A "zombie apocalypse" that veered off into sci-fi territory, it was an entertaining start that unfortunately faltered at an unbelievable plot point and felt very rushed in it's conclusion.
Zombie apocalypse stories are more plentiful than flies around a corpse, so to stand out from the crowd, they need to have something unique going on. Infected tried to be something different, but it felt too rushed. A time discrepancy entered the narrative and could have been interesting, however, an explanation was given for it only a few sentences after being introduced. Fans of postapocalyptic zombie tales may find it entertaining, but unfortunately, it didn't hit the mark for me.
