The first half was amazing, the 2nd half spends a lot of time speculating on the true identities of all these different demon lords, but overall I'm still very happy with this book.

Re-read December 2024:
The second time round I wasn't nearly half as annoyed with the introduction of the other demon lords. There weren't that many. Curious to see where the series will go from here.

I have questions…
This is supposed to be full-on, no playing around SMUT, right?! WHY IS THERE SO MUCH PLOT?! WHY ARE THE CHARACTERS AMAZING?! THAT STORY THO!! Y’all, for real. There’s some seriously bad ass stuff going on here. There’s insane plot, mystery, a story that won’t quit, intriguing and awesome characters, and smutty, spicy goodness that’s almost too much to handle. This little trilogy has blown my mind in the best of ways. This author needs more credit. I want to be friends so I can pick their brain.. it’s such an intense and stunning place, obviously. I’ve read 900 page fantasies with less creativity and heart.

Incredibly hot, and a decent plot
So I have my doubts about who really is the Fallen One - I personally think that Hesperes’ friend is merely a front for the one who’s really in charge. If I’m right, Ethan is likely in a whole lot of danger, but (hopefully) they’ll find both truth and help at the club.
