Fleeting Things

Rate this book
Fleeting Things is a reflection on the journey to trust, love and belong. Combining the beauty of prose with the honesty of poetry, this collection reads like a memoir in metaphors. Rachel H draws on her most personal questions about her place in the world, then answers them all in faith and strength.

This book was written for anyone who has found home to be a fleeting thing. May it never hold you back.

To put it simply, this book was so beautiful.

Every poem is so unique and different, but come together in such a harmonious way to tell the vulnerable story of finding one's place in the world. It had such a lovely flow that made deep topics easy to digest and connect with.

My favourite thing about Fleeting Things was how it made me feel seen - Rachel did such a wonderful job of connecting the reader to her experiences in a meaningful and tangible way. It left me feeling comforted and less alone.

A truly unforgettable poetry collection. Cannot wait to read another poetry collection from Rachel.

This collection touched me and related to me more than I could have expected. Such deep insights into love and loss, healing, growth and faith. And what it really means to feel lost and trying to find your place in the world. Awesome! I look forward to reading it again.

Everything I feel written in beautiful, raw words. I needed something encouraging but also something that made me feel seen — and this does those both so well! Love that her work is inspired by faith too! ❤️

some of the poems were great and truly beautiful and i found that i was able to relate to them on a deeper level. however, there were many cliches which disrupted the flow of some poems and at times the syntax was rather clunky - a few poems could have been worded better. other than that, i thought it was quite brilliant!

I read Fleeting Things sometime last year after I moved for a second time in two years. It was a beautiful collection of work. Extremely touching! I found myself relating deeply with several of her poems. Rachel is open and vulnerable in her poetry which makes her poems and writings relatable and heartfelt. She writes so eloquently as well.

Overall I could not recommend reading this collection more!
