As a avid reader, I truly appreciated this magazine and it's unique approach to reading and books. After reading this first addition, I immediately subscribed to it. I look forward to what this magazine has to offer.
Oh Reader, that authentic little magazine, calls out to readers in the most non pretentious of ways. Reading it fills you with a kind of happiness that you experience when walking into a library or a book store!
Actually read issue 011, but that’s not available on Goodreads. I absolutely loved this journal, especially “Finding Purpose Outside of Motherhood Through Books” and “On Not Marrying Our Books”. I was given this subscription as a Christmas gift and can’t wait to get the next edition!
I hope Oh Reader is around for a VERY long time! I enjoyed every minute of reading the beautifully written and honest stories from the writers in this magazine and found the perspective of each writer incredibly inspiring. Oh Reader will make you want to pick your favorite novel back up if you've been in a reading slump. Reading the stories made me feel so grateful and privileged to be a reader and to know what it's like to be so engulfed in the details of a book that it takes a couple of days for reality to sink back in. I highly recommend this magazine for those who love reader/book aesthetic!
I love this magazine. Not so much about books as it is about the art of reading and how books make us feel. The third issue (every 3 months) will be out soon. Oh Reader is a quality magazine whose writers feel like my kindred spirits and express themselves in words that make me feel they live in my head (and heart). The writing also makes me think of other things I had not considered. Please get a subscription so that presses will keep rolling on this literary gem.
It feels difficult to review a magazine meant to appeal to readers. I enjoyed the sections of it I was reading it for; however, the rest of it was not in my interest. The articles I was interested in were amazing and insightful; the others were okay. :)
A magazine about readers? I loved diving into the world of others who love the written word as much as I do. So thankful to my mom for sending this to me overseas!
