My world shattered the day my parents didn’t show up to my graduation.
Grieving and lost, I discover my adoption certificate hidden in a drawer, unearthing a secret no one wanted me to know. Needing answers, I move to Arbor Falls to find out who abandoned me over two decades ago.
Instead, I discover a world I never knew existed when I shift into a wolf for the first time. But I’m different from the others, and not everyone can accept that this forgotten wolf is here to stay.
Everyone except my four mates.
The growly alpha who carries the weight of his pack. The lonely omega who loves fiercely. The broken stray who learns to trust again. The rival alpha who would burn down the world to protect what’s his.
With danger lurking in the shadows of the forest, I’m faced with a choice: run with my tail between my legs or become who I was born to be.
*Wolf Forgotten is book 1 in the Arbor Falls series and is a wolf shifter romance told in multiple POVs with multiple mates. It contains MM, mature scenes, and adult language. Series is complete with 4 books
Not a book for me. 36% and i couldn't get over ivy's behavior, Honestly I can't stand H's like her. She had the personality of drift wood, and was pretty dense. Her emotions were pretty much all over the place, and at times over the top and ridiculous. Now I love a feisty female lead character, but ivy came off more annoying then anything, Jaded And overly delusional And I'm not sure why she's like this? But I didn't really care to find out
Couldn't finish it. The heroine was completely unappealing and aggravating. If she wasn't drinking like she had a hollow leg, she was whining and bratty. I like assertive behavior in a heroine who stands up for herself, but this one was mostly just bratty with notes of Too Stupid To Live.
This was a pretty quick read via audio and the story was pretty engaging. Heroine Ivy loses her parents right after graduating college and unfortunately also learns she's been adopted though her parents never spoke of it before. With no one to hold her back and wanting answers she heads to Arbor Falls where she finds a job putting her Environmental Sciences degree to work. One day her entire world shifts and she learns she's a wold shifter and also has mates. Mates are not something wolves in this world actually get so Ivy and her men are so far an enigma and I have a feeling she's still going to grow this harem more so they've seen nothing yet. The end kind of came out of nowhere but I'm just going to dive into the next one so no big deal. The series is also loosely related to the Salinity Cove series that I read a few months back. The heroines are BFF's but there's no crucial story lines or connections that require you to read both. So far so good, can't wait to see who else Ivy finds to add.
Didn't really like the heroine much. Stopped at 11%. Her actions were kinda grating on me, and the writing style didn't really make it worth it to continue anyways.
Woah! Wolf Forgotten was EPIC! I love Maya Nicole’s books, I swear each one gets better and better... but Wolf Forgotten has blown it out of the forest! We first met Ivy in Salinty Cove where she was BFFs with the lovable Riley, to find out that Ivy was getting her own book made me super excited - I never expected to love this book so hard I completely ignored adulting. Mystery, humour & seriously hot wolves kept me turning pages and salivating for more. It’s a bit call but ... Wolf Forgotten is my new favourite Maya book. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Book one in the RH Arbor Falls series, our FMC Ivy finds out not only was she adopted but she is also a wolf shifter. Ouch. Trying to figure out her past and how to be a wolf in a pack. Then she realizes she has multiple true mates... one of which is the enemy. Double ouch. This was not the best RH Shifter romance I have ever read. But it was fun enough, and it was good enough for me to move on to the next book.
You might like this book if you like: RH, Shifters, Enemies to lovers and Human who is not a human.
This story was freaking amazing!!! Wow!!! Loved these characters. Like loved so hard I want them for myself. Ending was kind of a surprise. Plus that cliffhanger. Omg I need book 2 like now!!!! I was like no don’t leave off right there. Maya Nicole books are always so good. I was so happy that Ivy got her own series plus seeing some of the other characters in past books got me all giddy. Definitely recommend this one. Counting down till her next book!!!
Enjoyable overall but was a bit all over the place and it didnt feel like relaxing it felt more like a thriller/mystery movie than a fantasy romance. Probably because there was no real downtime or any breathing room just one thing to the next to the next all within a weeks time once the cat or dog in this situation was out of the bag. It felt a bit idk evil icky nervous energy the entire time and idk i dont like that feeling when im reading an rh moments of it iget for plot reasons but idk it just felt like the unsafe feeling on edge and idk some people may like that and if im watching a comedy action movie or more chill adventure thriller like indiana jones or something than yeah i dont mind it but idk it felt like too much for this book i feel like the first book usually eases you in and slowly ramps up but this was like constantly being thrown off balance and yeah i wish it allowed rh romance character development instead of constant threats and new questions without answering anything... and the imprisoned trapped suffocating feeling of the whole you cant leave here or have free will sorta deal made me stir crazy like i had cabin fever and like that is not what i want when in a rh romance or anybook when im diving into another world to escape from the real one for even a while. So yeah hopefully thatll be sorted out and its not gonna be the tone for the series cause if so i dont think my anxiety will be able to handle it.
This made me so hostile because the plot had everything to make it incredible but the immaturity of both leads as well as supporting characters was infuriating. I couldn’t stand the dialogue any longer, it was like reading about pre-pubescent children in adult bodies going to school and exploring ‘dating’ for the first time. “I hate him, he’s infuriating I’m going to leave. But then I must have zoned out because before I knew it he was touching my collar bone and I couldn’t get a read on him. I needed a drink. I shouldn’t drink. Better have half a bottle. Oopsies now I need an Uber. Oh? He’s got me in his car, that was sweet. Don’t look at me, ugh. He’s infuriating”.
Ok, I read the reviews and I can definitely see what others were talking about with in ref to the authors poor writing skills in this book however, I enjoyed most of the story.
It has good bones, as my grandad would have said.
I am not sure I like the fmc. Just something about her, irks me. But I do love the story.
I liked this book enough that I am going to read book two.
Also, I have it three stars instead of two because of the use of cum vs come. Good job on that.
Wolf Forgotten. This was an amazing novel, I could not put it down and automatically. went for the next book in the series, only to find it’s due out in a few days Certainly, a shifter storyline but being approached from an angle not really approached before, so you are waiting to find out the facts and history behind the “Forgotten Wolf” only to realise you have to keep reading, surely the answer should be just around the corner yeh?? ( maybe ) Ivy who knew absolutely nothing about shifters suddenly finds herself knee deep in them so for someone who has previously stayed very much in the background with little to no involvement with the male species shifter or human, she finds herself drawn to them and as such, she is exploring a side of her personality she never knew existed. This leaves the door open for so many different possibilities. Being part of an mythical species is certainly difficult but when it’s not even in your language to say her eyes were opened into the world of the paranormal with no warning causes her head to go a little loopy, she does everything she can to learn about her new world without trying to cause to much drama. For Ivy that is rather difficult because she attracts trouble no matter what she does. A superbly constructed plot with plenty of fast paced action and never ending dramatic twists to Ivy’s daily lifestyle with different shifters being drawn to this strong determined woman who will not be controlled by anyone. As much as this is a challenge to a number of the pack I do believe they have their hands full with Ivy. Lol When living under a specific heighrachy and refuse to follow protocol you are easily the reason why a great deal of frustration, frayed nerves and conflict occurs around Ivy and the other pack. This novel finds you trying to see where this is all leading, but this author has tied all loose ends up Beautifully so yep!! We are kept guessing. If you enjoy reading books that are outside of the norm then you are going too love this and will find yourself as confused as the central character Ivy. I am now waiting with baited breath for the next book in this amazing series.
Amazing Cannot wait to find out what happens next - I love all the characters, the story leaves you with so many questions def a must read and cannot wait to find out what happens next!!
3.5 ⭐ Interesting story, and love the Multi-POV. PNR/UF shifter RH with fated mates, slow-build relationship, med/fast burn to the heat, and mystery and twists; some interesting, others I found predictable but still enjoyed. Ended on a cliffhanger, which honestly I'm not all that mad at 🙈😅
The FMC, Ivy, has her life turned upside down in more ways than one. She was looking for answers but can she handle what she finds? 🐺🐺🐺🐺
For the most part I liked Ivy. She's 26 and a bit more established in her life. She's sassy, snarky, got no time for BS, and isn't afraid to challenge domineering men. She also has insecurities, allows herself to cry even if she hates doing it in front of others, and she shows compassion for others. When she sasses her men, it's just enough to taunt with playfulness and not so much to have me rolling my eyes. Is she a badass? 🤷♀️ She's certainly not a doormat, but she's also a lot of talk and little delivery in that department. She could have more skills that haven't been showcased yet. But I look for more out of my FMCs than complaining about how they're a grown ass woman who can take care of themselves. More show, less tell. Also, being a strong FMC doesn't mean doing everything yourself. It's only the first book, so she's still just starting her journey. She's definitely brave and with a lot of heart and I would love to see her kicking some ass as well as working smartly with others in the next book.
The story has fated mates but set up in a way where each relationship will establish and build in a different way and the guys are each distinguishable, bringing something different to the relationship. There's no rejection angst, which while I enjoy sometimes, it's nice to get a break from. Two of the guys get more page time in this book as they are around Ivy more during this part of her story - Cole, the dominant alpha, and Eli, the sweet omega who wants to take care of everyone - and they're best friends and awfully cute together. This series is planned to have MM in it. I don't think it'll be these two, but I would not say no to that 🔥🔥 As much as Ivy complained about Cole being an asshole, and he certainly was bossy and alpha, I found him to be quite reasonable and really liked that he isn't too prideful to apologize. Having their POVs in addition to Ivy's was great, but I was still wanting a bit more depth to these characters, to really feel their layers and connection with them. To experience their traits and mannerisms, not just state them, which can come across kind of flat.
I'm super intrigued by the two guys we don't know much about yet..... Especially a certain blonde biker from Cole's past.
**I received an ARC of this novel and am thrilled to share my honest review**
Wow. Just wow! So if you have read the Salinity Cove series you already know a bit about Ivy, if you haven’t go read it now! It is amazing! (You don’t need to have read it first to understand what happens in this book, it just makes the story that much better.) Well now Ivy is all grown up, graduated from college, and ready to start her adult life. After finding out she was adopted she packs up and moves to the small town she were believes her birth parents are from, with the hopes of finding out more about them. She doesn’t find out much about them, but she does find a few mates, oh and that she is a WOLF shifter!! With more questions than answers Ivy is starting to get the hang of being a wolf all while surprise after surprise are thrown at her, and not all of them good. This was a very fast paced book and a medium to fast burn. Don’t let the fast burn scare you off though it completely makes sense in the story and with the ages of the MCs. WARNING: Major cliffhanger! Seriously if you hate cliffhangers wait to read until the next book has been released! This one will give you a huge book hanger over and some seriously sexy dreams. The author has really outdone herself with this one, it is seriously perfect!
Spoilers: . . . . .
My thought on the guys: Cole I kind of want to smack in the back of the head seriously dude you are your own worst enemy at times. Eli: omg excuse me while I fan girl over how sweet he is! Letting his sister be a higher rank than him, how amazing is that. I’m super excited that he stands up to Cole when needed and isn’t just a door mat for him. Xander: we don’t know exactly what has happened to him but it sounds so awful and I really need to know his backstory! Silas: He really is giving me all the amazing bad boy vibes and calling her bunny oh lord that is amazing! And finally I’m completely shipping Eli and Xander as thing as well! I really hope it happens!

I have been waiting for this book to come out since I finished the last series Maya wrote. The name of the town holds a very special place in my heart as I suggested it many months ago and she chose it!!!! I think it describes the town perfectly. I have loved every single book I have read of Mayas and this one did not disappoint. I loved Ivy in the Salinity Cove series and I love her even more now that she is coming into her own. She had no idea how her life was going to change when she moved to the little town Arbor Falls, and then even more when Cole shows up at her place of employment..I love shifters and this story is so unique. She never knew that she was "other" She knew that there were supernatural beings as her best friend is one but she never expected it to happen to her. Then her men,,, Cole is all Alpha, Eli is an Omega and so sweet however I love his little shows of possessiveness for sure and then the surprise. I wont spoil it but I love that Maya keeps us on our toes. I cant wait to figure out what is going on with the rival pack and with the sick wolf that shows up on their land. That cliffy though. That was brutal, I should of known but man oh man that was such a twist of the story...You guys have to read this. I cannot wait for the next one...I need it STAT
Something I liked about this book was that the set up was done in the prologue instead of stretching it into multiple chapters. Basically: Ivy learns at her graduation that her parents were in a car crash and died, and that she was adopted after being abandoned in a bush.
After moving back to the town where she was abandoned she meets a group of men and begins to learn secrets of her past.
Including she can turn into a wolf. And she has mates - which is unheard-of as mates don’t exist and multiple mates definitely don’t.
I didn’t love Cole’s pack - the traditional hierarchy and teachings put women beneath men and use an omega wolf (one of Ivy’s mates, Eli) as a whipping boy. But the split between Cole’s pack (East Arbor Pack) and his former best friend Silas’ West Arbor Pack was an interesting set up, though
I do think the first book was the best of the series - I’m writing this review after I finished all 4.
I have mixed feelings about this book so I'll give it a middle of the road rating. Ivy just finished her master's program. Soon after her parents die and she learns she was adopted. She moves to the town where she was found as a baby to get answers. The answers she finds only lead to more questions.
I liked that Ivy is strong, but sometimes that turned into stubbornness which was annoying. So far, the characters lack depth, and some pacing is off. Soon after her first shift, Ivy almost refuses that she is now a wolf shifter, but a few a chapters later when she learns she has two mates accepts it almost instantly. I can't say I know enough about any of the MMCs so I'll reserve judgement there. A plus for this book: multiple POVs. So far the pack dynamics aren't my favorite, but I have a feeling Ivy will be changing that.
I was drawn into the story rather quickly and am intrigued enough to continue onto the next book.
I’m pretty ashamed to say that this is the first time I’ve read this author, and I honestly have no idea why. I’ve been craving wolf shifters and nothing was hitting the mark. Until this bad boy.
I love a bit of mystery thrown in with all the chaos. 26 years of not knowing who she was, and now all the mates are popping up, but so much is happening everywhere. It’s all going on.
Ivy is a girl crush just waiting to happen. She’s quick witted and strong willed, ready to bring all the Alpha’s to their knees. I’m on board with that plan. Bring down the outdated hierarchy and create some new and equal 🙌🏼 I really do love how strong she is and how different all her mates are. They’ll all bring something different to the table and I can’t wait to find out what.
This is the start of a new paranormal reverse harem series by Maya Nicole. Whilst we first met the main character Ivy in the Salinity Cove series, this is a stand-alone series.
The Arbor Falls series centres around Ivy, who has graduated from college, moved to a new town for a new job and to learn more about herself. As this is a reverse harem, there will be multiple love interests in a committed relationship with her. In this book, we have met many of the suitors and the ground work to the relationship has started to be formed. The characters are likeable, especially Ivy, who is no shrinking violet. It’s a page turner, as I read this book in one sitting, and the cliffhanger is cushioned by the knowledge that Book 2 is not too far away. I look forward to the rest of the series and reading about these characters and their world.
Thank you to Maya Nicole for giving me a complimentary ARC. I’m voluntarily reviewing an ARC and all opinions expressed in this review are unbiased and my own.
I am absolutely hooked on this series. I love the character development. The mystery of the plot and Ivy's background is captivating. All 4 Mates (Silas is my favorite!) are individually fascinating and unique. And that cliffhanger... damn! Even knowing the details of what happens to Ivy, I still want Silas to burn it all down. He can do no wrong.
Ivy finds out she has been adopted , and decides to try to learn more about her origins. She finds more than she bargained for. I really liked how she challenged Cole, and the system/hierarchy of the Wolves. Eli is sweet, and I’m looking forward to learning more about the others. The story does end on a cliffhanger, so hopefully book 2 is out soon!
Maya you have really done it this time. Each book you write just gets better and better.
This book has Ivy from Salinity Cove, Riley's best friend. Its been a few years since those events. Life is going good for Ivy until graduation day. He parents are killed in a freak car crash. A few days later while cleaning out and preparing for everything, she finds she is adopted. She was abandoned in a small town named Arbor Falls. She moves there and gets a job and tries to find out about her past.
One day a new guy named Cole finds her at a bar. Its instant attraction, but Cole is a bit of an alphahole. It leaves Ivy with a bad taste in her mouth. Things get interesting and evolve from there.
This book is steamy, and filled with lots of mysteries. I am anxiously awaiting book 2. Keep writing.
I really liked the take on werewolves in this book. The storyline was great, flowed easily and held my attention. I had problems connecting with some of the characters particularly Cole but he kind of grew on me towards the end. I will definitely be reading the next book.
