What do you do when you blurt out a lie to your boss about being engaged? Try to convince the guy you just met an hour ago to pretend to be your fiancé, of course.
I’m having a great day, complete with lunch in the park … When I just so happen to meet Ben Wilder. A super sexy billionaire, single dad to an adorable little girl. I’m all smiles until I get back to the office …
My new client has some odd criteria. They trust a married person with kids to handle the project. AKA a parent. Which I very much am not. But I just so happen to know someone who is …
It was destiny I met Ben and his daughter that afternoon, right? And it’s totally not a big deal that I kind of accidentally … blurted out to my boss that we’re engaged. Ooops. It’s fine. I just have to convince Ben to go along with it … And hope he doesn’t think I’m a total psycho.
Surprisingly, he’s fine with pretending to be my fiancé. Imagine that! Turns out the real problem is … He’s not really a single dad at all. Or the sweet, charming, funny dream guy I thought he was when we met. He’s an egotistical womanizer who lies about having a kid to pick up chicks.
But he’s willing to help, and without him, my career is screwed. All we have to do is keep up his single dad lie and my fiancé lie. The only thing making my head spin more than all those lies … Is the rush I get every time he’s around, And the memory of our sizzling accidental night in bed together.
Okay, so we slept together. Sure, maybe it complicates things a little … But it doesn’t change his annoyingly smug personality, Or anything else I hate about him. Because I do hate him … Right?
We may keep falling into bed together, but we’re absolutely not falling in love … are we?
An irresistible small-town billionaire and his bossy fake fiancée who will give you roller coaster ride of emotions, possessiveness, intensely hot love and happily ever after!
Lauren Wood loves to read and write about irresistible alpha males who are naughty and dirty. If you like bad boys, sexy neighbors, billionaires, and swoon-worthy romance, you've come to the right place. Her alpha males are strong enough to make the hard decisions in life, but sweet enough to melt for his mate.
She is a big time fashionista, loves trying new hair styles, and if she is not writing, you will find her in a gym working on her body to get the attention of her very own bad boy. *-*-*
I was really looking forward to reading Ben's story & I have to admit this was my favourite of this series I loved it. It was really funny the way he was pretending to be a single Dad by borrowing his best friends daughter to snag women & then Kate pretending to her boss that she was engaged to him giving her the chance of a job. Although he agreed to pretend to be her fiancé in front of her boss they both started having feelings for the other they didn't expect & Kate was holding back as he admitted he didn't do relationships not wanting to get her heart broke. However, it took a turn when her colleague found out she had lied about her relationship with Ben & was going to expose her to their boss. Seeing the mess that Ben had become his friends knew how strong he felt about Kate making him realise that if she made him happy he should tell her which I was so desperately hoping he would so when he turned up at her place of work it was show time. I ended up reading this in one go once my kiddies were at school I loved it that much.
Ben decided to become an eternal bachelor after having his heart broken in college. But it’s harder now that his three best friends are all playing happy families. He borrows Joey’s daughter Olivia from time to time as a ‘chick magnet’ to get himself some dates but his latest coffee date with the stunning Kate ends up being more than he bargained for. Kate works in marketing and she finds herself overlooked for an advertising pitch and a VP promotion all because she is single. Her sexist boss has decided that a prerequisite of a family would determine the success of the pitch. So Kate finds herself discarded. She’s furious as she is the better advertiser, so she finds herself lying to her boss and telling him that she is in fact engaged to a single dad. This sets off a comical chain of events and a clashing of truths and personalities. This was an entertaining and enjoyable read with a great plot that is very amusing. Excellent.
I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
Finally Ben's story. He comes off as arrogant, cocky and knows what he wants and will do anything for it. Ben made his money through hard work with his 3 best friends and partners in their investments. He is the last of the 4 to fall in love and find a forever women. Kate was crushing on Ben but he was not letting it go anywhere until one night. Kate thought Ben was a single father of Olivia but that was Joey and Angel's daughter. At first Ben thinks Kate is desperate and needy. Kate is a successful woman at her place of work. She is fighting for a promotion with Chuck. Ben agrees to be Kate's fake fiancé for a work dinner. Kate thought it was for one night but they just couldn't stay away from each other. Things heat up between them and then it turns into a real fiancé. Now all of the 4 guys have a relationship that they weren't looking for. Love this series and can't wait for the next book to come out. Thanks Lauren.
What happens when you get two people who both tell lies to get what they want a hilarious read tht will kep you entertained until the last page
Kate is having lunch in the park when she meets Ben and his gorgeous baby daughter Olivia she has great fun with them than goes back to her office where she has an appointment with a new contact whose contract she really wants The only problem is they are conservative and want a married person to run their campaign so without a minutes hesitation Kate informs them she is engaged to a single dad. As she then tracks Ben down and asks him to be her pretend fiancee he is quite agreeable to the ruse the only problem is he lied as well he isn't a single dad he isn't a dad at all. Can they work their way through this tangled web and what happens when real emotion gets involved you will have to read to see
Ben likes to pretend he is a single Dad, by taking his friend's daughter Olivia to the park, and picking up women. Kate is drawn into his act, although all they do is just exchange numbers. Kate sees an opportunity to get a promotion she deserves, for all her hard work, but to have a chance at it she needs a fake fiance and potentially a kid. Lies are told on both sides, can they untangle them and get a chance at happily ever after? I enjoyed Ben and Kate's romance, Ben can be a bit frustrating (although I liked him in the end), and Kate is a determine, hard working woman who deserves a break and a happy ending. I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received, and giving my thoughts and opinions on it.
This book brings us Kate and Ben. Ben is an over the top womanizer, using baby Olivia in his plans to find another woman. He runs into Kate at the park and they decide to go for coffee after. Ben tells Kate that he is a single father, and she is impressed with him. Kate works for a marketing firm and wants their new client badly. However, the client is very family orientated, and Kate makes up a story about her and Ben. When she finds out about Ben's lies, this leads to problems, but they still try to work things out for her job. However, the more they spend time together, the more the lie turns into the possibility of something more. This is a good read and I recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
It is now Ben’s turn to have his life turned upside down by a woman. Ben is one of the billionaires who helped change Cherry Falls. He meets Kate while having his niece out and about. Kate learns later on that Olivia is not Ben’s child and is upset. At work, she needs an instant family to help fight for a VP promotion. So, Ben and her use Olivia as his child, and he as Kate’s fiancée to help her land the job. When things are going well for her the other man overhears one of her conversations and is going to out her~ What will occur? Wil, she get the promotion? The man? The baby? I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée. I enjoyed this book! It was really moving and kept me engaged with the characters. Lies always have a way of coming back to bite you as Ben and Kate find out. They both try to get what they want by first using a lie to get people to believe in them. Kate's job is on the line for her and Ben's heart is on the line for him. Do the lies help or hurt them in the end? You must read to find out and continue the series. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
Ben was using his friend baby girl as bait to pick up ladies. He was at the park when he met Kate. She thought he was a single father and the baby was his. She soon found out it was all a ploy to pick her up. After having lied to her boss bout being engaged to Ben they started to hang out so they could fool her boss into believing her. After awhile they figured out it was no longer make believe but the real thing.
All 4 of the books in this series were fun reads with a lot of love and HOT times thrown in.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book It was only a little lie but now Kate is in for a rollercoaster of a ride in life. Meeting Ben can solve all of her job problems.... be her fake fiancé . Borrowing his friends daughter (cutie Olivia) is a bonus. Now the fun begins. Two people with different agendas for a short while but realising how love can creep in. Great characters, brilliant plot and a series you won’t forget in a hurry. Loved it.
I couldn't help but think about that old saying, 'Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive!' as I read this book. Overall, I enjoyed this read. I thought all the lying gave it a bit of an over-the-top feel but it was still fun. The chemistry was really good and I (mostly) liked the characters. This is my frank, freely posted review.
An enjoyable well written sweet romance. This engaging storyline had great banter, some drama, lies, deception and undeniable attraction as I journeyed thru an entertaining story. The characters are well developed, interesting and have great chemistry. I voluntarily read and reviewed this feel good emotional rollercoaster ARC.
I was enjoying this series and did enjoy this book the only thing was it was soo quick for a confirmed bachelor and he was the worst of then all he did fall pretty darn quickly. It’s a quick read and was a good story though of how they came to be together and we got to read more of the all the friends.
Emotionally thrilling, laugh out loud, sexy and fun adventure filled with engaging and witty charters, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Was a fun read that had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end, highly entertaining journey.
This was a sweet and easy read. The characters had great chemistry and were well developed. And the storyline made me root for a HEA all the way through.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
The story is witty and so much fun to read!Ben and Kate, met at the park and went on a coffee date and their story starts to unfold. No spoilers. This steamy entertaining story is realistic and heartwarming. I volunteered to review this arc.
This fun and engaging storyline has two main characters telling lies to obtain what they want. Each does so for their own reasons, and feelings soon develop between them. There are humor and steam in this read and I liked it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
I love every book that Lauren Wood writes. This is no exception. There is no much going on in this book. Of course, it's obvious there's deception. But there is also humor, hot and steamy along with a whole mixing pot of emotions. The story has an excellent flow, the characters are well defined and relatable. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend The Billionaire's Fake Fiancee. Remember, if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first. I
Bait, the baby repeated. He was willing to put his friends daughter out and about, claiming the mother wasn’t with them…but wait, every thing is a lie. HEA ending.
This is book 4 in the small town billionaire brothers series. This is a fake fiance romance. This will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC
ARC Review For honest review. This story has been wilder pretending to be a father of his niece oliva to get girls, when he meets Kate who needs a fake fiancee for her job . These two are cute .
The steamiest book of the series! Eternal Bachelor Ben has finally met his match. There are some crazy antics in this book, which show why Kate is the perfect match for Ben.
"What do you do when you blurt out a lie to your boss about being engaged? Try to convince the guy you just met an hour ago to pretend to be your fiancé, of course."
I can’t believe I’m finished with this series. It ended much better than I thought it would and I got all the closure from the series as a whole. Normally I’m sad to be finishing the last book in a series but instead I am left with gratitude. This was a great book to close out the series and a wonderful way to send these billionaires off. What was entertaining about this book is the fact that both Ben and Kate were running away from their feelings due to the fear of commitment and love. They both were terrified of getting hurt and letting emotions get the better of them. Perhaps the unpredictability of this book is the fact that Kate was the one who initiated the fake fiancée fiasco and not Ben. In all the books I read with a fake fiancee, normally the guy has been the instigator for it. It was refreshing to see the woman do it, and strictly for moving up in the company even though it required lying to her boss and colleagues. With the men I’ve read about pertaining to a fake fiancée it was always family related due to constant mention of grandkids or getting set up. With this one, it doesn’t take on the family values state of mind which was a nice change of pace. This book also decided to forgo a pregnancy which I was so sure would happen. This is due to most of the books in this series involving a pregnancy. To eliminate the pregnancy situation was great as I have been getting a bit bored with the surprise pregnancies as of late. All in all, very entertaining story, I couldn’t put the book down and wait for Ben and Kate to snap out of their fear of finding that connection to someone.
