Here, Again

Rate this book
When June Juniper finds a golden ring on a Cedar Key, Florida beach, she slips it on her finger. Inside the ring is the inscription, 'Forever Young', along with the date, 1521. Soon, June begins dreaming about the Calusa Indians, who were native to the area near her island. She also dreams about a man who was their captive for seventeen years, Hernando de Escalante Fontaneda. Hernando was one of the people who first wrote about Ponce de León's fabled search for 'The Fountain of Youth'. Ponce de León was killed by the Calusa in 1521. As odd as the dreams are, they pale in comparison to what happens next. June and her friend, Stella, are singing a song in a Cedar Key bar when, suddenly, June begins to sing in the strange, forgotten language of the Calusa. After the song, she passes out. When she awakens, she can only speak in the ancient language of the natives. That's when June Juniper receives a phone call... a phone call that will change her life, forever, and make her question who she really is...
