I was kind of shocked that she got upset when she found out what he did for a living. considering she never asked him, she was OK with the idea that he may be a drug cartel or someone in the mob but she got upset to learn that he is her favourite author lol.
I really enjoyed this story. Nora got stuck in a snowstorm and Wilder rescued her. The storyline was predictable but written so it was fun to read. They had fun in the snow, lost all power, had some hot sex, and finally got plowed out. Quick, fun read with an HEA. I got this book from booksprout for an honest review
They were both in high school, but 10 years later meet up in an unexpected manner. Her car slips on the snowy road on her way to her parents for Christmas. It just happens to be at the end of the driveway to a man living as a hermit that the town has come up with all crazy reasons as to why. He rescues her with the assistance of his dog. Just so happens that he is a former classmate. They get to know each other and have some good fun together as the power goes out. A good quick read.

I knew that it was a Short Story, but having seen the number of chapters I thought it would have some substance and perhaps be the prelude to a greater story. Unfortunately that was not the case. Two pages do not a chapter make! It left me feeling unsatisfied and wondering if I could have spend my time in a more useful and productive way?

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments and just a sliver of the romance that the title implied. However, even though there were times when it would lull, I never pondered choosing another novel for immediately something would grab my attention again. There was always something slightly spicy or mysterious which would reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.
I loved this story. It's a great HEA love story between two old estranged friends. The characters were charming-- Wilder is totally hot. The steamy part was super steamy. I even loved the dog. What a quick and pleasant Christmas story. Allison LaFleur remains one of my favorite romance writers.
Sweet story! Nora gets stuck in a snowdrift and Wilder rescues her and takes her to his cabin. But the cabin is simple. If he's a billionaire and has had it for 10yrs. It should be decked out by now. Except for the mention of the Hummer, we see nothing of his wealth. Liked the story though and the twist.
This is an enjoyable story, if somewhat predictable. Well written with great characters. Worth reading as its a sweet and romantic novella, suitable for any fan of the romance genre.
Great for when you want to pass a limited amount of time. This story had all the requirements of an enjoyable romance without dragging anything on to long. Well worth reading.

A short Christmas romance read. Former high school classmates spend a snowstorm together after she crashes near his cabin. This is a very quick read that took me about 30 minutes to read. It doesn’t get too much into depth of the characters but will give you a nice HEA.
A cute and sweet short Christmas story. This grippong storyline kept my attention with interesting and relatable characters with sizzling hot chemistry. With a nice HEA.

All the potential in the world, the developing storyline was interesting and had the makes of a wonderful novel; however, I never could become engaged with my attention fully invested. I will definitely have to give this story another try later on.

This is a really fast read about Wilder and Nora. They both had crushes on each other in high school, but neither one acted on it. Imagine his surprise when he finds Nora crashed in his driveway, during a snowstorm. Will they finally admit their feelings or will the years since school show them it was just a school crush?
