with ptsd, but quite frankly I was getting ptsd from his behavior and actions. Not to mention how he treats Kate who he wanted so bad but at the same time tells her to get over it. I agree but his delivery sucked. One minute they’re saying terrible things to each other then the next they’re pouting, then having sex. With zero and I mean zero angst that was chemistry. Two immature people who both need to grow up and put on big boy and girl panties. It was a mess and I couldn’t even finish because I pictured that he would be the obnoxious brother in law with the horrible wife everyone hates. I have one of those and woof it came through strong in this book. Not for me.

Television shows and movies have taken pleasure in idealizing high school years as a perfectly happy and healthy period of an individual’s life. If mischief occurs or jokes are plotted, no one is hurt—either physically or emotionally. All is humorous, and everyone, even the focus of the gag or stunt, is among the laughing crowd as the show closes. But, in reality, high school is rarely a time of perfect happiness where the only tears are those of overflowing happiness.
And so, in Conroe, Texas, the years of high school were not ones of unending pleasure—or at least not for Katie Riley. As a child of the foster system, all she really wanted was to disappear into to the crowd and do her school work unnoticed, and certainly not singled out for false attention, especially not the exaggerated interest of handsome, privileged, and un-fettered Boone Remington, younger brother of Ryan and Wyatt and older half-brother to Bart, Bryce and Will. And one thing is certain, the memories that Kate had of high school did not cast Boone as prince charming—not after the derogatory names he called her when she refused to date him, or the pairs of broken eyeglasses when he intentionally tripped her and especially not after he spilled two cups of punch on her lovely yellow senior dance dress.
Now, years later, when the days of high school and even college are only memories, and the strawberry-blonde haired, green-eyed adult Kate is no longer the bullied foster child. She is an accomplished personal trainer, possessing a strong, lean, toned body, who works at local gym providing group and individual exercise sessions. So, when her high school nemesis, Boone Remington, appears for workouts in her gym and even dances his way into one of her salsa classes, she carries on as the professional she is, and ignores his high school-like actions. But she also notices that his exercise routine of weights, running and lunges seems driven—even obsessive. And occasionally, his eyes seem to get lost in memories as he works through rep after rep. But, with his persistent attempt to ask her out, it seems that he hasn’t really changed. So finally, he wears her down, and she agrees to a future date. But, she has a plan—she will let him spend his money wining, dining and entertaining her. His pay back for his high school hurtful actions will be to have her drain his bank account on dates, and it will begin by accompanying Boone on a business trip to Vegas where Boone has assured her that she would have her own room in the penthouse suite that had been booked by Remington Petroleum. It seems the adage of don’t get mad, just get even works! And besides, what could go wrong on a free trip to Vegas?
Cowboy’s Accidental Wife, concludes the story of the Remington’s, now focusing on the three brothers from their dad’s first marriage when the reader meets the number three of the six Remington brothers, Boone, who is brother to Ryan and Wyatt, and half-brother to Bart, Bryce and Will. Each Remington novel is a stand-alone story, but having met one of the Brothers Remington, the reader will want to follow each brother’s pathway to love and family.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I bought a copy for my "read-again" titles.
Cowboy's Accidental Wife is the final installment in the Cowboy Billionaires Series. It is the farewell to the Remington Brothers in Conroe Texas. I personally hate to see them go. I loved all 6 of these books. While it may not be necessary to read them in order, I find it is best; that way you get to know all the brothers and side characters fully.
Boone is the final brother, one we know the least about. Boone is the Information Security officer for the family company. He learned cyber security during his time in the Marines. The Marines also hardened his heart after losing several of his buddies in combat including his best friend. He suffered from survivors guilt, feeling guilty living a good life while they couldn't but also that he was failing them by not fulfilling promises made. He threw himself into his work and used working out as his way of dealing with his feelings.
Kate is the girl Boone terrorized in High School (because she refused to go out with him) but also the girl he could never forget. She and her brother were Foster kids that only ever had each other. Kate became a High School teacher, her brother enlisted in the Army. When her brother was killed on deployment, Kate was devastated. She quit the job she loved and got a job at the local gym. She worked her way up to personal trainer and found working out was the only way to ease her feelings of loss.
Boone and Kate meet unexpectedly at the gym, both remembering high school but totally differently. Boone sets out to try to win Kate over any way he can. Kate agrees to a weekend in Vegas with Boone to "put it to him" but instead after a drunken night, they find themselves "accidentally married"?
Their story of enemies to lovers is wonderfully told, has an unexpected twist, and of course has a HEA. You can not go wrong with this installment or any and all in the series. I hate to see the Remingtons go and hope Ms. Comeau will find more Cowboys to grace us with.
I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
Cowboy's Accidental Wife is book 6 in the Cowboy Billionaire series by J. P. Comeau. It is the last book in the Remington brothers series. The last unwed brother, Boone didn't see himself with one woman or any children, He is the chief information security officer of the family's oil company. He grew up following a different path than his brothers. He joined the marines right out of high school, serving abroad before finding his way back to the family business.
At the gym he meets a fiery strawberry-blonde with the hardened green eyes. She's trainer, Kate Riley and Boone's high school crush. He never dated her in high school; she turned him down everytime he asked her out. To get even with her, he tormented her mercilessly to the point she wanted to run away. She hasn't forgiven him.
Boone and Kate are both broken people who have hardened their hearts because of losing people important in their lives. Spending time together opens their hearts but neither wants to admit it nor be open to the other.
One crazy night in Vegas, they wake up to being married. They have things in their past that allows them to truly empathize with the other. These two have a great chemistry together and their spirits lighten around the other. Is it enough to keep them together?
I am sad to see this series come to an end. The Remington brothers are such a supportive family for each other. Their banter is fun and spirited. The series doesn't have to be read in order but information does compound about the brothers.
Cowboy's Accidental Wife deals with computer hackers, PTSD, loss of family but also has romance, brotherly love and family. J.P. Comeau has written the perfect final in this book.
This is the sixth and final book in the Cowboy Billionaire's series. I've loved this series and I'm sad to see it end. Boone is the last of the single Remington brothers. Everyone is paired up or married now except Boone. The book is an enemies/high school bully to lover’s kind of story. Normally this isn’t my favorite trope, but I really enjoyed this one. It’s well written, entertaining, emotional and steamy.
Boone Remington is never planning to get married or settle down with one woman. He’s fine with the hookup and not getting serious. Boone is dealing with some serious emotional trauma. He tells himself that it’s because he has crazy long work hours, and no woman would want to put up with that but it’s an excuse because what he really doesn’t want to do is let anyone close to him because he can’t handle anymore loss in his life. He’s moving along fine with his plan to stay alone until, Bam, here comes Kate who flips his world upside down. Kate hates that she’s attracted to Boone, especially since he made her life a living nightmare when they were in high school. Boone harassed her and did horrible stuff to her in high school because she refused to go out with him. When he invites her to go with him to Vegas for the weekend, she sees this as a chance to get revenge on the way he treated her in high school. But things don’t go as planned and they end up married after a drunken night out on the town. Kate also realizes that Boone has changed a lot since high school. He’s grown up and he’s dealing with loss just like she is. Can these two broken souls help each other heal? Will they turn their drunken mistake marriage into the real thing?

This is the 6th and final story in the Cowboy’s Billionaire Series and the last remaining bachelor, Boone returns home to work at the family business after serving in the military trying to find his own way in life. Boone has a past that keeps him focused on work and exercising to keep his mind busy so while at the gym one day he runs into Kate the girl he bullied in high school as she would not go out on a date with him. Kate also has a past that keeps her from moving on and even changed jobs to move away from her memories. Boone knows he wants to get to know Kate and makes a move for her and she only holds onto her pain and hurt of the past. The tension and attraction to one another is so strong that Boone gets Kate to let her walks down for a short time. When an unexpected trip to Vegas comes up Boone gets Kate to agree to come for a free trip and boy do they make some good and bad decisions that were to stay in Vegas. These two have genuine feelings for one another but their past and pain makes it harder to move on. Kate is one special woman who helps Boone deal with the pain from his military days and he quickly realizes Kate is the one for him. With the threat to their security at work Boone discovers who is after their trade secrets which only pushes the other 5 brothers to go all family owned and get rid of their board of directors. These two find a way to come together and along the way their past becomes the future full of love. I enjoyed how Kate does not let Boone get away with anything and in the end he is a better man. This series is one great collection of cowboy’s and their families who come together in love and the family business. Beautifully emotional .... the last brother finds his love and they find their healing in each other
Cowboy's Accidental Wife is the sixth and final book in the Cowboy Billionaires series. It is the story of Boone, the final brother to find love. That love is with Kate. They had known each other in high school, well actually he had a major crush on Kate but she would never go out with him. So as any young idiot male does he did not try to win her over but instead bullied her. Kate and her brother had been in foster care and they only had each other. Both Kate and Boone are suffering from past events when they meet again. That attraction is still there but again Kate is not interested but Boone is determined to win her over this time, no matter what it takes. Finally Kate agrees to spend a weekend in Vegas with him. But one night ends up with a drunken trip to the chapel and a marriage they will have to figure out if they want or not. At the same time there is the overarching story-line of the family company and who is trying to steal their trade secrets. Boone is a cyber security expert and with him back from the Marines he is one the trail. Will he find out who it is and take them down or will the Remington brothers lose it all?
I am sorry to say goodbye to Conroe, Texas and the Remington brothers. This series has been a lot of fun and entertaining. The books are well written, have good story-lines, wonderful characters and a nice overarching thread that weaves it way throughout the series.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Cowboys Accidental Wife by J. P. Comeau is a captivating, heartwarming touching and steamy romance story of Boone and Kate..two broken souls, who cant find a way to move forward in their lives. Having history together in their younger years.. when the young Boone asked Kate to go out with him and Kate turned him down many times over..Boone is rom a wealthy family, popular at school but lost when he cant have Kate he makes her life miserable not knowing that Kate and her brother is in a foster care and the foster parent didnt do their responsibility good..Kate for all the hurdles she persevere to chane her life and become a teacher but when his brother died while deployed she became lost and change her life drasticaly from being a teacher to be a gyms instaructor knowing that her brother hate to go to the gym..Boone has left his Navy career in the past and now working as the head security of their company but because of thwhat happened in the war he has a PTSD getting flash back of what happened and the lost of his brothers lives.. He never expected that work-out at the gym would bring the girl he crushed on in high school and couldn’t have back into his life..Boone paid a lot of money for Kate to be his trainer,so when Boone needs to be in Vegas for work he asked Kate to join him free of charge to atone what he did to her years ago..after a drunken night, they find themselves "accidentally married..An enemies to lovers romance story with a twist..great series!!

Boone enlisted in the Marines after high school so he could forge his own path separate from his brothers and family. Now he’s back in his hometown working as the CISO at the family’s petroleum company and exercising himself to exorcise his memories of his fallen friends. Kate is the one girl who refused his attention in high school and he retaliated the bullying her with mean pranks and harsh words. Now Kate is a personal trainer at the gym where he works out and he hires her to work out with him so he doesn’t have to workout alone.
Sparks ignite into a passionate encounter in the ladies locker room. A last minute weekend trip to Vegas has them fighting and then apologizing - these two finally start talking and discovers they have a lot of things in common. A night out in Vegas turns into a drunken prank where they decide to get fake married to fake out his brothers and everyone in their hometown. When they wake up the next morning and find out the marriage wasn’t so fake.. they both freak out.
Can two passionate characters with a lot of history between them and a significant amount of loss find their one and fall in love?
The story was fast paced and the characters grew through the course of the story. There is some witty banter between the two main characters and a few steamy encounters. This was the first story I read by this author and this is the last book in a series about 6 brothers. I followed the story fairly well, but Some of the comments between the brothers wasn’t fully appreciated, but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story.

This is the story of the only bachelor of the Remington family and his high school live Kate. Boone bullied Kate during high school because she refused to date him. He made her life a living hell. After the years they lost communication and their lives had tragic events. He was practicing in the town gym when he saw Kate but did not recognize her. She immediately recognized him and memories from the past came back. She avoid him but he wanted to demonstrate her that he was a different man. One step at a time they got closer and began a “relationship” that ended in a crazy marriage in Vegas and a lot of challenges in front of them, specially lack of trust and scare to lost a loved one. I loved this book! The author gave continuation of the situation in the company with one of the investors and the plan to make the company one family owned. On the other hand, the novel describes the struggles of the soldiers that came back and lost their friends during attacks. Also, describes the suffering of the family of dead soldiers. Both characters closed their lives to love because they were scare to lose another loved one. Step by step they opened to each other and took the chance to love and be happy. Great plot, great characters, great sequence of events.

Brilliant last book of the series. Boone never saw having a family of his own in his future until he saw Kate the girl he asked put in school and she turned him down. Boone is fighting his own demons from when he was in the marines and his unit was killed. Kate couldn’t believe Boone was in her class after he her high school days a nightmare she hated him but there he was in her class. Boone had also booked her lunch class as his personal trainer but Kate found them good as he just wanted a training partner as he didn’t need a trainer. Boone ends up asking Kate on a weekend away with him telling her one of his brothers backed out and he has a conference there. Kate can’t believe they are married but the Boone is sharp with her ends up going to her room crying Boone comes in and comforts her. Kate realises when Boone goes quiet he is having flashbacks and she tries to help him. The last night at Vegas was the best they talked all about Kate’s deceased brother and Boone about his unit the first time he spoke to anyone. Once home Boone asked her out but when Boone thought he was thinking of Kate is his forever he actually said it out load and this spooked Kate and took her home. Kate had mixed emotions but when she worked through them it left her with one thing she wanted Boone and should never run away now just to find him and keep him.
Boone and Kate have a history growing up together as kids. He bullied her because she rejected him whenever he asked her out. Now years later they run into each other at a gym where she's a personal trainer at and Boone starts flirting with her when he sees her with a client. Although he doesn't know right off who she is just that she's familiar when he asks around and finds out who she is he knows that he wants to go out with her still. Kate hasn't forgotten who he is and after getting a comaplaint from her last client she can't aford for Boone to do the same so she plays nice. Things starts to go well between them and he asks her to go on a trip with him for his work and things go crazy and they end up married. Will they finally see that they belong together? Will they find out who is hacking into the company?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is the sixth and final book in the Cowboy Billionaire's series featuring the Remingon brothers. Boone's the last one that's single and he has no plans to change that. He's back in town working the family oil business and dealing with his emotional trauma from being in the service, He runs into Kate at the gym where she teaches and he hires her to be his trainer. They had a love/hate/enemy relationship in high school. They both have a lot of baggage and hurt in their past and together they are just what the other needed. Nothing warms the soul like a soul mate even if it takes you a while to recognize that. Their attraction and chemistry is off the charts and a trip to Las Vegas ends up with a massive ring on her finger. My o my, what's a girl to do especially when you don't remember the wedding/ This is a really cute read that is hard to put down once you begin reading. The characters are likable and well developed. Love how Boone finally got his date! This is about Boone and Kate. They have known each other since high school when Boone was rejected by Kate for a date and where he also decided to be a stinker about the rejection and make her life hell while in school. Each of the characters are dealing with loss and once they meet again as adults, they end up changing their ways to help the other out. Boone lost some of his men in the military on his last mission while Kate lost her only brother to the military.
Boone does everything right, but Kate is still mad at everything that Boone made her go through and for that it takes her time to accept his multitude of apologies. The story has drama in it and some action, so get ready to see how Boone protects his family’s company from hackers! Would love to see how they plan out their lives – maybe a bonus epilogue!

This book brings us Boone Remington and Katie, the girl that Boone bullied in high school, and she is still bearing the shame from those years. Boone realizes that he was awful to her in high school, and he does apologize, but sometimes saying sorry is not enough when you're still carrying the scars. Boone is a workaholic and is trying to find out who is trying to ruin his and his brother's business. It was also nice to see his brothers in this book as well. What happens in Vegas, again, does not stay in Vegas. Kate learns of Boone's life in the military and how he still holds himself responsible. These are two individuals who are broken and only the two of them can mend each other. This was a terrific series, and I highly recommend this book as well as the others. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
Two high school enemies turn into two adult best friends and lovers. He had been the school bully towards her because of immaturity and youthful cruelty. She had refused to date him and his revenge was terrible. I was really surprised that she was so magnanimous to allow him t o make it up to her. Also they both shared great loss through death and war. They finally came full circle in their relationship , back to each other. The excessive dirty language detracted from the enjoyment of the story for me though. The story didn't need all that language to sell it. It was good all on its own. Try it without that and I think you will see the story is still powerful without that aspect of the writing. There needed to be a little more connection to the ranch to support your title. Over all though a good read.
Making Their Hearts Whole Again Together - Boone and Kate are two broken souls, with a complex history between themselves, who meet as adults and realise the more time they spend together, that they are the balms that can heal each other. Their banter is smooth and playful and their chemistry is off-the-charts hot, but their ability to communicate and read each other effectively, makes the story a worthwhile read.
I really enjoyed reading this entertaining story, that will keep you engrossed from the beginning, right until the end. I can truly say it is a gem of an addition to the series and worth a five star rating.
I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Boone Remington made personal trainer Kate’s last years of high school a nightmare. All because she wouldn’t go out with him. Add to that being in the foster system and then losing her brother, she’s become very closed off. When she recognizes him at her gym, she goes out of her way to avoid him. Unfortunately for her, he won’t be ignored.
Former Marine Boone has his own demons. He enlisted right out of high school. He wanted to carve his own path away from his wealthy family. When he recognizes Kate, he’s determined to convince her to go out with him. He knows he was horrible to her and he regrets it. Now he wants to convince her that he’s changed. When they go to Vegas for a “convention” they get to know each other in ways neither expected.
Boone is the last of the Remington boys who hasn't settled, but fohis past and promises he made keep going on a loop in his mind! He goes to gym to blow off the steam and stop is mind reeling from the weight of losing his squad. However as CISO of Remington oil, he has his hands fulltrying to find the person who is behind their security breach. What he finds is surprising and he will do everything in his power to catch the person but a trip to. egas and a drunken night changes evrything for him and Kate. Kate has her own demons and her high school past with Boone makes it difficult for her to accept his apologies. Their journey to healing is arduous but the end will justify the means. JP Comeau deals with survivor guilt with compassion and I volunteered to review this story.

Cowboy's Accidental Wife is the sixth book in J. P. Comeau's billionaire Cowboys series. Boone has returned from the military to work for the family oil business. He sees Katy, a girl he tormented in high school, at the gym where he works out. Katy would love to get revenge for Boone's bullying and devises a plan to make him pay. Too much alcohol and a trip to Vegas brings about lifechanging consequences. There are enough open-door bedroom scenes to make a saint blush and enough romance to make any girl swoon! This book had all the feels that you expect from J. P. Comeau and she delivers another 5 star book to this series.
Cowboy's Accidental Wife. What a great ending to a great series! I enjoyed this book! It kept me intrigued in the story of Boone and Kate working out their issues. Boone bullied Kate when they were in high school which she never forgot and now that they were older, she was determined to remind him and get payback. Somehow that doesn't work out the way she plans. This was a great series to read I recommend to all. This is book 6 and last in Comeau's Cowboy's Billionaire series. A great addition and conclusion to this series. I loved these Remington brothers and in this read we have Boone's story. Home from the military, he's working at his family ranch and working out at the gym to purge his military demons where he meets Kate who is a personal trainer at the gym and whom he bullied in high school (because he's always liked her) and now that he's back - he's out to show her he's a changed man. Can she forgive him the scars he left her with all those years ago and fall for the man he is now?!?

Boone and Kate did not have a good start to their relationship considering he was less than stellar in high school. Fast forward and they're both attracted to each other but she is still wary of him. Put two people who don't get along in Vegas and unexpected things can happen. I found it funny that they end up together. It made for a really fun and exciting explanation to the family but the tension and longing between them added an extra layer. I devoured this and I am sad to see this family go.
This story was interesting. Boone and Kate hated each other so to speak. He still thought she was beautiful and he knew he had hurt her when they were still in high school. She carried the anger against him everyday. They both had lost the ones they loved and were afraid to love again in fear of their loved ones being taken away from them. Glad they worked it out and moved past he hurt and fears. The whole family was so sweet to everyone. Good ending to the series.
A incredible entertaining well written sweet steamy romance story as old enemies become lovers. This enjoyable storyline is interesting and smooth flowing as these two amazing broken people find their way to move forward together with forgiveness, understanding, old bullying, need for revenge, love and more in a heartwarming story with sizzling chemistry, and a laugh or two. The characters have history of attraction and sizzling chemistry as the head toward their own HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed this incredible ARC.
Boone is part of a ranch family that started an petrol company except he joined the Marines when he graduated high school. Kate was the girl he ran roughshod over because she would not date him. They meet again as adults and are both “gym rats” but, she’s a personal trainer. She still hates him from high school. He wants to prove that he has changed. Will the chemistry and attraction be enough to put the past to rest? Very good story with subtle PTSD undertones. I liked it a lot.

I loved this story! Lots of ups and downs. Other than a mention of a family ranch I don't get the cowboy part. It is still a wonderful read! Boone was a horrible bully in high school. An incident when he was in the military changed everything. Kate was Boone's target in high school because she wouldn't go on a date with him. Years later, she's a fitness instructor and Boone shows up at her gym. They are both carrying a pile of pain, regrets and loss. Can they find forgiveness.. maybe even love?

The author continues to pull us into the lives of the Remington Brothers. Boone, the last single man of the family, cannot help but fight the memories of his last military mission. Kate is back in her hometown but does not want to get involved with Boone, again. They have each lost people in their lives, but neither once can fully move beyond the grief. Will they be able to help each other heal?
