Terri E. Laine, USA Today bestselling author, left a lucrative career as a CPA to pursue her love for writing. Outside of her roles as a wife and mother of three, she’s always been a dreamer and as such became an avid reader at a young age.
Many years later, she got a crazy idea to write a novel and set out to try to publish it. With over a dozen titles published under various pen names, the rest is history. Her journey has been a blessing, and a dream realized. She looks forward to many more memories to come.
Kingdom fall is not standalone. Book one is Kingdom Come. Kingdom fall is a masterpiece. My concern was I didn't think this book would top Kalen and Bailey. What I fell in love with that Striker and Liz did top them and so much more then what I expected.
Kingdom fall is a page-turner. Chapter one starts where book one ended. Full of suspense, and drama, it took its a hold of me and sucked me in. The wit and banter between Striker and Liz is still there. Now we see more vulnerability between the two; it’s raw and passionate. Liz makes Striker work to be back her life, and I couldn’t help but root for him. We finally have answers to what happened to him and Liz in the past and so heartbreaking. The chemistry between the two is scorching hot. If you thought in Kingdom Come, it was hot; Wait till you read Kingdom Fall; it will surpass that.
Terrie E. Laine did a phenomenal job wiring this series; what a surprise at the end. Now we have to wait for King Me to see what happens next with the King Family.
I received an arc in exchange for my honest review.
***updated review & rating after reading the final version of the book***
After the jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end of Kingdom Come, I was impatiently waiting for Terri E Laine to give us the final story and conclusion to the Kingdom Come duet. I loved the two protagonists Connor and Lizzy beyond words and desperately wanted them to find their well deserved HEA. As expected, their journey in Kingdom Fall was full of challenging ups and downs. Both had serious issues to deal with, especially when it came to trust. Connor was a sexy, dominant billionaire who always needed to be in control, while Lizzy, an art gallery owner, couldn't be more independent and strong willed. Despite their different personalities, their sexual chemistry was undeniable and palpable on every page. It took a lot of compromises on both sides for their relationship to work. But once they confessed their pasts and opened up to each other fully, everything clicked into place.
Lizzy was Connor's light and hope in a world full of darkness. She never judged him and accepted him exactly the way he was. I loved that she brought out the caring, protective and possessive side of him. He was her hero, her safe place. Someone she was always looking for. There was a special connection between them that the author managed to show and put into words perfectly. I loved their romantic, sweet scenes and long conversations, as much as their scorching, passionate encounters. I'm so grateful they both got the epic love story they deserved!
A lot of things happend in Kingdom Fall, both expected and unexpected, that made my heart race and my head spin. The level of angst was huge! The plot twists were coming, one after the other, making this fast paced story a great mixture of suspenseful, sexy and highly entertaining. Kudos to the amazingly talented Terri E Laine for writing such an incredible story and ending this mind-blowing duet on such a high note!
I'm really sad to say goodbye to Lizzy and Connor. They are one of my top favorite couples ever written! Now please do yourself a favor and one-click this beauty now. I promise you won't regret it. I'm giving this unputdownable page turner 5 well deserved stars and putting it straight on my top favorite reads shelf of 2020!
*updated review and rating after reading the final version of the book*
Kingdom Fall is the highly anticipated conclusion to the sexy and utterly addictive Kingdom Come duet by Terri E. Laine. I was left with my jaw on the floor and a massive book hangover after the huge cliffhanger at the end of book one. I simply couldn't wait to find out how this intriguing story continues. And boy did this amazingly talented and versatile author take us on an exhilarating and unforgettable rollercoaster ride. The plot was suspenseful and fast-paced with mind boggling twists and turns that gave me all the James Bond vibes. Everything was happening so fast and the scenery was constantly changing which made it sometimes difficult to keep up but kept things interesting and fresh. I won't go into detail about it because I don't want to spoil the book for you. Rest assured, that Terri did this amazing power couple justice and will leave you fully satisfied.
The relationship between the two protagonists was truly well developed in this installment. It was important for me as an avid romance reader to see that there wasn't only a strong physical attraction between Lizzy and Connor/Striker but also a profound emotional connection. I loved the deep and meaningful dialogue between them where they bared their souls to each other and opened up about the demons from their past. I adore these charming, complex and multi-layered characters with all my heart and have thoroughly enjoyed their banter and the constant push and pull between them. Lizzy and Connor are two strong, dominant personalities who clashed at times but were able to make their relationship work despite their differences and trust issues. They accepted each other with all their faults and flaws because they knew that they have finally found their missing piece. The one person who gives them hope and makes them see beauty and light in a world full of ugly and darkness.
Thank you Terri E. Laine for another wonderful and entertaining must read! I've devoured this fantastic duet and recommend it wholeheartedly to lovers of strong, smart and feisty heroines and brooding, protective and possesive heroes. And if you prefer your stories to be on the steamier side then these great books are going to be right up your alley. I'm giving Kingdom Fall 5 stars and putting it on my top favorite reads of 2020 shelf.
Loved it. Could not stop reading. The stakes could not be any higher and the angst was at an all-time high. Kingdom Fall by Terri E. Laine is the conclusion to the Kingdom Come duet and I loved it. We pick up right where we left off in Kingdom Come and right from the start, we are takin on a wild ride. Connor is determined to save Lizzy at all costs, but she wants nothing to do with him. And yet, they cannot deny the intense chemistry and connection they have. Can they learn to trust each other before it’s too late?
I loved the Kingdom Come duet and highly recommend it. A sexy, steamy and suspenseful must-read!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!
Holy smokes! What a story!!! If I thought I loved Kalen, well step aside because his brother Striker/Connor just had me swooning throughout and I never thought I would say that. Part two of this duet picks up right where the other left off. Lizzy and Connor's story is super sexy and full of suspense with twists that blew me away. At every turn Connor has a new side to him and each one surprised me more than the other. He can be dark, mysterious, full of surprises, sweet, and romantic. Lizzy and Connor both have scars and trust issues from their pasts that we learn all about in this book. Their journey wasn't easy, but their love was strong, beautiful and worth fighting for. I was so happy to read the surprise ending - YAY - give me more please ASAP!
recensione "a cura del blog Libri magnetici" by Meghan
«Fidati di me.

"The dominator and the sarcastic blonde. Oh, what a pair we made."
Here is the meaning of this second chapter of the story between Connor and Elizabeth, no longer Striker and Lizzy. I confess that I did not know what to expect after thecliffanghere of the first book: but the reality is that Terri E. Laine managed to deftly mix a romance with a yellow with an erotic-BDSM: and the result is a book that will not disappoint you. The story unfolds at speed, from Elizabeth's abduction to the final epilogue, but never weighing down the reading or boring. On the contrary: the speed of events is compensated by the calm with which the two protagonists, by a physical and passionate attraction, arrive not only to admit to love each other but above all to share a past of pain that they are still discounting. Both realize that only the other can understand what they have suffered and why that pain has failed to stay in the past and condition their whole life, having made Elizabeth a superficial faux about casual sex and Connor a dominator but unable to sleep in a bed like any person. Their assiduous search through physical union is a continual re-putting the pieces together, in the hidden hope that their marriage, made to protect Elizabeth, is not just "short of fairytale", as Connor calls it. Elizabeth is the fundamental character of this second chapter: she is no longer the New York fashionista in search of adventures in the slums, but a strong woman determined to fight the demons of Connor's past, on the one hand, and those of their present on the other (LOL when she knocks on impact both to Connor's mother and to his first Sub.).
"I shouldn’t want, shouldn’t need him. Yet my body burned for him, my thoughts yearned for him, and my heart ached for him."
His is a complete gift, even to that side of Connor more Striker that he does not understand but that accepts because not only loves him for real, but also because he knows that his control frees him from demons.
"Trust me. Trust us."
Dear magnetics, this review of mine ma seem at times airtight, but it is an express desire of the author for us readers and I, who have the honor of reading it in preview and for Italy, I hope I have done my best.

If you read Kingdom Come, then why are you here now reading this review! Go! Go oneclick Kingdom Fall, there is no reason to wait any longer because that cliffy was killer!! Now for the review. Kingdom Fall picks up right where book 1 left off and sprints into the story. Honestly, you need to hold on tight because this book is fast paced. With danger lurking behind Lizzy and Striker they stay on the move while they figure out exactly what the threat is. I really loved this sequel. you get to learn a lot more about Lizzy and Striker’s pasts, their demons are brought to the light and due to this there is a lot more understanding between them. They both have darkness in themselves and need the other to stay in the light. Overall the book was great! I am going to knock it a half star because I felt like there could have been more explained regarding the danger chasing them. It was never super clear, at least to me, if the danger and the people after them where because of something tied to Bailey, Lizzy’s brother Matt or striker himself. I would have loved to see more explanation, instead what we got was kinda glossed over and fixed rather easily. This did not take away from the story as a whole though, I just think it could have added a lot more depth to what these two were going through and why. I was really invested in the characters and with just enough of Bailey and Kalen sprinkled throughout I really want to go back and read their story as well. I’m invested into the King Brothers and so you bet I will be first in line to read what comes next! -Mackenzie Bibliophile
Book 2 in the Kingdom Come duet sees the conclusion of Lizzy and Striker’s story, and oh what a conclusion. Following all the dramatics in book 1, Lizzy and Striker continue their push me/pull me game, both resorting to drastic measures to try and forget each other, but no matter how hard they try, they are brought together by a common goal. Saving the lives of each other and those they love. Exciting, addictive, and oh so sexy, add in the drama and the suspense, oh and that chemistry. Between the sexy alpha male, and the stubborn girl he wants to tame, you have pure unadulterated sin. Now we’ve just got to see if, amongst everything else, they can learn to trust each other and find their common ground. I absolutely loved it. A truly wonderful duet. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
Gaahh! I love Connor, aka Striker, and Lizzy!!! Their story continues as fast-paced as the first part, Kingdom Come, ended. Again there were moments when my heart almost stopped beating. This story has so many twists and turns that my head was spinning like a hamster on its wheel. Thank goodness, Ms Laine never lost sight of the endgame and the overview and tied up all loose ends in this suspenseful, gripping and sizzling hot story. Well, at least almost all loose ends .... Now I have to wait (more or less patiently) for Grant’s story to see where that cliffy leads to ...
If you haven't read Kingdom Come, stop now and go do that. This book is not a standalone. After that cliffhanger I was itching to read more about Connor and Liz. Their journey to their HEA was a rough one but I will say, reading this was well worth it.
What a page turner!! Suspenseful with edge of your seat action that keeps you on your toes right till the end. Another story I devoured in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. Connor and Lizzy are two complex characters that you watch continue to grow and adapt. Their story needs to be on your must read list. If you haven’t read Kingdom Come then get on it because you need to read that first.
Again Terri has nailed with this story Kingdom Fall! Again the banta and chemistry was off the charts, there was heart stopping moments and suspense with this story! Can Lizzy & Connor aka Striker make it through to the other side? Looking forward to King Me!
Ahhh!!! Connor and Lizzy are everything. He's the complete alpha male and she's the hard headed bada** female. After things went south in the first book (Kingdom Come), Connor must work to solidify his relationship with Lizzy and (sunrise surprise) she makes him work for it. So many things go on in this book but Terri has done a beautiful job in capturing these two characters.
Holy mind spinning conclusion to this couple! There are so many twists and turns and bombs dropped for Connor and Lizzy that I had no idea who was coming or going. Laine created such a depth with the topsy turvy moments in this book that I found myself devouring each word and I could not put it down. There is such a passion between both of these two that it melts your heart and breaks it at times. Them each trying to understand the other. My heart ached. Lizzy was trying too hard to understand why Connor was the way he was to him trying to understand why Lizzy wants him. The moments with the intrigue and suspense was perfectly played out and I loved the concept behind this series. Overall, this was an amazing book. Great character build and growth, amazing storyline and concept that will keep you on your toes and such sizzling passion that you will be fanning yourself. It was just a perfect combination and I am dying to know more about the Kings.
Kingdom Fall picks up right where Kingdom Come ended.
The second part of Connor and Lizzy’s story was extremely intense at moments. Connor’s need to keep Lizzy safe from whoever was trying to harm her and the emotional ups and downs they shared kept my heart racing throughout most of the book.
Their physical chemistry was clear from the prologue with a buildup of their emotional connections in Kingdom Come however in Kingdom Fall they were hurricane level intensity. Lizzy and Connor shared a lot with each other both in a physical sense and emotional level that brought them much closer together. The insanity that was taking place outside of the 2 of them always seemed to be waiting in the shadows to knock them back 4 steps for every step they took forward.
Suspense, feels, sarcasm, witty banter and a delicious amount of steam has made me completely addicted to the King world and I’m looking forward to more.
This is the conclusion to Connor and Izzy's story that started in Kingdom Come and cannot be read as a standalone. This one picks up where Kingdom Come leaves off and immediately hits the ground running and doesn't stop until the very end of the book. My love for these two grows stronger with this book - they journey that they take, they pain that they both endured in the past and their trust in each other to share that pain with each other. Loved their journey so hard. I felt that the end was a little anticlimactic with all that Connor had been planning and it was never really revealed who they were running from but I still really enjoyed this duet. Would highly recommend it to those that love a hot and steamy suspense duet.
Kingdom Fall is the second book in the Striker Lizzy story.
After I finished ready the first book, I couldn’t wait for the second book especially after that cliffhanger.
Omg this book has it all the adventure the thrill the chemistry and of course the sex. It’s absolutely amazing.
Striker is a troubled younger King son who doesn’t want anything to do with his family and their business. Lizzy on the other hand adores her family but due to her troubled past hates to date rich men.
Well in this second book they both learn about each other and embrace their marriage. It’s like two broken souls are mending each other.
The journey to escape the bad people is exciting and keeps you on pins and needles the entire time.
Kingdom Fall is the riveting conclusion to Kingdom Come. Must read in order, as this picks up right where it was left off. I was so excited when this hit my kindle, I needed to find out what was going to happen, between this secretly married couple Lizzy and Striker. It was fast paced, drama filled, steamy, and the twists and turns kept me guessing. I liked that we get to revisit the characters from the King Maker Series too. Looking forward to reading Liam's story next the King's are coming out of the woodwork now.
wow. What a duet! The first in the duet was addictive, and totally hooked me. This one? It dove into the darkness, bringing the characters’ demons to light, and danger the faced was mysterious and overwhelming! It made them rely upon each other, despite the issues they had with each other. I really liked the development of the D/s relationship, and how they discovered how this fit into their lives. This character development was challenging, and yet, it smoothly revealed the flaws they found, and how they got past them.
Kingdom Come (the first book) and Kingdom Fall fell into my lap on accident. Normally I'm a mushy bushy romance reader! But, I loved 50 shades of grey and this caught my attention! I hadn't paid attention to the fact that it was a diet or I would have given myself more time to read both in a day because I hate cliffhangers, but regardless I finished it the next morning. I love how confident Lizzy is in her body and sexuality! Unloved that she knows herself enough to trust her instinct. I loved strikers character and his willingness to be open and honest with Lizzy!!!
So this is a wrap in the two book story of Striker, aka Mr. Black aka Connor and Lizzy. However it did not answer all questions example... Who was Matt undercover for? Who vandalized Lizzies apartment? Who was after them that they has to go All over the world to hide? Is Connor Royces son or not? Who is this Liam dude and how is he Conner and Kalens brother? So to sum it up yes this is the conclusion but it in no way makes me feel satisfied and complete with so many unanswered questions!
I hate that this was the last in Lizzy and Connor’s series. Love these two together.
After the ending of the first book, I eagerly jumped into this one. I love a good action packed, suspenseful romance and this book had it. In this book we get the respective and tragic backgrounds of the two. And in the case of Connor - horrific. It explains so much and looks like part of it will continue in other books.
The scenes between Lizzy and Connor are so sizzling as well as poignant. They are two lost souls in their own way that find their perfect match.
I didn’t think Lizzy and Conner’s story could get any better or more exciting but wow! Just wow! This book was amazing ... Lizzy and Conner were like fireworks going off throughout the whole book. I was routing for them the whole book long, however they couldn’t seem to get out of each others way emotionally and sometimes physically. I’m not going to tell you what happens, you’ll have to read to find out. I will bet you won’t be able to put this fast paced exciting book down though.
An epic conclusion to Connor and Lizzy's story. From the very beginning we are taken on one hell of a ride. We all know these two are each others other half but there always seems to be a road block in their way. You'll have to read Kingdom Fall to discover if they can navigate their way to a happily ever after, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Kingdom Fall is book two of the duet so Kingdom Come must be read first.
Now if you haven't read kingdom come turn back and read it before this one. That is a must because of what happens in this book then won't make any sense till you do.
Now on that note you've read book one and your like what the neck well don't worry you do get answers well eventually. But we fell in love with these two early and well your not going to fall out of love with them any time soon. I want to really tell you more but you need to read these books.
I enjoyed this conclusion to Connor & Lizzy’s story but damn I shouted at this book many times with them being jerks to each other and their push & pull chemistry. I’m a little disappointed he didn’t get (The Six) and would have liked to see and end to that for him or what happened to the FBI contract who went dark??? I hadn’t realised Kalen & Bailey start off in Money Man I just realised that when reading the last page and seeing the other books.
The conclusion to Kingdom Come is here!! Connor and Lizzy have one rough journey together. So much going on between these two to see how their story ends. Lots of suspense and angst. One minute they want each other and the next they don’t...just when I think I’ve got it figured out I don’t! We also get more of Connor’s/Striker’s back story and it gives you a real understanding of him. What’s better is the ending....
After that epic cliffie, I couldn't wait to pick up KINGDOM FALL. Connor and Lizzy dominated my time. I couldn't read fast enough. The whole story is top shelf goodness.
I couldn't get inside these characters heads and lives any faster. The alpha and sass. Tell me that doesn't sound like romance heaven material? I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
