Confusing beginning as some guy shows his wife that he is now a superhero. He rushes off to 'Go on Patrol', comes across bad guys shooting at cops, the Uni Power falters, and a cop is killed. Guy is upset and cries out for the power to go away if it can't work any better than that... not sure where the rest of the story was, but it was not here.
Now the sentient Uni Power seeks out the help of Bruce Banner to try and figure out why it has become inconsistent.
Hulk gets Uni Power and fights bad guys trying to capture power.
Good scientist accused of murdering bad guy (which made absolutely no sense at all).
Banners calls Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil for help.
Daredevil gets Uni Power and fights bad guys trying to capture power.
X-23 gets Uni Power and fights bad guys trying to capture power.
Invisible Woman gets Uni Power and fights... Gladiator (didn't see that coming did you), because somehow the Shi'ar - from a galaxy away - know that the Uni Power is unstable, so Gladiator is sent to bring it back to Shi'ar homeworld.
Then: Silver Surfer, Gladiator, some lizard alien that eats energy... whatever.
There was no real ending, and looks like there never will be. It is a shame because there was potential here.
Hulk and Daredevil arcs had really good art. Invisible Woman and Silver Surfer art was good in places, but the faces looked bad. X-23 art was light on detail.

Not really sure what the point of this book was, or the individual stories it contains. The Captain Universe power works best like DC’s Dial H For Hero, when different individuals are temporarily empowered with powers and abilities. This book proved the uni-power cannot sustain a story on its own, and the entire thing seemed designed just to launch someone as an ongoing Captain Universe. Bad move, Marvel.
The art was pedestrian at best, the script passable but ultimately the story led nowhere. The novelty of seeing established heroes ( and,er, X-23) gain the power wore off rapidly.
Professional, but pointless.

Pretty boring for a book about a VERY powerful force, supposedly cosmic. Also i had a problem that it only amplifies characters’ powers even though it also makes regular people superheroes? Inconsistent.

An OK story featuring various Marvel heroes being temporarily empowered as Captain Universe. Some segments are better than others, with the best probably being the ones for X-23 and Daredevil, and the worst being the ones for Invisible Woman and Silver Surfer. (Hulk's is OK, and the framing sequence is largely just there.)
