This is a really enjoyable book. It contains a wide range of excellent short stories from some of Ireland's top authors. The book is ideal for anyone looking to improve their reading skills but it is also suitable for experienced readers who enjoy the short story genre.

Zbirka priča irskih manje poznatih (i nepoznatih) pisaca. A pošto sam uz Petru na čelu Nijansi, koje takođe pružaju šansu i poznatim i nepoznatim piscima, rado sam uzeo ovu knjigu u ruke. Tridesetak pisaca, kratke priče, mahom inspirisane koronom. Ima ih boljih i lošijih, mahom su drame i slično, ali sve u svemu dobra je zbirka.

This collection of short stories written by various authors and edited by Patricia Scanlan was quite entertaining. The different writing styles of the authors was informative. I thought the last story was a bit different from the others but I presume it was because the family were used to different cultures and customs than us western women!

What a lovely, complex and varied collection of stories written in plain English with no unnecessary long passages. Mostly sad and realism, with some non fiction, dystopian and other genres. Would have liked more upbeat stories but these are Irish writers haha and that's taste not quality of the work.
