I absolutely love Hendrix and Gemma!! Having these three books together in one set is so much better for seamless reading. To follow this couple as they meet, come to know each other and grow into a loving couple, through all the obstacles they must face, is mind blowing. Getting to know their backstories, learning how they each overcame their pasts, putting the other person before themselves, to forge a tight knit relationship that stands the tests of time that would rip so many others apart. The hardships they face at a young age will only make them that much more of a force to be reckoned with. I will definitely be reading these books over and over again, falling in love with the whole gang in August Clover each time I do so.

tragedy in life you got a love those accommodations

I have to say I love the male leading character in this serious. He’s much more different than the male alpha characters I read in romance books these days he’s more of the silent brooding and supportive type. I lovefew of thesurpporting characters The elderly neighbor and Mac. I can relate to Mac because of her ADHD and how Author describe the symptoms that she has. What I recommend this book yes if you love music tragic love stories and a little mystery. The reason why I gave this book a four star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️review as I don’t know how I feel about the female main character.

Book 1:
What a great book, it showed the life of a young girl who lived through a tragic life event and managed to come back from it. But like a lot of these romance stories someone has to come along and try to destroy it.
Book 2:
I love this series by J.A. Owenby.. Instead of sleeping last night I was up reading book 2. I would have started with book 3 but it was after 2 a.m. by then. You learn a lot in this book that will make your skin crawl and people who deserve punishment get it. I strongly recommend this.
Book 3:
This was the perfect ending to this story . I saw the heroine have a lot of growth from the first 2 books until now. I look forward to reading the rest of the books.

Absolutely LOVED this series! I couldn't stop reading them! You will be in roller coaster of emotions in this series. Expect to bawl from time to time. Gemma and Hendrix are amazing, but you will connect with ALL the characters! This first book really opened my eyes to things going on in real life right now. It is a story that helps you realize there is hope. That no matter the bad you go through, you deserve happiness. You should really read the other books after these 3. You get more stories that are just as amazing and gets you right in the feels! I cannot wait to read more about Gemma and Hendrix!!!!

I absolutely loved this trilogy! Gemma and Hendrix were an amazing couple. I loved how patient he was with her. And I loved how he drove her crazy but yet was able to win her over
The friendship they both had with Mac was so special and true. Everyone needs a friend like Mac. They overcame so much together. Between both their families they were thrown into some crazy stuff.
These books had me on an emotional rollercoaster that's for sure.
There were so many twists and turns in these books I couldn't put them down. I read these books in 3 days
I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the Love and Ruin series and get to know the other characters in this world.

So much potential

Honestly this book has so much potential but it’s so over the top. I honestly couldn’t stand the female main Character. She had a nasty attitude, was selfish in only thinking about her feelings and was just so uncaring about situational awareness and safety for someone who was assaulted. Why would you put yourself through so much because of your decisions. Also as a person with ADHD do we constantly have to blame certain things of Mac on her ADHD like okay we get it but certain personality traits aren’t due to ADHD. Like being loud and talking a mile a minute or blurting stuff out.

Intense

I love e romance, but do not choose books that focus on high school or college main characters. This series blew me away. Gamma and Hendrix have that once in a lifetime connection that can survive anything. I hated how horrible situations kept happening to Gemma, UT it demonstrated how strong she really was. Audra, Mac, Franklin , Pierce and most of all Hendrix pulled her through. Hard to deal with at times, but that is the ugly realities of life. Fascinating and so good. Love and Ruin is a great title, but truly love saved Gemma.

World wind of emotions

Reading each book my emotions was on a rollercoaster. Reading what happen to Gemma and how she over came everything. Meeting Hendrix and how he fell in love and when he got knocked down, he got right back up and fought. Than there is Mac, Gemma roommate and beastie. She was crazy but crazy in a good way! Ada Lynn is a grandmother that everyone needs.

This is a must read series!

How much can one girl/woman take before she breaks? A father she thought loved her becomes a part of the demons she has nightmares about. The woman who loves her almost as much as her mother pushes her to leave her safety net and go out into the wide world and live. Panic attacks and bullying don't help her situation until she meets her new roommate, whose issues help Gemma forget for a while now bad her own are. Then there's Hendrix. From the first day she meets him, she knows there's something special about him. If she can just get past her fears and phobias. It took me a little time to get into the story, but it was worth sticking it out.

What a fantastic trilogy. This story cracked my heart right open. A girl hurt so badly who still has so much goodness and hope inside her. A man who can see all of the shattered pieces of her soul and picks them up one by one. And a shared love of music. Such a beautiful story, such a roller coaster ride. So much emotion. I laughed, I cried, got angry, felt Gemma's pain. I will re-read over and over.

Great Series - Be sure to get the Boxset

Be sure to get the box set because once you start reading book 1 you won't want to stop.

This was my first romance book series and now I am hooked. I couldn't put the book down. I stayed up all night reading then thought about it all day at work! So well written, I feel like I know Gemma and Hendrix and can't wait for more.

A rollercoaster

Mixed bag. The first book was amazing. So sweet. Second book was horrible. Gemmas thinking was so flawed to me. Third book was ok. Some hot sex for sure but kinda over the top sentimentality. Through out it all Hendrix was a top tier male love interest.

Love & Ruin by J.A. Owenby. She has done it again. This book grabbed me from the beginning. Owenby makes you feel like you are there. Gemma a small town girl, heads off to college to escape her painful past, with the help of her best friend Ada Lynn. There she meets her roommate, Mac, who is loud,hyper and is ok with the fact that Gemma hides herself behind hats and glasses. Then there is Hendrix, handsome, a singer, and totally falls for Gemma. But, has heartbreak in his past as well. Will Gemma let him tear down the walls she has built up to protect herself? Is Hendrix too good to be true?

In the continuing story of Gemma. Owenby has a way of telling a story that makes you, the reader feel what the characters are going thru. In this 2nd part of the trilogy, you find out even more of the terrible things that Gemma has had to endure, and just what lengths her friends will go thru to help her. Owenby sheds light on an ugly subject without glamorizing it. You need to read these books, you may cry, ok you will cry. But, read them, people need to know that these things go on in our world.

Love &Redemption J A Owenby....book 3 of the trilogy. Man what a ride!!! I couldn’t read this book fast enough, but at the same time did not want it to end. Gemma & Hendrix have been thru a lot together. Just when you think that Owenby has tossed them more than they can handle, you just wait. Book 3 is so intense and full of twists. I read thru tears and holding my breath to find out what was going to happen next. Gemma really grew into one amazing young lady. Owenby just keeps getting better. Definitely needs to be on everyone’s must read list.
