His resulting notoriety puts him in situations that force him to face difficult How far will you go to protect your society? Your freedom? Your friends? Your family? Your life? See what readers are saying about the RUNNER BOY Life as we’ve known it is over…what do we do now? The idea or theme of the book is fascinating since almost everyone has thought to them selves, “what would I do if there is a complete break down of the social order?” This is a fun read which follows one boy and his family after social order crumbles and he and the family have to learn how to survive in a new world. There are plenty of questions and situations left unanswered which will allow for an intriguing sequel. Fast moving and timely A sit on the edge of your seat adventure that weaves family dynamics in with an apocalyptic event and centers on a resourceful and very human character responding to events he can't control. A great read-and especially applicable in these times. Life and death choices, survival and a mission during chaos. Sit back and buckle up. Well-paced action! Great page-turner! Lots of action and well-paced. I was disappointed when I came to the end and wanted more! What would I do? Liked this even better than Jay Mackey's first book. Great pacing and lots of action. Guarantee that just a few pages into the book, you'll be asking yourself what in the world would I do if this happened to me! Excellent page-turner Loved it! A page turner. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

This one was harder to put down that any of the other books by this author (runner boy and third rescue). I just kept wanting to know more. The story is well structured, and the book is nicely broken up into bite size chapters so it doesn't seem like too much if you don't have a ton of time. This often led to a number of additional chapters as the story grabbed me.

It is a nice follow up to Runner Boy, digs more into life in a world without electricity. will be interested to see where event goes in the next book.

Very entertaining and fast moving book

. The main character, Brady, is very likable and the first person narrative keeps you interested in following the events as the plot evolves. This is Jay Mackey’s third book and his best so far!
