Wild Mars #1

Wild Alpha

Rate this book
I’m running away.

Away from my indentured servitude contract, away from the abuse, away from a life trapped inside a tiny bubble, just waiting for something to go wrong. I have just enough oxygen in my tank to get to the next city, the next bastion of safety that protects us normal humans from the Martian atmosphere.

I have to cross Alpha territory to get there.

There is only one problem.

Alphas love to chase women who run.

This is an adult oriented novel with graphic violence, unusual romantic encounters, and the heightened risk of serious adult situations. This is written for those who like alpha omega romance, but it is a little different than what is expected. It has steamy scenes and MFM situations. Enjoy!

I'm just a lady with a foul mouth who really likes writing titillating stories about characters who go through experiences we don't have here on earth.

I like tea.

Yoga is life, meditation is therapy, and a birdfeeder right outside the window is the meaning to life, the universe, and everything.

This was an okay read, but I’m not in a hurry to continue reading the rest of the series. It is a stand alone, so I don’t really have to.

A quick reading story that sizzles! I enjoyed reading this novella for many reasons. The plot was fresh and the characters are highly engageable, they were like people you would enjoy being around. There was some tension and Olivia was kind of thrust blind into a situation. I have to say that the hot scenes were crazy hot, I kind of want to go to Mars to be tested myself! It took me just over an hour to read this, it was fantastic, you should read it too, it's just kind of a light-hearted romp through locking down the love she wanted. Cool story!

All I have looping in my head is, what have I just read. The world build is seriously missing, some of the words used are very out dated. I was following this story until she changed into an omega. I'm not sure where this book was going but..... Pick an era and stick to it. Fantasy doesn't mean chuck anything into it. A washer dryer in the middle of nowhere....??

Short (silly) story of omegaverse. Unlike any other omegaverse story out there, this one was based on consent and a place where the lust (mating pull) was not riding high the story's universe plot. Well, the caveman/woman-ish pull was there, but the heart was still being the centrepiece. The idea of omegaverse was not demeaning the role of omega, where alpha could bulldozing him/herself into omega's life, but more omega could choose his/her One (or should I say One-s?!). Just think like instalove on steroid minus stalker-ish attitude and dubcon. Or romantic game without actually dating game or wish-washy drama.
description

So I did say that this story was silly. Well, even the author on the after note admit that there was indeed some well-infused silliness on some part of the story. Yet, I enjoy it thoroughly. The book was well written and thorough for a new-world-building. The world, the species, and even relationship between MCs and the surrounding was told to us bits by bits and building the suspense, but still kept the essential information intact; for us to better understanding the whole concept. A good read for omegaverse, I supposed.

I liked it until around 40%

I liked the world building and the characters at first. I like how the air is what decides everything and just the whole aspect of how the author built the hierarchy. But then maybe 40-50% it felt like it was written by a different person. There were continuity and time lapse issues: something that happened a few hours ago now was a day or two before. When her former owner tracks her down, he's not wearing a helmet. Maybe this was explained before, but I don't remember it.

She left because a random girl said Kyle was waiting for her to turn 18 and they would get married. She immediately thinks he's grooming her & is a predator, so instead of asking the person who you just met, but so far hasn't lied to you and kept his word, you believe someone who you acknowledge has bully vibes. Then when you tell the next alpha you meet & he says that doesn't sound like him, you don't turn around and go back to Kyle and ask for an explanation, you leave with him. So you trust everyone but your mate. Then she never mentions it to Kyle; they meet up again, run into the Mars resistant Victor, but never mentions what happened to make her run away. I read more, but couldn't after it got too over the top for me.

Another fun add to the world of Omegaverse

I like that this was set in Mars. It's a fun thought that kinda like in the Quarantine series by Lizzy Bequin, just breathing the air will change you into an Alpha, beta, or omega. I'm this series, the "untested" live in bubbled domes and tell the people trumped up stories about the alphas in the forests outside the domes to scare them. In reality, they try to kill the alphas and omegas or kidnap them for breeding purposes since their kind live longer.

Claire is an untested on the run from indentured servitude when an Alphas comes to her help just before she runs out of air. Kyle stays with her through her change and shows her that alphas are not the monsters that she has been lead to believe. Soon he starts to show her what it really means to live after being denied a life for so long. But will get past come back to claim her? Will the new pack she found be strong enough to fight for a new future that they are are wishing for? It's a fun additional to your omegaverse shelf.

This was well-written book 1 in the Wild Mars Series was intriguing as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced and will keep you engaged from start to finish. I will be on the lookout for books by this author.

This was a very interesting twist on the Omega story. One I enjoyed and look forward to reading more of, in the future. The connections between Mars, the domed cities and the alpha/ beta/ omega dynamics were a fresh take.

It had the loveliness of the Omegaverse tropes, with trust, respect and romance. The characters and world were well developed, and steamy connections. Definitely what I look for in a book, let alone a romance!

I think fans of both Omegaverse and Omegaverse-light would enjoy this book!

Sci-Fi Done Right

I must say if more sci-fi was done like this, I'd read a hell of a lot more. The twist of what is an alpha and an omega is genius. Yes, the omega is physically weaker and all but in the end it is she who is dominant in control of herself, especially her sexuality. The fact that the men are assertive and stunning doesn't hurt my feelings at all. You are a great author and have an innovative, broad imagination. I really look forward to seeing more of your work and stories like these because I'll get every damn one of them.

It’s seldom that a book surprises me anymore, but I have to say that when Claire marked Kyle, I was absolutely shocked. I’ve also got to say I cringed...a lot. Jake’s terror when it came time for him to be marked by Claire, not knowing what was going to happen, was also funny, considering he was a big, bad alpha and all. Seeing this tiny woman bring two alpha males to heel was a change of pace from the norm for Alpha/Omega books, and it was more than welcome. It is definitely nice to see a woman taking her power back in a romance book of any kind these days. A great start for this series.

The story is interesting and I was curious to know what would happen next, however, something shook me off me from reading. The author uses one-sentence paragraphs a lot and after two chapters it became kinda distracting.

Like this.
Many times.
In almost every couple of pages.

I do understand that this is used for emphasis, but not if overused. :(
I'd love to revisit the story later, maybe this won't bother me so much.

Oh, how the tables did turn!

I love Omegaverse stories and this was a great one. I love that while the alphas may be strong and dominant, they are not alphaholes. They may try really hard to convince the Omega to pick them, but in the end it is her decision. Boy of boy, is it her choice! I laughed so hard at Jake! There does need to be some more editing done to catch a few mistakes, but they do not affect the total enjoyment of the story. Can't wait to read the next!

Omega

Claire is on the run and only has enough air in her tank to make it to the mafia territory. She refuses to be a slave anymore. She knows there is as much danger in the forest she is running through as the place she is running from. Alpha wolves roam and claim the land. She only has heard horror stories about women being caught and either turned into sex slaves or killed. So what happens if she is caught or taken by one? Read on to find out.

Interesting World Building

This done in one Kindle unlimited quick read takes a slightly different spin on why humans need domed/glass cities to live in on another planet.

Claire is on the run from a bad situation when things go wrong. It's anyone's guess, in the moment, whether it is good luck or bad the Kyle happens upon her and... rescues her?

A slightly different take on the Alpha / Omega dynamic that I think you will enjoy.
New concept of what Planet Plan B might be - terraformed Mars

The Author had a wicked sense of humor, the omega biting her alpha’s **** to claim him. Jake’s reaction is funny and I found myself laughing as well.

Good job on this one.

Unexpected fun

This story is well written and doesn't just follow the same old shifter formula some aithors use.
The wolf point of view is much more interesting and the humour helps keep you reading until the very end

Loved the concept and I think it would make sense for you if you did one for Venus! I just want you to write more books. It must be fun with all the branching out you set up. Please keep up the excellent work. Greater details would be fun.

Like the story but too many grammar/spelling errors

It almost looks like the author just dictated the story and didn’t proofread it. There were several places that I actually had no clue what she was saying. I really like the twist on the traditional alpha/omega story.

Very good!

Claire wanted to run from her "owners", one of which was going to take her. She is found by Alpha Kyle. Kyle helps her through her transformation and she runs. She encounters Jake, another Alpha. She now has two to deal with. Different, it really good.

Not my favorite

I love the concepts in this book. However, it’s missing out on a lot of important detail and expanding on scenes. Everything happens so fast, nothing is dark, or Romantic. If your looking for a true Alpha and Omega story this probably isn’t the one for you.

🤩 Amazing

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I think having Mars as a setting for a shifter series is unique and awesome 👏🏻 to say the least. The book is a perfect combo of hot sex and action A+++

Encore une fois

C'est sympa à lire comme histoire mais extrêmement mal traduit. Vraiment dommage, j'aurais ajouté des étoiles volontiers. Je penses que c'est du gâchis dans ce genre de cas.
