On the verge of happiness everlasting , a worried Mr. Darcy questions the local physician about a marital relations issue…And when odd happenings targeting Elizabeth continue at Pemberley, Mr. Darcy must decide between his past or his future… or lose Elizabeth forever. This is a steamy Pride and Prejudice variation and the final part of the novella series featuring Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.
The best part of this book was the confrontation between Elizabeth and Mrs. Reynolds. Darcy overheard every nasty thing that Mrs. Reynolds had said to Elizabeth. He dismissed her and one of the footman after he had his valet show Mrs. Reynolds the proof that Elizabeth was a virgin when they married. Darcy sent Mrs. Reynolds away in the dog cart.
Tying up loose ends. Though I can understand, Mr Darcy was a little annoying as he procrastinated in this story. FD with prolonged investigation (with help of his valet) and by coincidences ,found out the treatment of Lizzy since the beginning of her stay at Pemberley. Other focus of the story is about Lizzy's condition. (spoilier some old wives tale/beliefs are added in this segment).

I enjoyed this series! A spicy version that still maintains the flavor of the original story, this final installment has realistic dialogue, drama, romance, old wives tales, a helpful circle of women, a few conniving individuals and issues for Darcy to handle. It may take him awhile but he does what needs to be done for the woman who owns his heart! Short, romantic, passionate entertainment.

A wonderful end to this lovely little story. This story grabbed me from the start and never let go. I didn't want it to stop. I just wish we could have seen Lady C getting a visit from Karma for stirring up trouble and being a heifer. I really enjoy this author's works and I own all of them. Sorry to have read the last of the series. Truly enjoyed each volume. Good variation. I don’t like spoilers in reviews but will just say that there was sorrow toward the end but a very good conclusion. Frivolity ruled.
