It’s Ezio and Sam’s time!
I’m loving this military romance series and couldn’t wait to read Ezio and Sam’s story. They had a brief meet earlier but distance meant their romance wasn’t going to happen. Until now. I laughed (blind dates are the worst), smiled a lot (love and besties do that!) and just wallowed in a really good read. Life-threatening situations were Ezio’s wheelhouse and Sam needed him desperately when things got really, really tough. She was tough and capable but with Ezio at her back, they were unstoppable…
Surrounded by friends and family, their courtship was full of steam, laughter and oh so much heart-stopping (for all the good and bad reasons). If you haven’t read this series – or this author – don’t waste any time fixing that! ~Diane, 5 stars

The forth book in the Night Storm series, Her Intense Protector, was every bit as captivating as the previous books. I just plain love the characters that Caitlyn O'Leary creates. What a diverse group. The men are over protective to the point of being cavemen at times, yet they have ver distinctive personalities. The women are seemingly fearless, smart and feisty. The couples have great chemistry. I have to say that Ms O'Leary gave Ezio Stark on of the best and funniest lines I've ever read..."he's so dumb he has get naked to count to 21." I laughed until I had tears.

This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Ezio and Samantha’s story. Ezio has his wok cut out for him in trying to keep Sam safe as she effortlessly seems to attract trouble, which has this overprotective seal tearing his hair out. This is a well written 2nd chance, slow burn story, which is fast paced, and has action, danger, suspense, emotions, explosive chemistry, and great supporting characters. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Ms. O'leary knocked it out of the park. A second chance, slow burn. A swoon worthy hero. A spunky heroine that kept me smiling. Really enjoyed the supporting characters as well. Interesting storyline that will keep you engaged in the story from the beginning to the end. Definitely one to read. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review

Fantastic!
This is a fun and exciting story that has a dark, slimy component that all the Night Storm books are famous for and I love it!
I love Samantha’s diplomatic personality when it comes to her work and dealing with her co-workers individual quirks. She is sensitive to the strengths and weaknesses of her team and strives to make sure they all compliment each other’s skills and work as a team.
I am also tickled to learn that Sam has an unusual skilled hobby that is unusual because it’s not a common hobby that most women are expected to have. I am also pleased that Ezio has a soft spot for animals in need and he spends a lot of his free time in animal shelters helping dogs acclimate and find their furever homes with people who need that perfect furry companion.
An “innocent” card game with an ulterior motive to help wean a habitual gambler away from the card table and back to his loving family turns sour very quickly. Sam’s mad poker skills turn this high stakes poker game into a life-saving yet dangerous situation when the card game is moved at the last minute to an undisclosed secret location. Her phone is taken away and Sam is forced to go through with her good deed, dressed to catch attention, but without backup of any kind. When she wins the game and the big cash payout against the club’s ringer, she is in serious trouble.
Ezio uses all of the resources and people at his disposal to help locate and rescue Samantha. His teammates understand the urgency and danger she is in. They gather forces and support for Ezio and race the clock to find her. The methods they all use are exciting and intriguing. The very satisfying ending is the lead in to a equally satisfying and sweet HEA! I loved it!

Her Intense Protector by Caitlyn O’Leary is the fourth book in her action-packed and thoroughly entertaining Night Storm series, and another example of why readers keep coming back for more of this exceptionally talented author’s work. But while Her Intense Protector does have some danger and suspense to whet your SEAL appetites, this story is more about rebuilding lives and the struggle to find where you ultimately belong.
Samantha and Ezio have met before and the chemistry they felt was undeniable, but also badly timed due to Sam’s recently jilted heart. Ezio never forgot the captivating woman, and Sam has featured in many of Ezio’s more erotic dreams but playing second fiddle to a woman’s heart as the rebound romance just isn’t his style. Sam wants a new start and moving where she has friends for support and can leave the memories behind seems the logical thing to do, and her fresh start definitely doesn’t include sexy SEALs or complex relationships. But Ezio has never been far from her thoughts and reconnecting with the gorgeous and big-hearted SEAL is causing Sam to revaluate her stand on romance.
As this intriguing and captivating story progresses, readers meet a woman who is unfailingly loyal and quite often used for the benefit of others. Sam has one unmistakable fault; she simply can’t say no when asked to help someone in need and this can lead to circumstances that put her at risk, even when she’s positive she has everything under control. For his part, Ezio is a man who is more than the stunning and glorious package his surface appearance portrays; as a SEAL he's devoted to his team and the protection of the innocent, he is always on call when his large and boisterous family demand attention, and he also finds time for some extracurricular activates that will melt the heart of the most hardened and cynical soul.
So yes, there is an element of danger in this story and a rescue is required, but for me this one was more about the positive, quirky and sometimes gullible Samantha with her adorable and giving persona and the man who is her equal in the giving stakes and whose heart she captured at their very first meeting. Ezio and Sam have some issues to overcome, and his frustration will be front and centre on more than one occasion, but as with any true love story when your heart says it’s right, why fight the pull and deny your happily ever after. I hope you enjoy this wonderful and heartfelt story as much as I did.

I love books with animals and I fell for Ezio on the first page of this book. Volunteering at the shelter he's found Tabitha a Shephard, Labrador, Husky mix, she will be trained as a therapy dog. She has the perfect temperament. In the meantime Tabitha is helping him with Duchess, an abused border collie mix who's afraid of men. The dogs get along well together and Ezio has been making progress with her. He's about done when he's called by Leo, one of his Night Storm teammates informing him of free food at Kane's. He's only on loan to Night Storm from Omega Team but he will definitely join in the fun at Kane's. The call he gets from Baron, Omega Team's Lieutenant that made me chuckle. Baron's concerned about the way the Night Storm team is finding lasting love, he also wants Ezio back.
The only woman Ezio had been attracted to in a long time didn't live in the area, plus at the time she had recently broken up with her fiancé and he didn't want to be the rebound guy.
As we meet Samantha she's having dinner with her friends David and Toni, they have surprised her with a blind date. A golf buddy of David's who turns out to be the date from hell. This of course leads to much apologizing from David and Toni.
The next night Sam had a fun evening with her best friend Eden. She got advise on a work issue, and ex issue and a heads up that Ezio might contact her. Ezio had found out she's in town at Kane's the night before. Eden was right and Ezio did contact her for a dinner date. Before that date happens her friend Toni springs a plan on her to get her brother back on the wagon again. One that Sam wasn't sure of but couldn't say no to.
I really loved how Ezio and Sam fell into an easy rapport after not seeing each other for so long.
Things go FUBAR pretty quickly with Toni's plan and Sam is stuck in the middle of it all. Oh and just to make things worse her ex shows up.
Plenty of action, suspense, and surprises plus that sizzling romance between Ezio and Sam.

Caitlyn O’Leary has written another wonderful book with great characters, romance and heart pounding action. Her Intense Protector is a fast-paced story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The main male character (Ezio) is an overprotective alpha male who just wants to keep the woman he is falling in love with safe. As I have come to expect from Caitlyn’s books, the female lead (Sam) is strong and resourceful however, Sam is a little more reckless than some others. This means that she gets herself in trouble, but she thinks quickly on her feet – at least until she really gets in over her head. Ezio needs his teammates support to help save her. It is also always good to get updates on previous couples and to have that woven into the current story, but you don’t need to have read the other books to fully enjoy this one.
The story includes some serious issues like addiction – alcohol and gambling plus a pretty frightening bad guy (not fully revealed until late in the book). The relationship has a slow-burn and Ezio is respectful toward Sam and maybe a bit over-concerned about possibly taking advantage of her. Once they move the relationship forward, there is heat and an achingly sweet romance. The fact that the youngest member of the Night Storm team gives all the guys who have found love a hard time and is going to be the next one to fall is a nice touch - I look forward to Leo’s story.
For me, this was a very quick read because I was so engrossed in the story. Now I will wait impatiently for the next book.

This is book 4 in the Night Storm series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone, although the others are just as good as this one! In this one we get Ezio and Sam's story! Sam has moved her whole life after finding out her fiance' was cheating on her. Now she is trying to make a new life in a new location, all while staying away from any kind of romantic entanglements. Ezio has been attracted to Sam from the moment he met her, but with her just coming off a bad relationship, he never thought it would happen. But now he has a second chance to try to show her that not all men are the same, and that what they have could be it for both of them. But when she gets involved in something dangerous, now he has to keep her safe as well.
I loved this one! I am always a sucker for a second chance story, especially when nothing truly went wrong for them. It was just a wrong place at the wrong time type of scenario. Sam went through something that can haunt a woman, and make them question everything about themselves. Cheating just messes with not only your heart but with your head. I loved that she never lost her loyalty and love for others, or her need to help when she knows that she can. A lot of times, women (and men) can become hardened and bitter after that type of situation. But she didn't and I loved everything about her! Ezio is definitely the strong, alpha, protective man, but he also has a heart of gold and more loyalty and love in his little finger than most people. Be prepared, this is a slower burn but it went with the story so well that I loved every single bit of it!

Caitlyn has done it again! In Her Intense Protector: Night Storm # 4 Ezio Stark met Samantha Brooks a year ago, and was very drawn to her, but Samantha was just getting over being left at the alter. Ezio was not comfortable getting involved with her because he didn’t want to be the rebound guy! A year passes, and Samantha moves to Virginia for her job. Ezio is also there working temporarily on a new team, and he asks her to dinner. They click! But they’re going to take things slow. Samantha, who is independent, and loves to help when she is able, decides to help a friend in a scheme that is dangerous, and not well thought out! When things go south, Ezio and his Team must scramble to rescue Samantha and those she’s trying to help. When Ezio decides that it’s too dangerous for her to return home, he convinces her to move in with him. Ezio and Sam are very attracted to each other, and after a few days, give in to that attraction. He still insists that she stay with him, and he takes her to work each day because he doesn’t want her driving, because her car can be recognized. Ezio must go for a training exercise, and will be gone several days. He makes her promise not to drive her car! .She has a presentation, and called an Uber that did not show up. She had no choice but to drive her car. What follows is a nightmare for Ezio, her friends and his teammates when Samantha disappears. Caitlyn never disappoints! This book is full of humor, edge of your seat excitement, terror and a super protective SEAL with a woman who is brave and fearless! Don’t miss this wonderful book!

Ezio is the full package for a hero - hot, hard-bodied, soft-centred, and a strong protective instinct.
The fact that he helps out at a dog shelter earns him extra brownie points!!
Samantha was left at the alter months ago by her despicable ex, when she caught him and her so called friend and bridesmaid, doing the nasty. She moved across country to get away from the pair.
Now she has Eden nearby and she's enjoying her new job but she has managed to leave her big girl panties behind because some of her spark has left her too - the little flicker she felt with Ezio scared her more than she can admit to and she flew under his radar, even though he is so nearby.
But just as Ezio realises how close she is, he may just lose her. She takes on an "undercover" mission for a friend to pull her straying brother from a gambling den and she bites off more than she can chew. Good job Ezio and the Night Storm lads aren't about to let her get into trouble on her own!
Sam may be a tad emotionally hesitant when it comes to getting back into the dating pool but she can still pull on the va-va-voom to distract at the gambling table! I loved that she was so cool in an unknown situation- I did want to throttle her though when she just doesn't realise how much trouble she was really in! Ezio is a sweetheart and I just loved his relationship with his family. Every woman needs an Eden in their life LOL. Now I need to go back to waiting for the next book!

Caitlyn O'Leary, or as I like to call her, The Queen of Hot SEALS, has come out with yet another book in the fantabulous Night Storm series Her Intense Protector. Number four if you must know.
This one is Italian Hottie Ezio Stark and Samantha Brook's book.
Ezio and Sam had met at a party nine months earlier and fireworks sizzle between them, but she goes back to her job on the other side of the country and they fizzle out. Sam comes back to do a job for a hotel chain she has to design for. When Ezio finds out Sam is back, he decides to rekindle those sparks. But people pleaser Sam finds out her friend's brother is in over his head. Sam ris her life to go and help him, but no good deed goes unpunished.
I positively loved this book! The scenes between Ezio are enough to burn the pages from the book (or fry your e -reader. ) I melted over the fact that he rescued dogs from the animal shelter to use as therapy and companion pets, and I got a kick out of when the dogs just took to Sam and he called her `The Pied Piper of dogs` because I have four rescues myself and they follow me everywhere, so I frequently get called that. This is a wonderful addition to the series, but also works as a stand-alone. Still, I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next book to come out.

I positively loved this book! The scenes between Ezio are enough to burn the pages from the book (or fry your e -reader. ) I melted over the fact that he rescued dogs from the animal shelter to use as therapy and companion pets, and I got a kick out of when the dogs just took to Sam and he called her `The Pied Piper of dogs` because I have four rescues myself and they follow me everywhere, so I frequently get called that. This is a wonderful addition to the series, but also works as a stand-alone. Still, I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next book to come out.

This author delivers another engaging story in this very entertaining series.
This time the story belongs to Ezio Stark and Samantha Brooks.
Ezio, a Navy SEAL, is on loan to the Night Storm team. Months ago, during the wedding of his new teammates , he meets recently jilted at the altar, Samantha. He was smitten from that moment on, but he refused to be the rebound guy. Besides , she lives on the other side of the country.
Samantha’s recent promotion brings her to Virginia and Ezio’s current domicile.
With the intend to help a friend and co-worker, Samantha gets herself embroiled with very bad guys, and her life is threatened.
Ezio is about to put his life and his heart on the line for the woman that has captured his everything. While still hoping he is not the rebound guy.
Even though there was action, I found this a “softer” and therefore , sweeter story than previous ones in the series. Samantha is not only brilliant , but she’salso feisty , sweet and funny. A great combination and a wonderful match for Ezio.
Can’t wait for what else the author has in store in the next book in the series.

Have to start out by giving props to the super HOT HOT HOT cover of Her Intense Protector! Next up is talking about this book that I 100% LOVED HARD! Ezio met Samantha at an earlier time, but since they lived too far apart, that was it so he just concentrated on his career as a SEAL. Fate had other plans for these two when Samantha ended up in his neck of the woods, and some hilarious interactions took off. She's not down with relationships, but he's been trained to never give up so you already know the chase will be fun. However, all the fun & games take a turn when Samantha finds herself in serious danger, and it just so happens that Ezio specializes in dangerous rescue missions so despite the fact that she thinks she can get out of the fire herself, she quickly realizes that she needs him on her team. This story had so much goodness to it that you simply cannot go wrong with reading it, so what are you waiting for?! Her Intense Protector is fourth in Caitlyn O'Leary's Night Storm series. I really enjoy getting to know Ezio and Samantha. Ezio is an over thinker but I guess that is par for the course with a SEAL. And Samantha is a thinker as we only her soft heart gets in the way. And she has let her gooey heart get her in trouble. Will she accept it may be more than she can handle? I loved seeing Ezio and Samantha navigate their budding relationship as danger surrounds them. I love that Ms. O'Leary did not make Samantha too stupid too live even as she struggled to accept the danger she was in. I loved see Ezio over process being in love. Did he wait too late to accept his fate? This is a well written and enjoyable story. I loved returning to this world and can't wait to see where Ms. O'Leary will take us next.

Ezio and Sam were just as great together as we knew they would be after they met in Asher and Eden's book. These two are perfect foils for each other. I must say I did get really excited when the book opened with our SEAL hottie at an animal shelter, but alas this book wasn't about a crusader for animals. But for all those animal lovers out there...Duchess gets a HEA as well! Sam was a hoot, I want to be friends with Sam and Eden! As usual with any Caitlyn O'Leary book we had great characters, lots of action, some humor, and a bit of steam. This book wasn't nearly as emotionally heavy as some of her others have been, and that's okay. Enough happens to Sam during this book that she didn't need a tragic back story (although she was left at the alter by her skeezy ex for her maid of honor). All around another great adventure with team Night Storm!

Loved Enzo and Samantha. I am always a sucker for dogs in stories as well.
How could I say no to book 4. I loved Ezio and Samantha. They were a match made in heaven. Ezio is on loan to Night Storm and remembers Sam from years ago. She is just settling her heart after finding her ex cheated on her. After they see each other again, she decides she is going to do her best friend a favour and help with her brother and his gambling problem. This is where the going gets tough as the poker games changes venue, a ringer is placed, she speaks to Phil and chaos rains at the end. With Sam's disappearance it's up to Ezio and his team's job to help find her before its to late. Loved the chemistry between the two of them. I am always a sucker for great stories with dogs in. I can't wait for Leo's story.

Loved this book. All of Ms. O'Leary's books are fantastic. This is another chapter in the Night Storm series. This finds Ezio and Samantha, apart for some time and circumstances find them together again and then thy start where they left off the last time. Ezio does all the right things that an alpha should do and Sam is soaking it in, she can't believe it that he wants to be with her. Sam is sweet and a very giving person, so much that she gets herself in trouble but not really realizing how much trouble she was in. Ezio steps in and takes over as much as he can. Loved the sarcasm throughout, this author is really good at this in all her books. "Scoopage", "Poker Playing Polly" and
"magic doctor stuff" are all great lines. Will always recommend any of this author's books.

This is the fourth book in the series and it still has our band of brothers we started with and though this has action in it I didn't' find it as military orientated as the others just because they were working on their own, together, to save Samantha. Ezio was entranced with Sam when they first met, but he wasn't wanting to be her rebound guy so he walked away hoping he would have another chance down the road. It isn't until Sam is in trouble that Ezio gets his chance and this part made me mad because Sam although strong was such a bleeding heart she couldn't see the danger she always got herself in and wanted to play I am strong hear me roar card even though she could be she wasn't always. I found her annoying and wanted more for Ezio, but he was in love with her and willing to do anything to save her.

This book was amazing like all of Caitlyn O'Leary's books. From the time I started it I didn't want to put it down, and also never wanted it to end. Ezio and Samantha had so much chemistry right from the beginning and I couldn't wait to see where their story went.
Samantha got herself into a little bit of trouble; actually a whole lot of trouble, and like all of the alpha males in Caitlyn's books Ezio was there to protect her.
I love the fact that the books in her series have the other guys you've met in the rest of the series, its why I love to read romantic series, and Caitlyn's are always one of my favorites.
You will never regret reading any of her books, so start on book 1 right now so you are ready to read this one, you won't regret it.

Loved the story. Sam is kind-hearted and gets talked into a hair-brained scheme by a friend that puts her in danger. Little did she know just how dangerous it was going to turn out to be!
Ezio is right there to help keep her safe. He wanted her from the moment they met but he doesn't want to be her rebound guy. A year later he is ready to see where their relationship can go. He just has to keep her alive until then.
Sam kind of leaps without really thinking and if things go wrong it almost seems like she would be the one to say "but did I die?"
There is just something about Ezio. Total gentleman and family man. You see so much of his personality in the interactions between Sam and his family.

This was another very satisfying story from Caitlyn O’Leary. This is a second chance romance, that has given Samantha, a very independent career woman and Ezio, a Navy Seal their time to reconnect after she relocates. When Sam is trying to help her friend’s brother, she gets into more trouble than she can handle. Ezio and his friends are running to the rescue. I love these romantic suspense books, you get to see past team characters, the story lines are solid, the hero is swoon worthy, the heroine is a strong woman who happens to get herself into some drama. I also really appreciated the dogs and their part. This is a 5 star read.

Her Intense Protector Book #4 from the night storm group is absolutely fantastic and intense protector is what you get with Ezio Stark being a seal and he has been in love with Samantha Brooks for awhile but didn't want to be ger rebound after her fiasco with her cheating fiance at the alter. Samantha decides to help her friend out and ends up in trouble and its Ezio to the rescue,but can he keep her safe? This book was absolutely fantastic and omg finally a woman who can play cards with the best of them and we get to see some of the other men in the book and their women. I couldn't put this book down as it will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end. Caitlyn O'Leary knows how to get you to fall for these hunks of seals and their women. Well done . I can't wait to reread it again.

They’d met before and thought they had a connection, but it seemed to fizzle. Some time later we find out why. Ezio is such a protector that he is there as Sam gets into some trouble. As they reconnect, they find they really could have something.
I loved Sam and how independent she is but also that she appreciates a gentleman. As for Ezio, he can’t help but fell protective over her, that’s one thing I love about the way Caitlyn writes her characters, these SEALs are through and through protectors.

Samantha & Ezio love story, I think was push by Fate cause they meet before at a friends wedding. Now they are reunited and it's been a intense. Ezio finally found someone that wants to know him as a man not SEAL. And I love that he his training dogs from shelters to be support dogs for former military. Samantha what can I say about her, i wouldn't like play poker with her she too good and she attract trouble with a capital T. Good thing she found a Hero ❤❤

WOW! Another FANTASTIC story by Caitlyn! This story is about Ezio (very intriguing name) and Samantha. Samantha is a kind hearted gal who seems to get herself into trouble. Ezio is the one who saves her and she has stolen his heart as he has stolen her heart. These two were basically made for each other. When Sam gets kidnapped, Ezio is out of his mind and his team helps find her. In the process, they break a case the Vice Squad was having trouble finding the big guy. Once Sam is rescued by Ezio and his team, she recovers at his place. He then shows her his gift to her - Duchess - and a proposal for their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Caitlyn! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book.
