Claimed by Daddy #2

Needing Daddy: Claimed by Daddy, Book Two

Rate this book
Penny needs her daddy.

Upon exiting the aircraft after a flight buffeted by frightening turbulence, Penny Forrester emerges into an alternate reality where she has swapped dimensions. She now finds herself a single woman rather than the wife of the firm-handed husband she calls daddy. Undaunted, she sets out to track down the man she loves.

When a woman he doesn't know seeks him out and claims to be the sister of an old friend, David Forrester cannot help being drawn to her. Penny's obvious need for a firm but loving daddy only increases his desire for her, and before long, she is learning to be his good little girl, both over his knee and in his bed. But when she tells him her story, will he believe her?

Publisher's Note: Needing Daddy is a sequel to Claimed by Daddy. It includes spankings, sexual scenes, and elements of age play. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book

This is book 2 in this series and we are still following the lives of Penny and her David. The story is cute as Penny explores her "little" side with David. There were a few times I was a bit confused but I worked it out in my head and continued to read. Lots of emotions and lots of learning times for Penny. Maybe we're going to see more as the ending was not really abrupt, not really a cliffhanger but left me with questions. I'll be waiting!

This is the flip side of Claimed by Daddy. It was so fun reading the story about the other Penny. Another great story from this author. A unique storyline and an enjoyable read. Penny was so determined to get her daddy. A story that captures the emotions of their situation. Loved the twist at the end.

I thought this was a wonderful second book in the series. I enjoyed being able to find out what happened to both Pennies. I highly enjoyed both books!

Needing Daddy is the second book in Vanessa Brooks’ Claimed by Daddy series. Well, it’s not a series as such. It’s two concurrent stories about the same woman in two different parallel universes.

In Claimed by Daddy, Penny Forrester finds herself unexpectedly flung into a world where she is married to David, a sexy American Daddy Dom who she has no recollection of ever meeting before.

In my five star review of the first book back in June, I wrote “I really hope that Vanessa Brooks writes a companion book to this one telling the story of the Other Penny.” And, happily, this is that book.

The Penny of this book, (Penny 2 for ease of reference) definitely has a worse deal than Penny 1. While it must be pretty unnerving to find yourself thrust into an alternative reality, having a sexy dominant alpha male waiting for you when you get there, definitely eases things a long a bit.

This Penny however, has to contend with not only the headfuckness of multiple dimensions and accepting that the seemingly impossible has happened, she has to do it without the one person she would normally lean on.

Penny 1 said at the end of the last book, “I honestly believe that she would try to find you.” And that is exactly what Penny 2 does. She knows that David is out there somewhere and that the two of them are soul mates. It’s just that David doesn’t know it yet.

It’s a difficult situation to negotiate and, frankly, Penny handles it really, really badly. She entangles herself in a knotty web of fibs, manipulation and nonsense as she single-mindedly pursues her man.

It works for a bit because David and Penny are genuinely made for one another, no matter which universe they inhabit. David knows he wants to be a Daddy Dom to a bratty adorable little and Penny ticks all his boxes.

The age play elements in this story are absolutely enchanting. Penny and David are so much fun when they are together. Whether they’re shopping at Build a Bear, visiting the Tower of London or adopting a puppy, the loveliness of these two characters shines from the page.

And when Penny is in grown-up mode, they have some pretty amazing grown-up fun time too. The sex in this book is scorching hot and wonderfully romantic. You get a two-for-one deal actually, because while Penny is busy pursuing her man, her sister is rekindling her sex life with her own husband, discovering a world of Daddy Dom kink, that Penny can all too easily relate to.

But there’s still all the tangly web of deceit and nonsense stuff and it’s impossible for Penny to open up to a genuine and honest relationship with David with all of that going on. When it inevitably comes crashing down around her ears, it’s impossible to see how Penny and David’s relationship can withstand it.

Needing Daddy is every bit as good as Claimed by Daddy. Both versions of Penny and David are wonderful. Penny may be a little girl when she is in age play mode, but she is also an intelligent and resourceful woman. It must be devastating to have your entire life ripped away in the blink of an eye and yet Penny is the perfect heroine to ensure that – whatever it takes and however it happens – she has the determination to ensure her happily ever after.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Penny is the only passenger left in arrival at London Heathrow, but there is a taxi driver holding a placard with her maiden name. She's surprised that her husband isn't here to pick her up and approaches the driver. When she speaks to him she doesn't recognize the address that he's supposed to deliver her to and turns to leave. He stops her to find out where she'd like to go and agrees to drive her.

When she pulls her contacts up to call her husband she becomes alarmed when she recognizes none of the numbers. Luckily, her sister's number is there and she gives her a ring. Only a child answers the phone. Who's Lucy? And why did she call her Auntie?

When she arrives home she just stares. Something isn't right and why is this woman in her house? When she pushes past the woman heading for the kitchen she stops in her tracks. Where is her kitchen? What's going on here? When her sister, Allie, picks her up her world gets even crazier. Her gay sister is married to a man, Jack, and has two children, Tom and Lucy. Can you have waking nightmares?

Allie had truly thought that she had leanings towards women until she met Jack and fell in love. Although Jack was dominating in the bedroom he wasn't a dominant. He did enjoy spanking, but that's as far as it went. He was way too nice to be a true dominant and she would never share her fantasies with him. She didn't think she could handle the type of men in her books.

The next morning after sending Jack and the kids off, she takes a cup of tea up to her sister. Penny is standing unnaturally still and it's not until she's beside her that she notices that Penny is holding a framed photo and crying. Her sister is standing next to a handsome man in wedding attire, but that's not what leaves her gasping for air. No, it's the photo of her sister and the handsome man along with her and a strange woman.......and her father who looks older than the last time she saw him....right before he and her mom had died.

After several days and her living nightmare still being her reality, Penny sits down with pen and paper and makes a list of everyone who knows David. It's time to find her husband!

I loved this book! This duet takes you totally outside the box of reality, but is so well written that the duality is totally believable. I loved all the characters in all their separate realms and how they were the same, but different.

The storyline is amazing and I was nervous to see how Penny's growing list of lies would come back and bite her. This book is full of spankings and age-play, but not in a sick way. The plot is intriguing and really makes you think what if?

I totally recommend this series and will definitely be reading more books written by Vanessa Brooks!

I was given an ARC to read by the author.

While I've been involved with a lot of alternative lifestyle activities in my life, Little/Daddy play was never one. I read the first book in this two-book series, also as an ARC, I was impressed, so much so that I looked forward to reading the second book.

To write about Littles takes a deft hand and a talented author. It isn't an easy subject and it can easily digress into a book that no one would want to read. Instead Vanessa Brooks did with this book what she did with the first ... she wrote a book that focused on the love and emotion involved in the lifestyle.

You really need to read the first book before you read this, as there are nuances that you'll miss and the emotional angst that exists between the two books. Don't mistake me, this isn't some drama filled BDSM-wannabe. This is a story about the love that can exist between a Dominant and his Little. I've spoken to enough of each in my life to know that Ms. Brooks did a fantastic job of describing the relationship.

I will not say a lot about the story itself, because I hate spoilers, however I will say that you won't be disappointed in the pace of the story or the development of the characters. The book kept my attention the entire way through and I was pleased at the emotion at the end. In my humble opinion, all romances need to end in an uplifting HEA. This one certainly does.

Do I recommend this book? Yes, but only if you have an interest in learning/reading about Daddies/Littles. This book was thoroughly enjoyable - the emotions ran high throughout and frankly, I just plain enjoyed the read.

Needing Daddy is the second book in Vanessa Brooks’ Claimed by Daddy series. This was an enjoyable paranormal romance showcasing the romantic journey of Penny West Forrester and David Forrester. Penny is flying back to England when her plan encounters severe air turbulence causing the plane to lose power and activating a shift in parallel dimensions. In her new dimension, Penny is lost as she no longer is married to David Forrester. They are strangers. She embarks on a quest to get to know him believing that Fate will bring them back together. But, to succeed, Penny needs to keep the truth from David. Will she be successful? What happens when David learns the truth? To discover how her quest unfolds, you must read this book.

Ms. Brooks penned a unique character-driven romance plot. Readers witness two concurrent love stories—Penny and David and Allie (her sister) and Jack (Allie’s husband). The lead characters are charming, intelligent, and focused. Together they radiate with an undeniable attraction. I enjoyed Ms. Brooks’ skill with literary devices, such as, backstory, flashbacks, dialog, and a dual point of view allowing readers to watch Penny and David’s inner conflict. This book turned out to be an entertaining read.

Read the first story first so you can understand this story. Penny is flying back to England from America after a business trip. There is lots of turbulence with the plane and then the lights go out. Once Penny gets home she expects her husband to pick her up but a taxi is waiting for her. When the taxi stops at her house there is someone else living there. Where is her husband David. She calls her sister and she ends up seeing Allie's husband and 2 children but Allie's partner is Clare. What is going on in Penny's life? She goes looking for David Forrester, lies about how she knows him, they start a daddy/little relationship but then the lies catch up with her. (Lies always do.) Can she and this David work through and overcome their problems? There is steam, sex, and how Penny finds the ability to grow from a personal disaster to building her current life. Great two story series. I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have been looking forward to this story since I read the first one. It didn't disappoint. I have been wondering what happened to the other Penny.

Penny has somehow changed places with another Penny in another reality. She doesn't know what is going on at first. Everything is different including her not being married to her David. When she finally accepts what is going on, she knows that she needs to find David in this world. She makes up a tale to meet hime. David is unsure on why she captivates him so much. He begins to spend time with her. What will happen when he discovers her fib?

This story is the second in a series following the life of Penny West. During a turbulent plane trip some how our dear little heroine swaps her life with another version of herself. Claimed by Daddy is the first, I suggest reading that first, you will definitely want to read this one! Both books are well written and fun to read. For fans of spanking romance and age play these books are a must. Happy ever after guaranteed as we follow the trials and tribulations as each Penny settles into their new life.

This is book 2 in our journey with Penny West. In it we discover what happens to the other half of Penny, the established "little." This side of the story focuses on Penny's ability to take a personal disaster and grow it into a life of her own. Her relationship with David can then grow on a firm foundation, built on her current life, not the dreams of her past. I admired this Penny's courage in both her single-minded attempts to regain her Daddy and her eventual ability to stand on her own. A well written finish to a wonderful duet!

This is the second book in the series. The concept that there are multiple timelines and that people can switch is scary. Penny and Penny switched lives, but they remember their old life. In this one, Penny has not married her Daddy and her sister is married and has kids. It was heartbreaking thinking about the pain that Penny goes through before she has her HEA. I enjoyed the story and look forward to more by this author.

Life as Penny knows it is over. Her daddy Dom/husband, her sisters life, everything everything about her life is different now. She got off a flight and walked into a whole new world. She's going to have to learn to adapt but one thing she knows she can't adapt to life without her daddy. She must find David and fix this. Her daddy hates lying, but a girl has to do what she has to do. This is a really cute book and a very novel idea.

This is a story of Penny and David. Not only is this a DD/lg book but it has a twist to another dimension. I thought this book was well written and the characters were great. You could feel what Penny was going through. Everything that she thought she knew is gone once she steps off the plane. So Penny goes to seek out David. I will be going back to read the first book so that I get the full story. Great book.

Needing daddy

Two women named penny on different airplanes hit by turbulence end up in a different dimension. This is the second book in the first that penny who had been single has a husband. I think her change was easier since she had more people to believe her. In this book this penny who had been married is single. Her lesbian sister in this time is married to a man She knows who she is suppose to be with and has to find a way to make it happen. Very interesting books

This second book in the series follows the "other" Penny who was displaced in another dimension after a shocking incident on a plane. When she returns home she can't find her husband or her dog, let alone her house.
When she realizes what must have happened, she goes in search of David, her husband, or rather his counterpart in this dimension. Unfortunately a series of lies gets in the way when found out. But never fear, there is a rather surprising happily ever after.
Such a charming story you won't soon forget.

Book 2, the other story of Penny and David in another dimension!
I’m sorry Vanessa I didn’t realize Amazon’s review didn’t get here.
But this is a great read with daddy playing. Penny is happily married to a gorgeous, successful David. But she finds out not everything is it was when she left . She was on a return flight from USA to London and her flight experienced turbulence. When she lands not everything is as it should be. This is a a fun, sexy and interesting storyline! I loved it 5 Stars ⭐️

Outstanding!!!

Just as wonderful as book 1 , I found myself reading late into the night/ early morning. I didn’t even realize what time it was until I had finished the book. I am now a fan of this author and look forward to more books from her in this genre!

cute

but the constant referencing of "the other world" spoiled my enjoyment for the couple in THIS world. skipped to the end,was an HEA,so it gains a star for that.

Lying sucks

Starting a relationship on a lie is never ok. The writing is good but the story is just fundamentally flawed.

Okay I loved this until the ending. I'm so tired of reading love stories that end up with a pregnancy. Not everyone wants that so it would be nice to read stuff that doesn't have that. Other than that I loved the story and it's unique concepts.

Excellent sequel to Claimed by Daddy! While not necessary, I advise reading Claimed by Daddy first. Penny is flying back to England from America after business meetings. There is turbulence and the lights go out. When the lights are back on, the flight continues. Once in England, Penny expects her husband, David Forrester, to meet her. A taxi is waiting for Penny West, her maiden name. She takes the taxi home but someone else is living there. She calls her sister, Allie, who picks her up and takes her to her home. There she sees Allie’s husband and 2 children. But wait! Allie’s partner is Clare. Who are these people? Where is her husband? Her paperwork says West, not Forrester. The only proof of her existence as she knows are documents and pictures undisturbed in a titanium suitcase. So she goes in search of David Forrester. She finds him and lies about how she knows him. They end up in a daddy/little relationship. But as generally happens, her lies come back to haunt her. Can David and she overcome their problems? These two stories are unique, steamy, sexy and among the best I’ve read. They are definitely must-reads.

This is a story that needs your full attention. The characters are extremely well done, full of flaws and failings. I went from feeling sorry for Penny to disliking her to crying for her pain and falling in love with her again. David is real and dominant. There are some sweet age-play scenes and spankings. This story is more emotional than the first book in this series but can be read as a standalone. I also enjoyed the relationship between Penny's sister and her husband. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. This is a very well written and described story.

Penny finds herself in a life that's not her's, but still kinda her's.

She's a Little without her husband/Daddy and its breaking her heart. So what else could she do but find her Daddy and win his heart!

This story gave me all the feels!!! To watch how things unfold, to see how strong a Little can truly be, to see how love is meant to be...absolutely precious.
