Lottie Jones has returned to protect the Magical Realms and does she succeed in saving Magic while trying to find her lost friends?.....
This time taking her to Veridian. But Betrayal never seems to be far away but with her new found confidence She must show that she can learn and grow to take on evil. Her ability is tested and with the help of others they fight with all they have and together they must over power evil and save The Magic Staff.
Once again An Exceptionally written adventure to get throughly engrossed in.
Magical masterpiece!!!

The action was very good. The villain was done very well. The amount of love the poured off everyone for each other in this was amazing. It's sweet how even strangers can care for you. The ending made me want more!

The magical world that the author has created is wonderful; different realms, mythical creatures and magical powers. Lottie is a fantastic character, she is very well written and has brilliant qualities. Lottie has so much responsibility for such a young girl, she handles it like a boss though! Book 2 picks up exactly where book 1 left off. We see Lottie faced with the horrific revelation that the magical staff is missing, not to mention her companions still being missing. This book sees Lottie develop her powers and realise just how unique she us. We are introduced to some new characters and also find out a lot more about the existing characters. The bond that Lottie and her dad share is awesome, they're incredibly close and he is so proud of how she's handling her new life. An element of mystery is introduced towards the end of the book when Lottie turns 13 and is given a ring by her dad, Lottie's mum picked out the ring before she died and there is something special about it. I am very much looking forward to book three- there is so such intrigue around the ring and there are some key characters that need rescuing. I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment.

We meet Lottie again. 😊😊. And this time in the magical realm of Veridian.
In this book Lottie's search for her friends continues and also her fight with her nemesis, her uncle.
A few new characters have been introduced including two relatives.
As expected this book this book contains lots of adventures, lot of twists and turns , lots of magic and lots of fun .
All the characters have been wonderfully etched out. I like the way the writer portrays Lottie Jones. Even though she has an extremely extraordinary life but she never looses her simple normal teenage self .
A great fantasy. A must read for all fantasy book lovers. Very imaginative.
I will be eagerly waiting to meet Lottie again in the third book of the series.

An inventive and entertaining sequel
I read Dragoron beforehand, finding it to be an enthralling adventure that could be enjoyed by anyone aged from 10 to 100. Veridian is similar, and continues where Dragoron ended, with the magical realms in peril due to the evil intentions and deeds of Lord Amara.
The story continues to follow Lottie Jones, as she acquires more of the magic skills required to fulfil her destiny as High Sorceress. We see Lottie and her band transported to the realm of Veridian to search of her missing companions, and also for the magical staff which was stolen at the end of the first book. Read it to see whether she succeeds.
The plot, the language and the style of writing are not overly complex, and are perfectly suited to the younger teen reader. If you have a teenager that loves fantasy, I suggest you put Lottie Jones on their list.

Excitement Ensues as Magic Causes Sparks to Fly.

The visit to Veridian can not be attempted without a well placed plan. A plan that began with a mission to retrieve the Magic Staff, but as it turns out, the staff is not all that is in need of rescuing.

The team continues to grow and strategies evolve to include what part the individual magical skills will play. The overall success hinges on the strength of the bond amongst the members and how fine tuned their skills are.

H.S. Matthews had held my interest throughout and kept my intrigue intact for the next realm.

Lottie Jones and the Magical Realms: Veridian is the second book in the Lottie Jones series and, if anything, I thought it was better than the first because more of the story is told in dialogue. Much like the first book the story centres around Lottie. This time she's on a quest to free the realm of Veridian and recover the magic staff (which was stolen at the end of book one). The story had a fair few twists and turns in it and there was a 'surely not?' moment in the middle of the book. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It's true that the language is simple but it's a children's book so you'd expect that. What I'd like to see in the next book is even more of the story told in real time rather than as a flash back.

I am so glad that I had this book at the ready when I finished the first book because it left off on a cliffhanger.

We are back with Lottie as she is trying to save the realm from Veridian. I really enjoyed how the story continued and we get to see Lottie on her quest.

I love how this world was described more and that we get to know Lottie a little bit more. Although this book is still written as in a past tense type of scenario, so if you are not in to that type of writing then you may struggle a bit.

I am happy I got to read these 2 books because I will be continuing this story when the next one comes out. It may be a fast and easy read compared to the other books I've read but it is just as much enjoyable.

This is the second book in the Lottie Jones and the Magical Realms series. This series is targeting middle grade, however being a grown adult I really enjoyed them. They are both fast paced and well written. The storyline is great, I think any young person has always wished there was talk magic in the world - imagine finding out that there is, and that you have a huge role in saving the world. If you are looking for a good fantasy read, get these books.

After reading Dragoron I was eagerly anticipating Veridian....what happened to Lottie and her friends ? What would happen next ? Where would Lottie end up ? What adventures awaited her ? Who/what would she encounter ?

I was not disappointed.

A brilliant follow up book, beautifully written by HSM...and the cliffhangers are still there !!

What's next I ask myself ?????

Highly recommend to any age group...im over 40 and loved it !!!!

This one was better than the last. The story line is similar: Lottie has to go to a new realm due to trouble, but this time they know that Lord Amara is behind it. With Ben, Alice, and her Dad, Lottie has many people to help her get through this next issue and continue to grow her powers.

I enjoy the stories but they are a bit too juvenile in their writing style for me. I also found this one a bit repetitive but the story was good enough for me to carry on reading and enjoy it!
