I’m not a regular consumer of non-fiction, even less so ‘self-help’ books. But as this was a gift I thought I’d give it a go. This was nowhere near as preachy as other self-help I’ve encountered. So that was nice!
While most of the content and tips for feeling happy were familiar to me (eat more wholefoods, get more sleep, positive self talk) there were some nuggets of wisdom that kept me engaged. And the book did take a nice unexpected turn from health and science to more spiritual ideas of service, fulfilment and love.
One such nugget… ‘the sweet spot in life is where what we love, what we are good at and what serves the world all intersect‘
All in all, well written, thoughtful, easy to read and interesting 😊
