Griffin O’Shea is Forgotten.

Maybe it’s a good thing no one outside the prison realm remembers everything he did to earn his place in the dark kingdom.

Now that he’s back in the world of the Light Fae, he wants to earn their trust, their loyalty, and that means going after the missing prince and princess of Iskalt, children who call him uncle. It means searching through the human realm for a vanishing village only he can see and a book full of dangerous magic and devious secrets that are better left alone.

With a human leading the search, Riona at his side, and a profound lack of magic, the chances of finding anything they seek have never been worse.

But the odds won’t stop them. Nor will an illness threatening Griffin’s life.

Even if he has to crawl through the portals and face the king of Myrkur on his knees, he cannot stop.

Because there are things worse than

Watching those he loves die before him.

Seeing the realms of the fae crumble into dust.

Returning to the prison realm means being forgotten once again. Returning without the book could mean certain death.

But when all roads point to war, Griffin has no other choice.

The king must be defeated. His vast army must be stopped.

And this time, Griffin wants to be the hero instead of the villain.

Fae's Power is the second book in the Crimes of the Fae series featuring fae out for redepmtion, others desiring revenge, and an entire world that desperately needs to remember the things that have been lost to magic.

Melissa A. Craven (the "A" stands for Ann—in case you were wondering) was born near Atlanta, Georgia, but moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of seventeen. She still thinks of Cleveland as home, so it was only natural for Emerge to take place there.
Today, she is back in Atlanta—for some reason she can't seem to stay away from the ungodly heat that makes her long for things like "lake effect snow" and wind that will knock you flat.
Melissa decided a long time ago that the “life checklist” everyone else was clutching so tightly in their fists, just wasn’t for her. She does everything backwards because she is weird like that, but then, she is an artist and artists are notoriously "unique" and "quirky."
She is an avid student of art and design, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of West Georgia in 2009. She worked as an interior designer for several years, but she's always thought she might like to be a writer when she grows up.
In her spare time, if she has any, she enjoys shopping for derelict furniture she refinishes to exercise the interior design part of her brain.

There's so much happening in this book that I need some time to breathe, but at the same time I want to read on to know what's going to happen next! Often the second book in a trilogy is a long haul, just waiting for the third and final part, but this is definitely not the case with Fae's Power. I can hardly imagine what's going to be revealed next time...

I love the characters and their evolvement, the surprises and twists, and I'm sucked into this world as soon as I start reading. The travels they make to the human world offer a smile or two as well!

* I received an ARC from the authors and I'm giving my honest review. *

I was blown away with book two. I loved Griffin more and more in this book. In this book, they are on the rush to find the two powerful twins Tia and Toby. This series for sure has the slowest romance I've ever read in a book. I loved it and hate it at the same time. I'm constantly yelling at them to just kiss and be with each other. So in a way, this book is a very accurate relationship. They take things slow and get to know each other. Definitely no insta love. In this book we get to have Riona's point of view and I really enjoyed seeing what is going on in her mind. To see what exactly is her plan. Poor Griff is just going through it blind.

The plot twists the author included were just that a twist. I wasn't expecting a lot of it but one of them after it was put into play it totally made sense. The only thing writing-wise that I wasn't a huge fan of was there was a lot of telling instead of showing. But the pacing was good enough that I could overlook that. The world-building is amazing I feel like after reading the 5 books in this series that I really know everything important about these kingdoms and their history. You would really like this book if you love fae fantasy adventure and family stories.

An easy and light read as all the books in this series have been. Sometimes you just need something less complicated but still a decent story line. A few twists but nothing crazy as well as more character development which I enjoyed. Again, this is just if you’re looking for a fluff type of book to keep you engaged but not much to process.

Out of all the books in the series i found this the most lacking, it didn’t interest me as much as the others and the plot wasn’t reammy engaging. I mostly half-listened my way through this audiobook. I think this really suffers from middle book syndrome and hope the next one will be better.

The search continues for the lost book and now the twins too. Griff fights for both the family he left behind in the prison realm and for the family that has forgotten him. They are putting all their trust in him but of course nothing is easy or as it may seem. Riona is having a harder and harder time as this quest continues with where her loyalties are with and all the secrets she has kept. Myles as always brings great humor to the struggles they come up against. I got to say I love his references. I got to say I am caring more and more for Griff. It was hard to like him in the previous series with all the bad he'd done but he has fought so hard to be a better person each day. It takes a good story teller to make you care for the one that has brought so much pain to people in the past.

This book is just awesome! Following on from the previous book Griffins journey continues and wow what a journey it is! It’s full of Non stop action and revelations, action and surprises, betrayal and twists and turns and a storyline that will leave you breathless after travelling on a rollercoaster full of emotions. There’s so much going on that you get lost in the story until the very end!

I loved this series. Its a young adult series, but its so addictive.
Griffin is by far my main man in this series:)
He goes from horrible to down right loveable. He redeems himself so well.

I don't even know where to start. This series is now tied with the Wizardoms series as one of my all time favorites. I have watched these characters grow and flourish. So many great characters along with plenty of humor & action. This series has so much to offer. It is filled with greed, compassion, deceipt and loyalty. I am now in love with the character Gulliver. His antics through this book made me laugh along with Miles. After Griffin was sent to the prison realm, he gained a son, Gulliver. He had people who loved him and friends. Then he & Riona were sent on a mission to retrieve a magical book that King Eagen believed could help him remove the magical barrier around the realm. To complete this mission, they had to return to Iscalt which meant facing Brea, Lochlan, Miles & all the others he had betrayed. This journey will reveal many truths to Griffin and Riona as well. They will need to defeat Eagen and his army before they start a war. This plot just keeps twisting and surprising me with each page. I only guessed one secret in this one and the rest blew my mind. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one. If you haven't read this series yet, you should. It will leave you speechless.

‘Fear is the biggest motivator’
Conflicted loyalties only lead to conflicting agendas. Many of the characters struggle with and clash in various areas regarding gratitude, choosing their loved ones over the greater good, self-preservation, blind faith, family ties, wanting to reveal secrets best kept hidden, etc. One person’s betrayer is another’s savior.

This book deals with the topic of accountability, earning back trust, redemption, and self-forgiveness. Merely saying “sorry” isn’t always enough for others to try re-establishing a relationship. Just as physical wounds need time to heal, so do the emotional ones. Give them the space to process…

Human technology is a replacement for magic that we don’t have. Like elevators, telephones, and Yellow cabs (I’ll take the self-cleaning chamber pot any day).

Fave quote:
‘Because there are things worse than death.’

Now on to Fae’s Promise then Rebellion, Refuge, and Return. I already have Fae’s End, which releases after the beginning of May.

I KNEW IT!!!!!! It feels so good to know my intuition was right on the twins when they were brought up at the end of the third book for Brea and Lochlan’s story.

I have so many feelings about what is going on with Griff and Riona at the end of this book. So many questions that need to be answered before the end of the third one and I’m not sure if they will be.

Absolutely cannot stand the twins grandmother (if you have read the books you know who I’m talking about) and am still piecing together what her endgame is in this entire thing.

I hate how Lochlan is acting at the end of the book. He was so good throughout the first and almost all of the second book when it came to Griff but the moment Tia released the magic she did and he remembered he changed and I don’t like it. I want the other Lochlan back, the one who called Griff his brother and family. Not, as Miles calls him, “douche-Loch.”

I cannot wait to start the final book in the Crimes of the Fae trilogy inside the Queens of the Fae series.

So indecisive

Everything about this book gave me whiplash.. Everything bounced back and forth, love to hate, trust to distrust, family to strangers.. it was difficult to keep up with. Which is why it only gets 4 stars. The surprise just wasn't there anymore, you could see it coming.

This one travelled a lot (literaly) but it definitely needed to. The parts where they are in the human realm scared of elevators or exited about remote controls was hilarious to me. Being around those things you don't think of it as magic but the fae do which was slightly humorous.

The ending is of course a huuugggee cliffhanger.. it of course left me with more questions, I did however get my answer from my question in book 3 (!!).. still can't believe that.

This last book better end magnificently or I will be so disappointed.

Kingdoms of the Fae

When there is power or a throne involved the Fae would sell their soul (if they had one to) to steal it, ascend to it or marry in to it. There is no love lost between family as the Fae lack that emotional connection humans thrive on and hunger for. When they are shown a different way that there can be peace and a sense of community it gives them a totally different perspective on life. Maybe that is why so many of them are fascinated by humans who have the one thing they don't. Griffin has come a long way in this book, he has slated his demons and trying to make amends for his mistakes. A few revelations throw him for a loop but he stays the course. He tries to do the right thing and save the people he loves if they won't remember it.

This continues Griffin's story as he returns from the prison realm with Riona and Gulliver. Griffin is looking everywhere for his twin niece and nephew, Tia and Toby. He doesn't want to meet his family down. But he must return to the prison realm to protect the family he left behind. This book has a lot of movement between worlds and Griffin's magic seems to be waning as he gets sicker and it's taking longer to recover each time he creates a portal. The chemistry between Griffin and Riona is the slowest.... It's not slow burn.. the stove is barely on warm. 😆 I really appreciate Griffin's determination. A lot happens in the latter half of the book and it seems to roll right into the next one.

Seriously... this series is absolutely everything

I cannot tell you how good this series is; I have literally gone through half of it in less than a week.

Fae's Power is the second installment within the Crimes of the Fae series and dear god is it one you don't want to miss. Just when we start to learn the goal of Griffin and his role within everything the twins go missing. Within this book, we follow Griffin's journey to find the twins and a journey it surely is.

This series and Griffin's story is absolutely ridiculous, I just can't believe where this all came from like jesus... off to read the next book haha

Love this series. I think I liked the first three books a bit better but I still really am entertained by this series. I think Griffith is my favorite character. But I love that in this particular book all the original characters are in it. Super awesome. Lots of emotion in the book. And of course, it was kind of cool that I was right about one of the secrets. I called it when it first occurred. I love when that happens but yet it is still a surprise. I’m anxious to start book 6. It’s the last book in this part of the series. Not the end of the books in this world.

Book 2 in Crimes of the Fae series

Striving to make a difference. Righting past wrongs. Promises, promises. Destiny...choose own path.

Loch's story continues in this second installment of the second trilogy in the overall Queens of the Fae series. Betrayal, trust, and secrets abound. It's filled with strong characters who show tremendous growth within a detailed world setting.

Released

Griffin wasn't released from the fea prison realm to make cookies and knit sweaters. He had a job. To find a way to bring down the barrier trapping everyone in the dark kingdom. While he didn't fail, he didn't succeed. When he returns to the prison realm he learns truths he can never unlearn. Will it be enough to save everyone he loves?

The back and forth with keeping track of who remembers who was a little difficult for me but I’m happy to keep listening to this series. I hope that Loch can learn to forgive Griff and they can fight together in the war against the prison realm! Can’t wait to see where this story ends off in the next book!

There is so much happening, maybe even tooooo much happening. They change worlds so many times I can’t recall all the time they went to the human world. But the ending was nice. The action kept me entertained and I want to know what will happen next!

Although this series hasn't been what I was expecting going in, man am I hooked. I do feel, they books could be 2 in 1 as they often just end when you think there's another chapter but otherwise super enjoying and onto the next.

It was satisfying to FINALLY have confirmation on the parentage of the twins. Still irritated me though.
A lot of growth from Griff. I’m interested to see how it plays out now that everyone has their memories back.
