From Today On, I'm a Boy by Jelack contains themes of: bullying, weeb-shaming and abuse.
Although the ending did feel rushed, it felt wholesome and maintained the delicate balance between what if- and reality. There was nothing that felt cliche, although cliche-type tropes were implemented into the sub-plots. It added to the story rather than degrade it into a stereotype.
On a side note, I really really liked Shiru. You can seduce me anytime ^__^
The art was different to what is typically used in comedy webtoons, but rather than make the panels seem unattractive, it made the story unique and allowed the humour to flow better than if a more common Shounen style was used. There were adaptions made along the way, and as with any artist, the art style improved as the artist became familiar with the anatomy and understood their work better. It just took a moment to get used to. I disagree with the reviews that suggest the art was unflattering. The difference is an indulgence, my dear Watson.
The characters were well developed and so partial to their own traits that I became jealous at all the well made character-arc, despite how short there were and how much they left me craving more.
I would pay a handsome sum of tears to have another season created.

Shume ide e bukur. Boring at times. Predictable ca here. Art style meh.

Per la mia pessima abitudine di iniziare qualcosa senza prima aver letto la trama, ero convinta fosse un bl. Invece no...
Questa storia presenta difettucci sparsi. È evidente! Ma resta comunque davvero, davvero bella.
È, sicuramente, la bellezza è racchiusa in Shiru. Lei non è solo capace di conquistare tutte le persone che incontrata con i suoi modi di fare spontanei, ma anche chi legge. È forte, testarda, determinata, curiosa e insicura. Si porta appresso le sue paure, ma fa di tutto per gli altri. E il suo modo di essere cambia le persone che la circondano.
Ci sono tante cose che avrei voluto fossero trattate meglio. Prima fra tutte una caratterizzazione più approfondita dei personaggi che avrebbe di certo giovato alla storia. È un peccato non sapere di più di alcune dinamiche e delle loro storie. Sarebbe stato più bello conoscerli meglio, anche perché personalmente mi sono piaciuti comunque tutti.
E poi la componente sentimentale. Non sono una fan dei "friends to lovers" eppure questa storia aveva delle ottime premesse. Prendendosi maggiore spazio, avrebbe potuto dare molto di più. Ha un ottimo potenziale. MA, allo stesso tempo, ho apprezzato questa mancanza. Perché Shiru non si sente pronta a tutto questo e non si rende neanche conto dei suoi sentimenti e di quelli degli altri. E questo penso sia parte del suo fascino.
Bullismo, amicizia e accettazione di se stessi sono tra i temi più importanti e che rendono questa storia meritevole di un'occasione.
"Le persone che ti vorranno stare accanto, lo faranno comunque. Quelle che ti abbandoneranno, la useranno come scusa per andarsene.
Certamente noi saremo quelli che resteranno!"

@chapter 70 · whyyyy can't I find chapters 71 - 77 online that aren't locked or in a language that I can't even understanddd?? whyyyyy?
... Ahem. Anyway, I like the art a lot bcs it doesn't try too hard to imitate those extremely extremely gorgeous ones with so many damn layers that trying to imitate it would probably lead to failure and making the art worse. I'm not saying this doesn't have a lot of heart and soul in it, but I'd just like to point out that this kind of art style is really unique and you should probably give it a try.
As for the plot, since I finished this rather quickly (binged it within two hours), I felt like this was pretty good. I can't say much for those who've probably been waiting months for updates, but since I finished it in one go without waiting, I feel like this has a pretty good plot.
Ughhh- Now I'm thinking about those extra chapters again. Extra chapters start from chapter 69 to chapter 77, so that's a total of 9 chapters of extra content on other small storylines with 68 chapters on the main content. Yep. I'm still angry. Nah, more like frustrated. I wanna read the extra stories so muchh. But arghhhh-
... Ahem. I really liked this! The only reason I gave it three stars was because it focuses too much on appearance 😡 It goes on and on about how pretty the FL lead is as a boy and how that’s why she’s popular and everything. like seriously ....
It’s a really calming read. I like how it focuses on friendship more than romance and avoided stereotypical teenage stuff. Although, the plot about the bully who bullies because she wants to be the center of attention, and the part where all the guys start liking her once they realise she’s actually a girl is ugh.
I’ve changed my mind - I’m giving it two stars. Definitely not reading this again - some parts are rrly frustrating.

A nice slice-of-life ig where a girl turns into a guy for a bet.
Honestly I shipped Shiru with a lot of people making it look like a reverse harem as she was sooo admirable and fits with Sanghoo, Kyungtae and other guys (and as she turned to a guy the girls fawned over him too) so yeah it was heartwarming to get on a journey of a comic like this

Este manwha tiene una historia bastante interesante. Tenemos como protagonista a Shiru, una chica que por una apuesta debe de ocultarle a toda la escuela que ella es una chica y vivir como un chico hasta el término del plazo, sin embargo, a lo largo del camino presenta algunas complicaciones que harán que su objetivo se complique. El estilo de dibujo es muy bueno y mejora a lo largo de la historia y me gusta como la amistad juega un papel fundamental en toda la trama, quizá me hubiera gustado conocer más sobre algunos personajes, pero a pesar de eso me gustó demasiado.

This was a sweet read! I liked the main characters and the fact that they weren’t stereotypical teenagers. However, I wish there’d been more details in general (and more depth into the characters’ minds and such), but it was overall enjoyable! I’ll be keeping track of that side story. I hope there’ll be a few more chapters.

Ce manhwa est l’un des tout premier que j’ai lu (il y’a environ 3 ans) et je l’ai déjà lu 4 fois.
Franchement, il est trop bien et le graphisme atypique et beau.
Cependant, j’aurais aimé avoir plus de moment

My new favorite webtoon!! Loved it!! The friendship and comedy in this is what's made me alive these days.. Absolutely adore the characters..
