This is a very different 'take' on life and things. I loved how he sees things from a different perspective. Each little story is a gem, and contains some deep truths. A really enjoyable, and possibly -life -changing read. Even though i am not usually a fan of short stories, i would recommend this one to anybody. Fun as well as insightful.
When life seems so down and negative, this book lifted my spirits. Having gone thru a painful separation, the hope offered in this book, was a welcome relief. Thank you Werner for writing this book.
This is a delightful and meaningful collection of stories depicting Christian faith and relationship with God. Waiting on God's answers and his leading.U nique writing style and use of scripture throughout.
Great read, the simplicity of the gospel/ Good News of Jesus Christ presented uniquely. Seeing God's love and constant desire to guide in our daily walk was expressed beautifully.
Very long book divided into shorter scenarios involves a memoir of sorts about the author's journey in faith after enduring a divorce and some hardships. Attempting to maintain his photography business, he puts his life into Christ's hands and follows his calling through Him. All of the short chapters include bible verses as support. Found the book very inspiring while enjoying the differing aspects of the Australian culture. Recommended for anyone who enjoys a book about how Christ changed a person's perspective and life through faith.
Wonderful, faith-building stories of how God has worked in the author's life. God is good and He loves us. We need to trust His goodness and love - even in our difficult times. I liked how each chapter is a short snippet of the author's life and can be read in one sitting. The author definitely has the gift of storytelling.
A story of everyday life with Jesus at the forefront. Encouragement to start the day with Jesus and keep Him close beside you throughout the day. Encouragement to persevere in reading His Word and learning a new Bible verse regularly. To be a light to others.
Werner might seem to be sharing about the smallest or most mundane of victories in his Christian life, but I was still inspired by how he'd still faithfully surrender each day to the Lord and make every effort to be obedient to Him. No dramatic, life-changing testimonies, or heart-breaking struggles of a debilitating ailment to overcome. But isn't accepting Christ life-changing enough? And who's to say that living a life only for Jesus isn't challenging enough? I like that his stories are very grounded in the everyday life many of us live and take for granted.
