Coming Home #2

Come Back To Me

Rate this book
EMMA:
I never expected to see Hot Cop again. He came to my rescue after my piece of crap car broke down on the side of the road. Yeah, my mind had all sorts of dirty thoughts about the dark-haired, green-eyed Roman statue of a man, but I have no time or space for a man in my life. But then he showed up at my work, telling me all of these sweet things, making me feel so... treasured. Part of me wants to get lost in this fantasy, but a bigger part knows I need to back out before my past comes back to destroy us both.

ROMAN:
When I saw the little pixie of a woman cursing and wrestling to roll her window down on her rust-bucket of a car, I knew she was the one for me. My little spitfire. My dandelion. My Emma. She thinks she has a big, scary past, but she doesn't realize that I'm her future. I've been in love with her since the moment I saw her, and my little dandelion isn't going to get away from me. Will I be strong enough to fight the demons she keeps telling me about when the time comes? You better believe it.

COME BACK TO ME is a story about a feisty heroine and her big, burly alpha male protector. We met Emma back in FIGHTING FOR HER STRENGTH. This stand-alone story is her happily ever after! I know I'm not supposed to play favorites, but Emma and Roman are pretty freaking cute. Roman knows just the right things to say to break down Emma's defenses, and Emma knows just how to push all of Roman's buttons. As always, there is plenty of steam, lots of swoon-worthy moments, and a sweet happily ever after.

We are on book 2 in this little series of couples!! This one was more drama and some good steam.

We saw Emma and her guy trouble in the last book which was Harpers story. Now we get Emma's and her story is a doozy, having a troubled past Emma escapes hoping she doesn't have to deal with it ever again but she still has that fear. With a busted car thats how she meets HotCop lol Roman and for him its love at first site he feels the pull even when she panicked about running her licenses. He did a little stalking and their relationship is very hard and fast also few push away from Emma since she doesn't wanna drag Roman into any trouble.
But I gotta say I enjoyed Roman way more then Levi he was more Alpha even if he gave her space he always texted her (even if she ditched her phone to keep everyone safe) Roman never gave up when he was away from Emma.. as for Emma I understood her reason but sometimes I did wanna slap her. And now that she's in deep trouble Roman needs to save his girl.

I was still wondering what happen to Craig dude.

Low angst, No ow drama and tiny om drama, no cheating, Drama, slight secondary character, sexy time, no virgins or manwhore

"I settled for her hand on my chest. When she pulled away, I swear to God she took a piece of me with her."

Another great story in this duo from Cameron Hart. I maybe liked Harper and Levi's story a LITTLE bit more but this was still amazing and on my re-read shelf. Roman was great and the patience he showed Emma was crazy. He knew just what he needed. Where do I find one of him? Pick up both of these books, you won't be disappointed.

Sweet Read

This is book 2 of the Coming Home Series and it focuses on Emma who is Harper’s best friend from Book 1.

Roman a 31 year police detective finds 21 year old Emma broken down on the side of the road. She explains her car is old and she’s taking a break before she drives off but she’s nervy and jumpy and begs him not to run her drivers license. She’s been in hiding for five years and is scared her drug addict mum’s past will catch up with her and if Roman runs her license it’ll lead trouble right to her door. Roman can see straight away something is scaring her so he does as she asks and doesn’t run her drivers license. For Roman it’s instant love, he wants to protect her, she’s the one and he wants to fill her belly with his babies. He affectionately calls her his dandelion which is a strange coincidence that is revealed when they get together. Roman follows up on Emma by running her number plate which in my mind is as risky as running her drivers license. He’s able to find out who she is and he finds her and they instantly begin a hot, steamy sexy relationship.

But Emma’s constantly holding part of herself back and in fear of her life. After only two weeks together she feels she has to run, despite realising she loves Roman she’s too scared to trust him and tell Roman her secrets. Unfortunately her fears come true and she’s caught, held captive and forced to work off her mother’s debts. Eventually Roman tracks her down, saves her and they get their happily ever.

Harper makes an appearance with Levi throughout the book but the times lines didn’t match. Book 1 ends with Harper and Levi’s happily ever after yet in book 2 they’re back in the early stages of their relationship. Book 2 doesn’t flow on from the end of book 1 and the story is very back and forth in the timeline which did confuse me. Another thing I was confused by was Craig, Emma’s mum’s pimp and the reason for Emma’s fear and why she was running. Craig’s been chasing Emma for five years, he finally catches her and puts her to work for him on the streets. Roman rescues her just in the nick of time and saves her from the same fate as her mother. He takes her home and doesn’t leave her side vowing to protect her for the rest of his life. Emma makes a statement to the police and that’s it. We never hear if Craig’s caught and he never tries to track down Emma again. That part of the story just disappeared and doesn’t make sense to me.

It was a quick read for me but there’s no real depth in the story though there is a lot of love. Cameron is a very new author and I congratulate her for following her passion and look forward to reading more of her books. This is one I borrowed and returned in KU and not worth purchasing in my opinion.

❤🌟🔥

Ahh Roman❤🔥 whoa, he was amazing. He was as much alpha as she needed, all in and never giving up. There was no back & forth from him. And then there's Emma... gotta love Emma, she was an amazing friend to Harper in the 1st book and she was a spitfire, but she was frustrating too! I had a difficult time understanding her thought process since she had a detective with connections in love with her. There was no need for her to go through all of that if she had just been honest, but she was also traumatized and scared so not thinking clearly. I'm so glad it all worked out and they got their hea❤ would recommend this story!!

Hot cop and Emma! Meet our H and h. I love both and our H is a real alpha that took our spitfire, small but feisty Emma in his protective arms, and unlike someone we know and hate, *ahem ahem*...Levi, Hot cop ACTUALLY isn't an idiot and cleverly cares for Emma. I love these two and I recommend their story. She is running away from someone and our H that pulled her over understood that when she asked him not to run her plates. He immediately knew that she needed someone to protect her and he was the man for the job!
Both faithful to each other since they met, and no cheating this is safe! (FYI, the first book in the duo is also safe, just that the H is an asshole and an idiot.)

A MUST READ!

First series I read from this author, and I might just be hooked! This particular novel from the series will have ya emotions all over the place. The characters were well developed and relatable. You'll feel the hurt, the pain and the happiness of each character, you'll cry tears of joy. Just an all around beautiful read with an HEA!

I really enjoyed this book except there was this huge event that didn’t get tied up to my satisfaction.

Otherwise, it was a nice love story that has some angst, drama, and suspense.

But if you’re going to add suspense, follow through with all of it so we know there’s no possible issue in the future.

I loved and hated reading this story. I hated the real scary part that dealt with her past coming back to collect. But the rest of the story, I really enjoyed. The fighting for love, fighting to believe you are loveable, worthy of love, scared of not knowing how to love or how to accept being loved. So many emotions ran rampant throughout this story. I loved the epilogues!! Loved them!!

This was a fantastic age gap romance. I loved Emma from the start or actually already from reading “Finding Her Strength” and learning her heartbreaking story just made me love her even more. Roman was just the right fit for her, possessive alpha who loves her sassy ways. Their chemistry was outstanding and I really loved their story.

Has everything, passion, heart, tenderness.

This story brought warm and fuzzies, along with heat. It was a nice trip away from reality into a relationship of pure love and trust. You will not regret reading.

Can I have a Roman please?

A lot of arguments and sexy times, this was a good sequel we got to know what actually happened to Emma and where did she go, I usually don't like to get into the side characters stories but this was too cute and entertaining.

Oh, this one shook me to my core. Things I thought were going to happen, nearly gave me a panic attack. I love how from the first, Roman fought for Emma. Great story and companion to Harper and Levi.

Come Back to Me

Read book 1 but I really enjoyed Emma and Roman's story. There seemed to be a bit more depth in their characters, and the struggles they faced separately and together.

Emma had a rough childhood she had to run away from but she’s been looking over her shoulder ever since and is ready to bolt at any minute. Not an ideal situation to be starting a relationship, but against her best efforts she falls in instalove with Roman.

And he definitely falls in instalove w her too lol:
I want to ask more – where did you grow up, what’s your major, how many kids do you want and when can we start a family?
