When an American winds up dead on the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, one of Ethan's old flames calls him and MBLIS for help. Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
Ethan and Robbie are assigned to the case when an American is killed on the island of Hispaniola trying to cross the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic while the Haitian drug cartel is very active. Things get even worse after that. A great story.
This book was much like it's forerunner. Plenty of action, another story within a story. More water, knocks on the head, good drinks, and a reason to come back. Like martinis, one is never enoug
As usual this book lived up to the other eight in this series. It was a very good read and hard to put down. I have number 10 already and I'm sure it will be as good as the others.
I have not read the 1st book, but now I will. This one is based in Dominica with 2 US agents helping with a severe drug problem. There are many altercations and it is all fast paced with a little love and mystery thrown in. Well worth reading!
I found this author purely by accident. I've been reading him ever since. Characters are great. You feel for all the good guys and wanna take out all the bad guys. This is a great series. Read them all.
Another great story about Ethan and Robbie, this time concerning a monster drug in Haiti. I love these books. They're fast flowing and exciting. A very good read
