After Jade’s childhood friend and boyfriend comes to terms with his sexuality and breaks up with her, she stumbles to a nearby park feeling lost and alone. There, she meets a stranger who listens to her story and offers her a place to crash for the night. The handsome stranger is Nathan, a silent and puzzling man who has a tendency to pick up strays from the street.
In a way, it's the prequel to comedown machine, at least from the perspective that takes place before. Both pieces can be read separately, though. I didn't feel out of place having read lost and found afterwards.
It's a cool story. The characters weren't as messed up as the second work, so made it for a lighter piece to read. I still felt like the main cast was complex enough to be interesting. My favourite character was Leo. For some reason, I resonated with him more, and every bit of challenge he faced was just to satisfying to see how he'd resolve it. Jade and Nathan were cool, but even with Nathan's back story, there wasn't anything that hooked me. Alex, despite having a shorter role, was more intriguing. I was glad to see a bit of Ezra's past self and how he connected Leo to his brother. I need to reread that part in comedown machine now, actually knowing Leo.
The ending wrapped up fairly quickly, but guess it served its purpose. Wasn't anything out of this world, but I can't think of a better alternative tbh.
I really liked this comic! I really liked the art, but I especially liked the character building. Every character in this comic are fleshed out, I really liked how each character have their own flaws that they work towards overcoming. I like how other character's call out on other character's wrongdoing, it's not swept under the rug. There's no one dimensional villain, just complex characters with their own personal struggles.
18+ even though it doesn’t show the sex scenes it’s implied and you know they did something. Overall I really enjoyed this one it followed different people and their struggles with love. Really cute 🥰
I read this completed series on Tapas. It’s very good! There are sex scenes, but they’re not explicit. The intimate scenes are tasteful and artfully done, with smooth lines that show only non private body parts. Not raunchy. I was invested in the story & characters.
This one gave me the NANA feels, but with the right decisions. All characters were lovable, with their own weaknesses. A real slice of life in the real world.
