E.C. Farrell never met a book she didn’t like. (Just kidding! Though she’s not going to bad-mouth the ones she couldn’t finish, she is still mad about the end of Hunger Games Trilogy - RIP Prim) She likes her characters sassy and her endings surprising. Fluent in sarcasm, she has also studied Krav Maga and could out-burpee you any day of the week. When she's not writing, she often teaches creative writing classes for a local non-profit organization Write Create.

In Ghost Academy: The Complete Series by E.C. Farrell, teens who left this world too soon go to Locklear Academy to learn to interact with the world of the living, control their ghostly powers and complete their unfinished business. Beware the Xers though, they will try to control you for their own purposes. Billie and her new friends try to figure out what to do about this. To find out if they succeed I recommend you get this book. It is available on Amazon. I received this kindle copy from the writer and enjoyed reading from beginning to end.

Ghosts are not my favorite paranormal group, so I wasn't all fired up to read this. However, after reading the Blakemore Academy Series that leads into this I thought I should give it a go. I love Rafe's character in that series and wanted to see what Ms. Farrell did with him. I'm so glad I did.
The idea of an academy for ghosts is still farther silly for me, but the world building, plot, and rich characters overcame my reluctance to read very quickly. Billie is one of my new favourite leading ladies. She is utterly quirky with an interesting filter on her mouth. Her relationship with Rafe was really infesting. Overall, the series was very satisfying and I'm very happy I chose to read it.

I really loved this series! I’ve read a ton of books lately with witches, shifters, vampires, etc., but I’ve never read a book where these characters are also ghosts! This was all new for me and I loved every minute of it! I especially loved Billie’s witty personality and humour throughout the entire series. I only wish there could have been more! Not that it was lacking in any way, I just loved it so much I could’ve gone for more of the backstory as well as more of an epilogue! I just didn’t want it to end! lol This was a new author to me but I will definitely be reading more of her work!

This series takes a creative twist on the whole academy trope, with ghosts and the afterlife as the primarily focus. The concept was executed very well with great characters with incredible backstory, a detailed plot, gripping conflict, all together with an amazing storytelling voice. Definitely recommend.
