I survived my first week in Witch Haven! I found old friends, amazing familiars, and even a few allies… but then my best friend vanished.
Luna’s been missing for days and I’m freaking out. Who took her? Why? Am I to blame?
Having tackled pesky ghosts and stayed one step ahead of the Magic Council, I knew my luck wouldn’t hold.
The Magic Council catch me, and I’m in oodles of trouble. But then smack me on the head with a broomstick, I’m saved by Olympus Duke, Head of the Magic Council.
Well, I say saved. He lands me with a hexing problem. And that problem involves possessed killer dolls and gnomes with attitude. Is he trying to get me killed?
If he is, he’s not the only one. With the villagers on a witch hunt, it’s only a matter of time before I find myself on a burning pyre. Chargrilled witch, anyone?
Witch Haven is my home for now, but I’m not getting any invites for tea and cake. Just how long can a hated witch survive in a place so tainted with darkness?
Welcome back to Witch Haven and book two in this cozy witch paranormal mystery series, full of magic and puzzles to solve. Indigo Ash is still struggling to get over her past and stay alive, but now she's on a mission to save her friend, and potentially, the whole village. And this witch isn’t giving up without a fight.
K.E. O’Connor is the author of the Witch Haven mystery series, the Crypt Witch cozy mysteries, the Lorna Shadow ghost mysteries, the Holly Holmes baking mysteries, the Zee Town paranormal cozy series, and the Old Sarum mystery series, along with other titles available if you cast the right spell. She can imagine dragons, taste cookies when they aren’t even there, and hear the crack of a witch’s broom at a hundred paces.
K.E. (the K stands for Karen) lives in the United Kingdom (it isn’t very united, but that’s a mystery for another time) among the mystical stones and fairy creatures of Somerset. She graduated from the Universities of Southampton and Reading, where she received degrees in Archaeology and Cognitive Evolution (both highly entertaining to take part in, but with the career options of a ground witch’s toe bone.)

Entertaining supernatural urban fantasy /Cozy mystery
This is an entertaining supernatural urban fantasy/cozy mystery series. I fun cast of characters in an entertaining storyline. Indigo ash was a young which raised by her stepmother that for some unknown reason suddenly became a dark which infected indigo as well and dark things happen. They were both cut it off to prison and it is now a decade later. Indigo is forced to go back to the town where all this happened. She soon begins to find out that everything was not quite as it seems. Her stepmother may have been set up and blackmailed and forced into doing what she did. Read on and find out the true story.
This one was not as good as the first book. It was confusing with the plot and action jumping around a lot. I still enjoyed it but I will decide about the rest of the series after I read the next book.

Well, I say saved. He lands me with a hexing problem. And that problem involves possessed killer dolls and gnomes with attitude. Is he trying to get me killed? If he is, he’s not the only one.
With the villagers still on a bad witch hunt, it’s only a matter of time before I find myself on a burning pyre. Chargrilled witch, anyone?
This magical village is my home for now, but I’m not getting any invites for tea and cake. Just how long can I survive in a place so tainted with darkness? And do I even want to?
I like this storyline about a witch that was in prison and rehab for dark magic, coming home and trying to make things right. The plot and subplots move quickly. However, the conversations are a little off making it a little awkward. I am looking forward to the next book.
These just keep getting better and better. This is a series so it probably is best you read in order, however this is to good of a book to overlook if you haven’t/can’t read book one. There is small referrals to things in book one that you may not be lost. Great clean “magical” book. Recommend for anyone.
Magic, familiars, loss, hate, magical friends, scarecrow, magic council, crazy dolls, love. So much is happening in this small witch town. Never a dull moment. Worth reading.
So very good! Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2020 Indigo is such an amazing character. The mystery’ twists and turns kept me riveted to the page. I am loving the town of Witch Haven and cannot wait until my next visit. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
The heroine came off sounding like a petulant teenager in this book. There was no reasoning behind her actions and the story comes across as scattered and inconsistent. Not really sure at this point if I’ll continue the series.
Fabulous story. There were twists and turns that no one could expect. It is amazing how the characters blend together and have grown in their respective positions. I recommend this book series by K.E. O'Connor.
Another cute edition to this cozy series...lots of humor and a small group of friends trying to hang together and fix the black magic inflicting the town. The familiars and Indigo's best buds look out for each other to stay safe from Ursa's poisoned dolls.
Am enjoying this series quite a lot. There's a little bit of wacky. Many secrets to uncover. Unfamiliar familiars. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
I can't help but think the dark coven is hiding in plain sight, but who are they and who can she trust. I can't wait for the next book, for questions to be answered.
typical middle book. It felt like it was over before it really began most of the dialogue felt a bit stilted still looking forward to find out if my suspicions are correct
Indigo has made it through her first week back in Witch Haven, but it hasn't been easy. The residents haven't welcomed her because of her past & her friend Luna is missing. She has to find Luna before something bad happens to her. Of course, Nugget, Russell & Hilda are there to help her find Luna. Things get even worse when she finds out that the village has become unsettled by an unknown force that wants to take over the village.
Great series, and I'll definitely read all of the books because I can't wait to find out how it ends.
