The holidays are filled with magic and mayhem as Clementine and the gang gear up for Christmas in Peachwood. But when murder arises, can Clementine figure out who did it? Or will this Christmas be a murderous one?
Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
Clem and the quilting club are back in time for Christmas. They are about to put on a play, the quilting club will be actresses and Form will design sets. Japan gets ousted from her normal part as Mary and is relegated to playing Scrooge and she is none to pleased about it. Then people start showing up around town disoriented and having lost their Christmas spirit and Malene, the rest of the quilting club and Clem must figured out who it is so they can save both the town and Christmas. Luckily, for all involved, Rufus shows back up just in time to give them his help. This was a sweet book, well written, fun, engaging and interesting. The characters are loveable, endearing, entertaining and quirky. I highly recommend this book, series and author and am so excited for the next book.
This is an entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Clementine Cook is a witch in a little small town with a mixture of humans and other supernaturals. She has a small business that renovates homes and she also has a knack for solving mysteries. Ever so often in her town there is a mystery that needs to be solved. Sometimes it is a magical mystery and other times it is a mundane mystery but seeing that the police chief is a useless twit. She ends up being needed more often than not. Along with her grandparents her friends and others she always seems to get drawn into and helps solve the mysteries. Very entertaining Siri‘s based in the world of this authors other magical series. Check them out.
First Rufus finds out the truth when he uses the memory spell and leaves for a few weeks to figure everything out. Discovering that he was an evil wizard before who no t only dabbled in dark magic but actually tried to steal people's powers, including Clem's, is more than he can handle.
Then there's a mystery involving someone or something sucking the Christmas spirit out of people. The crew need to find and stop whoever it is before the entire town falls victim and ends up with all of their life force literally sucked out of them. Meanwhile Rufus returns and declares his feelings for Clem and she returns his affections.
Clem gets caught up in the town's Christmas play as a distraction from her feelings about Rufus and gets more than she bargains for! Residents are behaving strangely, and Rufus arrives in time to inform everyone that a dangerous creature is at work. Tracking the culprit as well as navigating Clem's relationship is balanced well in the story, and humor is provided by a garrulous dog and a trio of wacky old ladies. The identity of the monster is only one of the surprises in "Witcher Upper Christmas, and I look forward to seeing what's next for the couples!
Cute book and I’m so glad that “love” was mentioned. I was also a little surprised at what Malene revealed to Clem, but it seems that was coming eventually.
Looks as though Clem is embracing her ability to hunt some spells and also her magic itself.
I wish there was more talk and description of Christmas and the decorations, but I suppose in less than 200 pages you take what you can get and have Clem accidentally accuse the wrong killer…again.
I really enjoyed following Clem on another mystery to solve in this Witcher Upper Christmas . But some times I would lose my attention jumping around from different sub plots. But I still totally enjoyed this & highly recommend these clean. page-turning PNR cozies & can't wait for more! ** So happy I found them in my Kindle Unlimited Trial subscription :)
In this book someone is taking people's Christmas spirit. This turns them mean. Rufus is back and helping them figure everything out. They are running out of time to figure everything out before someone kills all the people in town. I live Amy Boyles books.
Another fun and exciting book from this series. I read this holiday one a little late for Christmas, but it was the fourth in the series and I wasn't about to skip it! Things are finally progressing between the love interests, as they overcome their magical life challenges. The bad guy was not who you'd expect, and the book had a great conclusion!
This is a fun series that has roots in the Sweet Tea Witch series. You don't have to read that series to enjoy this series, but I really recommend it. The plot and subplots move quickly, making it hard to put the book down. I can't wait for the next book!
This was a story with lots of typical Christmas quotes and characters. I was a bit disappointed that a character died in a light-hearted Christmas book. Boyles is always a fun read but this book just wasn't my cup of tea.
I absolutely love how everything is coming together and these characters are finding love. Rufus has been one of my favorite characters since the start of the Sweet Tea Witches books and it warms my heart to see him meet his match.
Just so happened to finish this on the hottest day of the year (SO FAR) and it was a delightful read. As always, I guessed who did it and was totally wrong. Another fab tale in the Magical Reno series.
Really a lovely little cozy story, not for those seeking a challenge, more for those in the “curling up on the couch with cocoa and a good book” crowd. I enjoy this series, the little town of Peachwood, and the funny, endearing characters.
FINALLY we get to the romance!!! I was worried John/Rufus would be gone the whole book dealing with things but he makes a quick return. The story in this one was really fun with the whole sucking out the Christmas spirit issue and the play. I just love the general mayhem of the old ladies too.

A quick and fun Christmas themed mystery where Clem and the gang must save the Christmas spirit or everyone will be "bah hamberg"-ing forevermore. We also got to see the aftermath of Rufus getting his memories back, which we've all been waiting for. Another wonderful book in this delightful series.
This is a delightful and cozy read perfect for the holiday season! The characters are incredibly endearing, and there are several crossover characters from other books.
I really enjoyed this story about witches and magic, spells and monsters, love and friendship! I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out!
This was a highly enjoyable read with magic and mystery. These characters are lovable and spunky, the story line is amazing and I can't wait to read more
I find that I am getting irritated with the series. Clem continues to criticize the sheriff for not paying attention. I have yet to see Clem pay attention to the people or situations around her.
