Wow! Even though it’s not winter here in (South ) Australia, this book is a Christmas Bomb! Loving the recipes, loving the layout, the feel, the comfort the glow the book left me with is like a big warm hug under the cold aircon. All the recipes can be easily veganed and are mostly kid friendly. I am so n love with this book. Glad I purchased a copy for a gift that will never be gifted now (😉)

If I can describe this book in a word: Hygge.

Christmas has come and gone but reading about cold snowy evenings and warm treats by the fire has me wishing it was early December all over again.

The recipes and crafts highlighted for the most part look simple enough and delicious or festive, and I look forward to giving them a try. Will update the review when I do!

A whole book on Advent without one mention of why Advent is a season. It's a preparation for the coming of Christ. This has nothing to do with Christ, Christianity, and barely even Christmas. Call it a winter celebration. It's not about Advent.

lovely!! encapsulates the idea of hygge but with a focus on the holidays. works for all of the winter months anyway. beautiful pictures and cover. not necessarily just for those who celebrate advent, but for anyone who enjoys winter and being with family/friends.

Picked this up on Amazon in a googling-anything-to-do-with-Christmas mood. It's a cute enough book, very hygge and mindful, a few nice recipes and photos, but it can be "read" in half an hour.

Lovely, but yet not all practical. Recipes called for obscure ingredients most wouldn't have on hand. It was a fun coffee table type read I might pick up next year...
