This book delves into the intriguing world of corporate intrigue, masterfully weaving a tale of mystery and suspense. Bishal Dev Bandhopadhya's demise sets the stage for a riveting exploration of a brilliant yet despised individual, challenging Prakash Chari's detective agency to unearth the truth behind a seemingly clear-cut case.

The narrative skillfully portrays Bishal's enigmatic character, illustrating the stark contrast between his brilliance and his shortcomings as a boss. The toxic corporate environment he presided over sets the tone for a story that transcends the boundaries of a conventional whodunit.

Prakash Chari, the protagonist, emerges as a multidimensional character who abandoned the comforts of a multinational career to pursue his passion for detective work. His team, a diverse ensemble of talents, adds depth to the narrative, each member contributing a unique skill set to unravel the layers of deception surrounding Bishal's demise.

The plot unfolds as a chessboard of corporate power struggles, with the stakes being one of India's most profitable companies. As Prakash and his team navigate the complexities of the case, the palpable tension and pressure to label the incident as suicide create an atmosphere of urgency and suspense.

The author skillfully integrates elements of psychological profiling, forensic investigation, and hacking prowess through Jayanthi, the software engineer with a knack for uncovering hidden truths. The inclusion of Pramod, a retired police detective, adds a layer of authenticity to the investigative process, ensuring a realistic portrayal of the detective agency's operations.

The book's pacing is commendable, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they follow the detective agency's race against time. The revelation of the truth, when it finally occurs, shatters preconceived notions and leaves readers questioning the morality of the characters involved.

The language employed is rich and evocative, showcasing the author's command over the English language. From corporate jargon to the intricacies of detective work, the narrative is laced with a vocabulary that adds sophistication to the storytelling, making it a compelling read for those who appreciate literary prowess.

In conclusion, it is a thought-provoking and immersive journey through the complexities of corporate dynamics, human relationships, and the pursuit of justice. The author's ability to balance intricate details with a fast-paced plot contributes to a captivating narrative that leaves a lasting impression on readers, solidifying its place as a compelling addition to the detective fiction genre.

Book : Who killed the boss ?
Author: Pradeep Swaminathan,
Paperback : 50 pages.
Publisher: Blue Rose Publishers
Language: : English

Review :
I myself was so fascinated by the cover that i was very eager to know what it is holding. Whenever i see such a thriller/ crime book i am very much ready to investigate the case. The Title seems to be so good.
The main protaganist is a CA & leaves his left his job feeling that he can be a good detective as he solved some cases in the Office. Along with him 3 more people from the office joined him as they too were interested in the same. After opening the Agency , they used to crack some small cases because of which they made a good name, hence they got a chance & tried their luck in a high profile case of Bishal, an enterpreneur of a Vaccine Company given to the Police but STAR DETECTIVE AGENCY will be investigating the case. The Major aspect they found during investigation was no one was sad when the boss died, instead everyone had cheerful face.
His body is found on a table with a coffee mug which had Poison & supposedly he died because of that. Innocent Office boy is caught hold as he server coffee.

Is the office boy really innocent ?
why are all the employees so happy ?
Was Bishal involved in unfair practises or Did someone from the office had personal grudges against him?

You can become a CID putting yourself in the place of the Agency to find the murderer.

This book will surely give you a feel that you
are the one who is investigating the case.
Thw twists & turns as the pages are turned are fantastic.

Verdict : Overall its a great crime thriller.

A shout-out for a work of my classmate, Pradeep Swaminathan. Apart from being a Board member in the corporate world, Pradeep has played a parallel innings with his nascent literary venture. His second book, " Who killed my Boss" has been a runaway success with the readers. I curled up with the book, the instant it arrived. Had to finish it the same day, speaks of the suspense that Pradeep spun around the plot.

I must say, the output has been brilliant, thoughtful and deeply engaging. This could well turn out to be the first novel to form a brand new series. Clever, is what Pradeep has been with this output.

Have just been informed, that a startup has approached Pradeep to buy the film production rights of the book. So friends, do give it a go. It's pricing is very reasonable and worth the spend. Available on Amazon and Kindle.

Incidentally, his first book is "Enter Mrs. Bertie", a spin off of PG Wodehouse, in which Bertie Wooster is hitched. Available free online. Give that a go too.

Well done Pradeep !

It's a one-sitting read with cups of warm coffee - full of twists and turns; a right mix of intrigue, hint of romance, adventure, adept reasoning. Touches multiple facets like finance, stock market, the chemistry of poisons, drama, organizational politics, strategy.... This is Pradeep's second book - and is completely different from his first. Having done a PGW, he now takes on Dame Agatha and her cohorts. The protagonist leaves his secure job to put into action something which is almost every child's fantasy - becoming a detective. After some initial smaller successes, he lands a big one.
Which working professional hasn't fantasized about killing (or doing something worse to) his boss? Someone acts on that fantasy and bumps of an egoistic boss. The protagonist is hired to find the killer. The twists the plot takes thereafter keeps you gripped. The book is a must-read; but I have to warn you - do not start it late evening sleeping at 3am, as I did!!
Strongly Recommended for lovers of thrillers.

Rollicking read

Pradeep ensured that the characters were infused with life and you started rooting for or against them. I read the book I’m 2 days barely pitting it down. Great effort.
