dnf @ 47%, writing came out sorta homophobic at parts to the point that I just couldn’t continue it

This was my first book by Anna Santos. I found her books in a reverse harem group I'm in. I honestly didn't have any expectations going into starting this book, but whatever expectations I did have.... this did not meet.
I absolutely HATE leaving less than amazing reviews on books, I do. I'm 100% sure that so many other people love this book, and it was exactly what they wanted to read.
This book has a LOT of sex scenes. and I do mean a LOT. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not one to complain about sex scenes, ever, but this story was ALL sex scenes, and almost no other plot. Lol,
The author didn't dive too deep into details or storylines for most of the characters. Some of it seemed pretty scattered.. and to be honest, i didn't exactly love the main female character.
Will I read the rest of the series? maybe.. just to see if it gets better, but overall, this was only about 2 stars for me.

Vampires Possession is the first book in Anna Santos’s Vampire Court series. This book is a paranormal reverse harem romance. This steamy novel revolves around Emily as she finds her life taking a whirlwind turn. She goes from living a mundane life working late hours at a convenience store, to living the life of luxury and relaxation in a mansion with three handsome men. She’s told that they are vampires (except for one) and that she was their sire in a previous life. The clock is ticking on Emily allowing them to fully bring her into their world, but things are about to get extremely chaotic for her.
Vampire’s Possession is packed with steamy moments. While the blurb makes the story sound really engaging and interesting, the actual storyline itself falls a bit flat for me. There isn’t a lot of development that builds up to things. The prologue piques my interest, but the shift doesn’t follow through to it’s full potential. I was expecting the men to woo and romance her, but it’s more of a “jump into bed” type scenario throughout. I don’t mind the steamy situations, but I wanted there to be more growth and development first.
I’ve read books by this author before, and I hate to say it, but this book is a disappointment for me. This book is more sex than storyline. Emily spends more time jumping from guy to guy in this book than anything else. The author says that Emily spends time here and there reading the diary and spending some time in the library with Antoine, but one can hardly say that her time spent there is truly fruitful. The storyline pops up here and there which encouraged me to stick with the story, but I wanted more. This book honestly reads more like an erotica fantasy novel than a paranormal romance reverse harem.
I think that there are some serious missed opportunities throughout. The author could have given readers excerpts from the diary to let readers know what all Victoria was talking about. The threat/danger is presented and then resolved before the story ends, which seems like yet another missed opportunity to take things in a different direction.
For readers who love mostly steamy novels then this book will be one that you’ll want to check out. For readers who want more --- a more storyline focused novel, this book might not be one that you’ll want to check out. I’m rating this book 3.5 out of 5 stars. The storyline had potential, but it never manages to get there since it seems that sex was the main focus. It’d have been different if the sex had had a “purpose” i.e. helping her regain memories, but it’s purely enjoyment while the real story happens somewhere off paper. I’m not sure if I’ll continue this series.

I have read some books by this author before and liked them well enough to be eager to read this one too.. though I have to say this time I am disappointed.
Reading the blurb, I got excited by the premise, and thought it is a nice teaser to see what happens. But after finishing the book, I can say the blurb is pretty much the whole story that happened, and I can't truly understand the reviews praising the plot. Steamy RH here pretty much equals erotica, as 80% of the book is just sex. One sex scene after another, with a short bridge between them. No plot development, no character development, nothing just sex and some drama related to the whole situation about how to deal with sex with her harem. From the little information about Emily's previous life, I can't reconcile the woman's actions with her past, and I can't connect with her. Around 80% into the book there was finally a twist that promised action, adventure, and story development - yet it held all in all for one chapter before coming back to sex. The end part improved the impression from the book, giving me at least some hope of salvation, but unfortunately I doubt I will continue the series. I simply can't bring myself to care about Emily or the guys (maybe Simon has some hope), and if she were to be my queen, I'd probably thought the best use of her is the way Cole tried to use the FMC. Sorry.

This is the second book of the Vampire court series and follows Vampire's Queen.
I'm loving where the story is going. Richard and Antoine believe Emily is the reincarnation of their Queen Mistress Victoria and they want Emily to bring her memories and personality back! Emily is reading Victoria's journals and she doesn't like her! The only way to get the memories is from a bit of Victoria's blood that's been saved and they want to turn Emily and give the blood to get Victoria back. Emily wants Richard and Antoine to love her not for Victoria's memories. This is Where Simon comes in and them getting closer as he likes Emily as he never knew Victoria.
Then we have the steam and spice scenes, yes there's a lot of it BUT it shows how the men are bonding with Emily and the differences between the men. I actually loved how the book was put together and I do love spice in a book😉
What more will you see from this book?? Will Emily turn into a Vamipre? Is she going to accept Cole or is there something that's just not right with him? Will she become Victoria if she takes the blood? This book is so worth the read and I can't wait to see how much further the relationships will go.
It's a 5⭐️ book for me.

Emily doesn't want to deal with another woman's memories which will fill her with a certain amount of darkness.
When a vampire abducts her from her lovers and takes choices away from her.. How will she be with them when they find her again?
This second book sees them all learn how to deal with the harem lifestyle and Simon will be her third lover replacing the vampire she disliked.
I was keen to get stuck into this book and discover how these characters would develop further.
A large amount of this is erotic but it cements the bond between them all and builds a solid foundation for the future.
I enjoyed the drama that took this to the next level and brought about intrigue for the next book.
I can't wait to see how the group will deal with the dreaded vampire court.

What a twist😉👏
This was a crazy story and I really enjoyed it. Vampires with the help of a witch have found their Sire/Mistress and Emily is just a female who's into Goth/Occult. Next thing you know she's being held captive till she can be convinced and come to believe she's Victoria (former mistress). Throw in some non-stop hot sex with 2 vamps & 1 servant/pet, reading her past life diaries, and having to decide if she wants to be a Mistress again (with her old memories restored) with a deadline hanging over them or face death!?! 😱 Also, it ends in Dun, Dun, Dun moment, too. On to the next! #HappyReading 💖

Vampire's Possession by Anna Santos is Book 1 in the Vampire Court series. It is a well written, interesting story with well-developed characters. Emily, MFC, is supposed to be the reincarcerated sire/mistress of three vampires in another life that she has no memory of. They are holding her prisoner in a mansion. Another character is the witch Susana who I hope we will see more of in the next book in the series which I'm looking forward to reading. Received an ARC from StoryOrigin and this is my voluntary review. I enjoyed this book and picked up a copy.

Richard and Antoine believe she is the reincarnation of their vampire Queen, will Emily have to give up her humanity for them? Simon (human) also wants to claim Emily, but can he share with the her vampires? I enjoyed this steamy romance (that has plenty of scenes with her and her men), the intrigue of finding out what happened in the past and how they are going to move forward. I want to know what happens next, so I am looking forward to the next book.

Vampire's Possession by Anna Santos is an amazing story to read. This is book number one in this amazing series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to finish reading this amazing series that I love. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harem, vampires, LGBT, erotic and paranormal romance.

Vampire's Possession is book one and a very steamy start to the Vampire Courts series. This is the story about a woman who is trapped in a mansion with three vampires who claim she is their sire reincarnated. Although the story started out a bit slow once it got going it was good. I look forward to reading the next book in this series to find out what happens next. The writing is good and the characters are well developed. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I really liked the premise of this story. I chose to read this book based on it. I was disappointed with the results. The story started out with an interesting scene though the next portion seemed slow because I couldn’t wait to get into the heart of the story. It was a good start and I hope that there will be more in the next book.

This book.. I have no words it reeled me in and kept me hooked until the very end!! Em gets rhe shock of the life time when she is told she is the reincarnation of an old vampire. Her sires 3 men are trying to convince her to accept it. With lots of passion and steam and the unknowing of if she is who they say she really is and danger lurking aroumd the corner can Em survive the week.

In the second book in this series, we get to know a little bit more about the men in Em´s life, I would have liked a little more of the action to have been out of the bed, to get a little more story. But to get a deeper connection between the lovers.
But the end is enticing and I'm eager for the next book.
If you like steamy scenes this will not disappoint.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great drama and romance with wonderful world building.

Wow!!! This story is gr8. It starts a little slow but picked up towards the end. It's a strange type of vampire story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up.

Three beautiful men think she is their vampire queen from centuries past. They will do anything for her. I thought this story was romantic in a way and the sex was so so hot. The characters are to die for. I couldn;t put this book down. I love it.

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Anna Santos; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Emily is into two vampires and one human. I liked Richard and Antoine, but I really don't care for how Simon is. He kind of r4uins the whole story for me. I wish he was written with a different peronality. Will she turn into a vampire? Or will she stay human? Wha happened to Cole?.

This was a different type of vampire story. I would have given it 5 stars if it was lengthy so it could provide more detail and their were a few words missing on a few sentences. Good characters, good story, good world building, and romance.

I am so invested in this story that I had to add the last two books in this series just to see what happens to the characters. I want to know what will happen to them and who is this King. I am really hopping that Emily come out on top of everything that is happening to her.

The plot of this book is definitely interesting. Once the FMC is swept into a whole new world things I was excited for the history and lore as well as the relationship building... those things really didn’t happen much until near the end. The book was mostly her going from bed to bed with little development. Eventually things speed up in a different kind of way and we get a slice of what I was excited for. I’ll definitely read the next to see if it keeps more the pace of the ending.

This is a very engaging read that is well written. Characters are intriguing and have great chemistry and dynamics. The story has amazing heat. I am very excited to read more of this series.
