Forever Kind of Love

Rate this book
Anthony Holder is muscle bound, good with his hands, and a little too ruggedly handsome for his own good. So, he must be a fuckboy, right? Wrong. Anthony is a romantic but is constantly pigeonholed as the other because of how he looks. He’s desperate to find “the one,” but it’s looking increasingly unlikely to ever happen. Up and coming actor, Edmund Bass is touted to be the next big thing in Hollywood. He’s fit. He’s funny. He’s single. And, according to the papers, he’s straight and loving his bachelorhood. Of course, this isn’t the case. Edmund is gay but feigns straight in public for his career. His entire life is one big lie after another, and he’s starting to get sick of it. All Edmund wants is to be himself with the man he loves—whoever that might be. At the insistence of his agent, Edmund hires a personal bodyguard, Anthony, to look after him while he works on his new film. Right from the start, there’s friction. Anthony thinks Edmund is a phony and a playboy, where Edmund thinks Anthony is a narcissistic bully. But this is Hollywood, and where there’s friction, there’s often fire. Anthony and Edmund are two lonely men, seemingly different, but with more in common than they realize. They just have to trust one another enough to open up. Then maybe, if they’re lucky, they’ll find love. Please This book contains adult language and steamy adult activities, it is intended for 18+ Adults Only. Novel, approximately 65,000 words in length. HEA (happy ever after ending). Does not end with a "cliffhanger." Themes Love, Hollywood actor, bodyguard, finding love, two lonely people, street fighting

I really enjoyed this book, it was refreshing and different to read of 2 mc’s that are so guarded and awkward. Granted I would have wanted endless “feels of bliss” but this was bitter sweet. I choked up a few times.

Edmund, an actor and Anthony, his bodyguard felt a strong attraction to each other and got romantically involved. Things go a bit awry as Edmund cannot stand up against his manager and Anthony has trust issues. Despite there attraction they break up (ore rather non-break-up, as they were not really together, as Edmund is officially straight). How can they solve their problem? Can Edmund stand up for himself and can Anthony get over his trust issue?
It is very interesting how the story is progressing and can those two find a way to get together again?
I just have a problem on how the whole situation with the German mobster ended. I cannot believe, that a gangster like Klaus will stop going after the person who insulted him just of a threat. I felt that something was missing here. But all in all it was a very good read.

I read a complimentary advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

Edmund is a fucking coward. Has weak personality, has no backbone and the most pitiful part is, he let his agent dictates his life, so pathetic!

This book is about Edmund's struggle to live his life. Being an actor in Hollywood who is gay but have to pretend to be straight and dating a woman are life consuming for him and finally the suffacations have taken its toll on him and he snapped!

Kinda dissapointed about the ending though, need more of them TBH.

Wow!

This one had me clutching my phone as I read through the twists and turns of the romantic journey of Edmund and Anthony! They managed to find love in the midst of Hollywood hi jinx and a German mobster! This was a great read and I will definitely continue reading Jerry Cole titles!
