Okay, so analytically, this books was mediocre. There wasn't anything too crazy happening, and neither did my perspective on life change in any way. HOWEVER, something about the characters and the writing style had me fall in love with this book. Keanna and Jett had me literally glued to my screen. There were some cheesy lines here, and there. Plot twists were also quite predictable, but overall, I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading this!! Can't wait to read more of Sparling's books <3

Loved the sweet romance in the story.
The characters were very well etched and their conversation was natural. Though the story was predictable in some parts, the cute romance was still enjoyable.

This book doesn't even deserve a star. The writing was terrible; the characters were sensual; and the content was immoral, inappropriate, and disgusting. I can't believe this book is marketed as YA. Didn't finish because I just couldn't take it anymore. I only got in a few chapters and had to put it down because of how disgusted I was with the story.
I do NOT recommend!

Sweet and easy read. Lovely characters, romance and family ties.

Cliffhanger Ending
I should have known this would have a cliffhanger because 187 pages isn’t enough to wrap up some of the topics in this book. Also, I didn’t realize this was a YA book because it was one of those free Amazon books and I wasn’t really paying attention. It obviously caught my attention enough to read the entire book but it’s mostly because I wanted answers to why Keana’s mom, Dawn, would do something so awful. It was explained briefly in the book why Dawn was the way she was but come on, this is your daughter! Obviously because of Dawn leaving her with people she doesn’t know, it completely rocks her already sad world. Most of this book is Keana trying to come to terms with not being wanted while the other is trying to not have feelings for the boy next door, Jett. Jett has everything Keana doesn’t and it irks her but she still falls in love with him. I didn’t really feel the sizzle between these 2 but maybe it’s because reading about a 16-17 year old’s relationship while being in my 30’s is a bit weird. Did I mention I didn’t realize this was a YA book? However, there are other YA reads that I’ve absolutely loved like “ The Fault in our Stars” or “Eleanor & Park” so maybe it’s just this book. Although this book ends with a cliffhanger, it’s almost enough for me to just be done with it. They have a HFN ending and after finding out there are 7 books in this series, yes 7, I don’t think I’m going to bother however I can see teens really liking this. For a free Amazon read, I give this a 3. I don’t love it or hate it but I can’t see myself reading all 7 books either.

Super sweet romance. The seventeen-year-old heroine has had an unsettled and hobo lifestyle dragged around after her young hippy mother. Very little happens beyond the romance - there is no suspense about who is going to fall in love with who, or even what each is thinking about each other as it is a split narrative and we get to see both points of view. But it's cute and warm, the protagonists are endearing, and I enjoyed reading it.

Um... I did not like this book. Short and simple.
Just.... no. I do not reccomend it. I dont like the characters, I dont like the parents, j dont like any of it. Maybe the idea would've been a good one, but there were elements in this book that i debated on putting it away before i even finished.
I found this when searching for clean romance. Uh, no, not really. But I highly believe itll be worse in the next books because in this one, it could've been worse.
I DO NOT recommend this book AT ALL.

It's ok
I loved summer unplugged so I thought I would like this one as well. While the premise is adorable the writing is poor. Missing words, tense, and juvenile writing takes away from the story. I don't know if the writer was going for cranky, salty, and just dense characters but that's how they came off.
I would suggest summer unplugged instead of this book. This one was promising but just fell flat.

This spin off is my favorite from the Unplugged Summer Series. I love being able to keep up with Jett’s parents and “second parents.” Typos exist throughout, as they have in all the books I’ve read by this author. The quality of writing isn’t the same as more well known authors but I think the story is sweet and more developed than Unplugged Summer and The Summer Series. I really like how we get Jett and Leanna’s perspective in this book.

I started reading the sample of the last book in the series... (weird I know) lol but I instantly was intrigued by Jett and Keanna that I had to start from the beginning and I'm glad I did! Such a beautiful heartwarming love story! It made me laugh and cry... I finish it in a day that's how hooked I was. Now on to book two! Ps. I so love Jett!!!

I really enjoyed this book. I thought that the plot line was good and that the characters were fully developed. I thought that some parts of the book were predictable, but it was overall a good read. I will definitely read the rest of the books in this series and I would recommend this book to others.

I enjoyed and liked the book to the core. Why? Because this book has all the elements to be cherished. Be it the attracting front cover or the genre of this story. The tightly woven plot is enough to keep the readers at the edge of their seat. Overall presentation is commendable. Would like to recommend this one. Thank you.

I'm not sure how I feel about this story. The premise is fine, but I have a hard time believing the age of the main characters -- their ages seem incongruent with their actions. That being said, I think Sparling's book is a short, fun read overall.

Oh my gosh I loved this book so much! It was so sweet and innocent in what true love is, it took me back to the moment I felt true love!!! The characters was so well written I loved the fact that it had both point of views in it! That always wins me over!!!

Okay read.
I felt the book was okay but it could have been great. Three were a few mix up in the names, and a few moments when I questioned how some things didn't add up. The romance was simple and predictable which is good especially since I was stressed and I wanted an easy romance.

I found a few grammar and spelling issues, which really bother me. I have mentioned that before. I really like the premise of this book, the plot line is believable. I dont like how quickly the characters tell each other they love them, but I guess it is quite the teenage thing to do.

This series is a really good teen romance read. The whole series is good. I love all the characters of this series and this a companion series for two other series so it is really good would recommend all the books.

Cute story! A girl with a terribly mom basically gets abandoned by her mom, meets Jett, and is the “exception” to his “no girlfriend rule”. Nothing big or dramatic, but cute and a little angsty. A short read, but I look forward to reading the next book!

Cute fast read but probably won't read the rest of the series. I didn't realize it was a spin off of Jetts parents from Unplugged. It is a Motorcross sports read with young teen romance.
