Timmy Colbert has not made his sales quota in two weeks. He makes the wrong decision by downing a few beers. His waitress, Valerie, tries to console him. Candida “Candy” Larkin notices him as Valerie leaves to put in his order and sits down at his table. She is interested in him because he is white and flatters him. Timmy has never dated a Black woman before. He does not notice her 6’4” stature, as it is dark. Candy is quite aggressive in her seduction of Timmy. According to Candy, Timmy needs a woman to control his penis and keep him out of trouble. She introduces him to Ebony Cressor. The two begin humiliating him about the size of his penis.
This introduction is held in a club, a bar or a restaurant. The author keeps calling it different things. What seems authentic is the way Candy and her friends roll over Timmy, ignoring his protestations, demanding that he follow their rules, while violating all social norms.
That night, Candy takes Timmy home and begins his training. He begs to be allowed to go home so that he can sleep and go to work the following day.
In the workplace we see how his boss, Shauna, has stacked the deck against him. He has to bring his sales up to quota in a week. We learn about his co-workers, Carly and Marilyn.
That night, Candy visits Timmy at his house, gets more information with which to blackmail Timmy and invites Ebony to help with his training. Ebony has written a script for Candy’s camera to record Timmy offer to be his boss’ slave. Reading from a script they dictated, Timmy professes to his neighbor that he has erotic feelings toward her. He is spanked with a hairbrush until the threat of a hairbrush keeps him compliant. Suddenly the nighttime is day as Candy walks Timmy over to his neighbor’s house to reveal the video they recorded.
