Everyone wants to meet their soul mate, but what if one of you is already dead? Kiidus is a Jumper, a soul who has remained long after his death by using other people's bodies. The catch? If he doesn't release the person in three days, they die. As a soul, he's made some terrible choices that have cost people their lives. After killing a child, Kiidus decides it's time to start saving the dying instead of killing the living. Saving people who are dying makes him a target for the Shadows. The Shadows are other souls who are supposed to be guiding the dead to their afterlife. Kiidus has plenty of problems with his existence only consisting of the baggage that comes with taking over a person's life and keeping them alive. He does not need to fall in love with someone still living. When Kiidus meets the very much alive Selexah, his choice to keep seeing her makes him an even bigger target for The Shadows, especially after he starts telling Selexah the universe's secrets. Once they're together, Kiidus knows he'll do whatever he has to, to keep her safe, including ruining, or ending, the lives of others. When all of his past choices finally come back to haunt him, Kiidus must choose between staying with Selexah in this life, likely resulting in her death, or trusting the Shadows to save her life, which may mean never seeing her in any life ever again.

If you like sweet romance involving the afterlife, this might be the book for you. Please read the trigger warnings as it does mention mental health issues and death.

Kiidus is a young man 'stuck' in the in-between as a 'jumper' who finds his soul mate, Selexah. The catch is that she's alive and he is not. He is a soul jumper and can only inhabit bodies (holders) for 72 hours. This story follows their love and figuring out how to be together despite existing on two different planes(and how to avoid displeasing the Shadows). Kiidus and Selexah have to come to terms with events that took place in their pasts and learn to move forward while continuing to suffer losses.

I did enjoy following their story and watching the two figure out how to navigate life with one as a living being and the other a soul.

The soul jumping aspect is so interesting and different than anything I’ve read before! How will it be possible to be with the person you love if you can’t stay in a single body for more than 3 days? The chemistry between the characters is top tier! It’s hard to really feel it through reading sometimes but this one hits the mark! I truly felt all the emotions throughout this book. I highly recommend to anyone! You need to experience this book at least once in your life!

This is my first YA paranormal romance debut. I was intrigued from the start and just wanted more of the relationship ot Kiidus, a "Jumper" who inhabits living bodies after death, and Selexah, a human woman grow not knowing if this was even possible.
I felt each emotion anger, fear, sadness,disgust, surprise and joy everything that makes a good book throughout.
Fans of hearttelt, unconventional love stories with supernatural twists will enjoy this fresh take, with strong character chemistry and a world begging for a sequel.

OMG absolutely loved this book!! Imagine spending you life thinking you were in love, or in Selexha's case feeling alone and unloved. Here comes a waiter who sweeps her off her feet, she asks to meet him the next day but the guy who shows up isn't the same one she met. He swears to her he is the same person but that he is called a jumper. She doesn't want to believe him and thinks he's crazy, the more he tells her the more she believes. How crazy would it be if they were soulmates??? One dead one still living???

I love the author’s take on the afterlife and on grief. Soul Jumper is really a beautiful story about love and second chances at life.
It took me a moment to get into the story, but boy when I did I couldn’t put the book down! Wonderful, truly wonderful. Now please don’t mind me I’ll be crying in my corner over this masterpiece 😭😭😭

The storyline itself was just not something that I, personally, found interesting, however- the story is really well written. The story is quite thought provoking and not a light, fluffy read so do go into it knowing that. You will be thinking deeply, pondering the unknowable. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone wanting a book about love, not just romance. It is clear that the relationship in this story is deeper than you find in the usual romance novel.

This book was so deep. A level of understanding that I didn't even realize I was capable of. This book truly captivated me from the beginning. Easy to follow the story line as well, sometimes books like this can be jumpy. However this one was not and I loved the reading style. Shalana you rocked this book!!!!!

He inhabits holders and has to be out of the holders within three days.Otherwise the holder dies for real.... such an interesting concept about what happens?After you pass away....... When he finally finds his soulmate and his love, they have so many obstacles to face. watching them navigate their difficult relationship was so interesting... such a great concept for a book !!!

A world full of wonder and love. The MMC a soul who was young when he was removed from the world. He was mad and hurt at what happened to him. He found the FMC out of pure luck but she was his one true soulmate. Two souls meant for each other no matter alive or gone from the world.

This was a very amazing read from start to finish you find yourself wrapped up not only in the life of Kiddus both also the holders... from there you follow two young lovers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and understanding each other’s worlds

A gorgeous novel. The characters completely suck you in. A wonderful story told through beautiful writing. Thought provoking events and character dialogue. Definitely going to be reread quite often!
