Hypothetically

Rate this book
From bestselling author, Dr. Rebecca Sharp, comes a sexy, best friend's father forbidden romance...

Fact: Damien Milanovic was a pharmaceutical superhero, masked with gilded glasses and a starched white cape. Intelligent. Illustrious. Impermissible. He was the chemist who decided that curing cancer-curing death-was worth the price of not living his own life.
Hypothetically, how bad would it be if I had a crush on him?

Fact: I was Lilith Montgomery, the smartest student in my class and the most popular girl in school. All I needed to graduate was to finish this chemistry internship with Dr. Milanovic. What I would learn would be invaluable to my future, but it wasn't the only reason I was there.
Hypothetically, how wrong would it be to use the internship as an opportunity to seduce the cold, captivating chemist?
Fact: Damien Milanovic was also my best friend's father.
Hypothetically, how impossible would it be for us to fall in love?

Rebecca Sharp always loved a good love story. Let's face it, when you include a romance novel on your 8th grade summer reading list just to see if the teacher would notice (she didn't!), she was bound to give writing one of her own a go. There's really no corner of romance that she doesn't (or wouldn't) enjoy writing, except maybe aliens, much to her husband's dismay, so her large catalog features a little something for everyone. However, her love of shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds makes her favorite stories to write the ones with some kind of suspense and crime solving.

When she's not writing, she's at her office treating patients, and somewhere between those two things, you'll find her wandering the globe with her husband always searching for their next adventure.

Hypothetically was an extremely raunchy and forbidden romance between a young woman and a man who should be completely off limits.

"It wasn’t time that passed, but tension.

Back and forth between us, the tug of war between boundaries and desire waged."

Dr Damian Milanovic is one of the very best in his field. On the cusp of having a cure for lung cancer, he spends most of his time in the lab. And if his personal life suffers as a consequence, its punishment he deserves. In his mind it's penance for being married to his job and neglecting his family.

Lilith is Dr Milanovic's daughter's best friend and a permanent fixture in their household. Whilst struggling to contain her unhealthy crush, being granted an internship with Damien is a dream come true.

"I’d never thought about seducing him before. Watching. Yes. Breathing. Yes. Absorbing in that energy that pulsed with such magnetic purpose…
All yes."

Damien isn't blind, although he'd prefers to remain ignorant when it comes to Lilith. This mutual attraction has been manageable until she inhabits his lab and mind.

"Everything about this situation was too close. Her body. Her questions. Her need. It rolled off her in waves—both to heal me… and to fuck me. I shouldn’t want either of them. Instead, I answered because I craved both."

They are like two irresistible forces and once they give into their desires, it raises the many obstacles of being together will create. And it's not pretty.

I have to say I struggled with this one, purely because Damien was insufferable. His selfishness was standout in his quest for cures and his cowardice in handling Lilith's affections were hurtful. In fact both Lilith and his daughter deserved better. Considering he was supposed to be the grown up in this story, it took an 18 year old to sort his shit out?! The writing was good, the sex scenes scorching, the hero, not so much.

Hypothetically was a quick hot forbidden read that will have you fantasizing about what it would be like to be in an all consuming, passionate and addictive attraction that you have no choice, but to indulge despite the consequences.

giphy-78.gif

Falling for your best friend’s dad is a big no no when it comes to the livelihood and whether your friendship will ever be the same again and in most cases, it never will be. Lilith Montgomery had never expected to be put in position like that and now she’s not only faced with the crippling desire to pursue something that she knows will change her life forever and cement her place into the to the world famous and well respected scientist Dr. Damien Milanovic.

I really liked the little glimpses of science that were talked about and seeing Damien and Lilith work together even if it was for a short period of time. We saw the desire that they had for each other and we definitely felt the passion but I somehow still wanted to see more. I wanted to see more of the aftermath of certain things and how that not only impacted their own lives, but others as well.

Now if you’re looking for a quick steamy forbidden read, this is without a doubt your book. These characters will leave you wanting more and more and MORE!! Think you can handle it?

okayyy this is so sexy i don't even have words to describe 😻😌

Hypothetically is a story of Lilith and her best friend's dad - Damien/Dr Milanovic. Damien is pretty much an asshole throughout the story but that's partly due to his failed marriage and the fear of disappointing his daughter. He practically lives in the lab and shuts off his emotions. However, Lilith manages to see through his act. and if i'm not wrong, shes the one that made the first move.
These two are combustible. The build up was crazy with all those sexual tension, wondering when will Damien finally give in. Off limits? That doesn't stop him from fantasizing about Lilith.

I loved how the author makes reference to scientific formulas/equations describing their state of mind. It's unique but accurate at the same time!

"All it took was one reaction. Unstoppable. Explosive. Turning the hypothetical into the actual."
5 stars!

The fact that Troy's dad can come back early from his beloved job to be a pervert and lust after Lilith but he couldn't come back early for his daughter who literally did everything she could to make him proud is just disgusting. Ungrateful bastard. And Lilith is a selfish bitch. Troy deserved better than these crappy people as her best friend and father. Selfish dicks.

I went into this only reading the fall of troy (I dnf’d the sequel) and I remember having such a visceral reaction to troy’s father’s relationship with her best friend. not only is that such a betrayal but the fact that this man has never given a FUCK about troy to then fall in love with her friend... I would kill my dad. I really would. you don’t care about me enough to come home for fucking dinner and spend time with me but you sure as hell notice my hottie best friend huh? fuck outta here.

Hypothetically by Dr Rebecca Sharp is a spin-off to Odyssey duet. This is a duet you want to get on board with. It’s forbidden to a fault and that is just what I love about them. Who doesn’t love wanting, needing and loving things that you shouldn’t but want to have because it’s so wrong, taboo and can hurt people in process.

I for one, say F U to that and just go for it. Your heart wants what it desires. Going into this book, I knew it was short but I didn’t expect it to be that short. With saying that, it was perfect because it gave me an escape, an escape to this world that I just loved.

This book flew by and I was captivated by everything that was happening. This was such a hot, emotional, forbidden and steamy read that it left me wanting more.

What do you do when you’ve fell head over heels in love with you’re best friends dad? Well that is for you to read and find out about hunny.

Learning about this copy in the odyssey duet, I was sort of hoping secretly that this author would give us these two a book. This book for those of you that have read that series we get the behind the scenes in these two eyes, boy was I not prepared for their chemistry and connection they had. He was a man who deserved to be loved but didn’t allow himself to.

Then came in this girl and she rocked him to his core. Tempting him all the time, it was only time before these two would react together in a way that makes these two connect on so many levels. They have become each other’s obsession.

These two together were fire, they were each other’s DNA, they are hot, steamy and down right dirty in the best way possible. I just love them so much and I need more of them.

If you want a read that’s gives you some of the feels, that will feel you warm inside and hot and bothered, then this book is for you.

Overall Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

When I started reading this I soon realised that this story had a connection to ‘The Fall of Troy’, which is one of my favourite age gap reads ever! It’s Troian’s dad and her best friend, Lilith and I couldn’t wait to see what Sharp had in store of us.

We start with Lilith lusting over her best friends dad, Damien, and coming up with a plan to spend one on one time with him. He is a brilliant scientist and she is looking to intern for him, by going through her best friend, Troian, she knows he won’t say no to her and so begins her seduction to make him hers.

It ain’t all one sided and as much as Damien has been trying to keep himself under control, the seduction that Lilith puts on him has him unable to stop what is inevitably going to happen.

This read was short and hot, fast paced and was just what I was needing and I love Rebecca’s words. Lilith knew what she wanted and went for it with all confidence, which I loved and Damien is all alpha, super hot and brought all the sexy moves!

If you looking for something quick and steamy that throws in a good storyline then this is the read for you!

You don’t need to have read ‘The Fall of Troy’ to enjoy this novella, but I do recommend reading it. It’s beautifully written, full of angst and the building sexual tension between Troian and Leo will keep you hooked on their forbidden romance.

ARC received for an honest review.

Whew. This was HOT. The chemistry (ha) between Damian and Lilith was off the charts and even though their relationship was forbidden and taboo they could not hold back or be denied. I live for stories like that. This was a quick, spicy novella that is a prequel to a story that I will FOR SURE be picking up soon. I volunteered to read an review an early copy. All thought and opinions are my own.

Hypothetically is a spin-off novella from her Odyssey Duet and this little book packs a punch! Age-gap, forbidden romance, AND written by Rebecca Sharp? Hell to the yes! I loved Lilith Montgomery and Dr. Damien Milanovic were fire! These two had chemistry that threatened to set my kindle ablaze! Just, whoa! The steam factor was set a maximum capacity, sure, but the connection between these two characters was so much more than that. I loved watching them come together and experiencing the myriad of emotions along with them. I need more. 5 stars.

Damien and Lilith are taboo and forbidden but love knows no bounds! What started as infatuation, lead to lust but blossomed to more!

I loved the chemistry between these two! Their desire couldn’t be denied and what made it beautiful is that they shared this deep connection! This intense novella should not be missed and is a definite must read especially if you need a read for the cold fall nights!

I honestly don't even really know how to begin this review. I have SO many thoughts, so many feelings, and just SO much to say.....but I don't want to say too much.
Hypothetically by Dr. Rebecca Sharp is an absolutely PERFECT read. It may be short, but it carries everything that a regularly sized novel does. &I also love the fact that it can function as a standalone, but ALSO provides lovers of her Odyssey Duet, a look at the relationship that broke Troy.

&TBH, Once I realized that Damien is Troian's father, and that this is his and Lilith's story, I was a little apprehensive. I had set feelings for these two characters, because of Troy's story.
But, I am SO thankful that I pushed those feelings aside and gave the story the chance it deserves.
Rebecca can SERIOUSLY rock a forbidden/taboo romance. She could write in that trope 24/7, and I would NEVER get tired of reading her books, and I hope to see even more of this trope from her in the future.

Hypothetically focuses on the forbidden relationship between Lilith, and her dark, broody, stern faced, DIRTY TALKIN', Best Friend's Father, Damien Milanovic.
Damien is an accomplished chemist, and Lilith carries a similar interest, right along with her best friend Troian.
Lilith's want to look at her feelings for Damien as a sort of experiment. She says that she wants to learn what it is that is causing the attraction to her best friends father, but underneath it all....its obvious that she wants to do a lot more than just experimenting from a comfortable distance...she wants to be all up in Dr. Milanovic's personal space....and apparently he wants the same.
Needing an internship to finish up the school year and graduate, Lilith interns right along side Damien...and well. Things heat up, in MANY ways.
But, there is SO much more to these characters, the way they interact, the deep meaningful words they speak, their deeper feelings.

It is a moving read, and if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!
If you loved the Odyssey Duet, you NEED to read Lilith and Damien's story. &While I was unsure as to how I would feel about their story.....it was so much more than amazing, and made me see and better understand exactly what went down behind the scenes in the Odyssey Duet.
&It is so great to be back in that world again. I would LOVE a novella of Troy & Leo now, as parents and husband and wife. With Lilith & Damien in it as well.

But anyway, back to Hypothetically....GET IT. Get ALLLL up on this book. Even if you haven't read the Odyssey Duet, it works perfectly as a standalone. Just snatch it up, and enjoy the forbidden/taboo romance, with an unexpected broody alpha hero, with a mouth that will have your kindle on fire!

This SMOKING HOT novella wastes zero time getting right down to business. If that's what you're in it for, then you're going to love the forbidden, tense dynamic of this quick and dirty read. The writing style feels intelligent and sexy and filled with all kinds of (unfulfilled) potential, but if you're looking for a little bit more than steam (like I was), you'll be left disappointed. Things escalate at a rapid pace, feel downright creepy at times, and the aggressive pursuit took the potential for love right out of it. I very much enjoyed getting to know this author's writing style a little better - and will likely be back for more - but don't go into this one for more than forbidden steam.

This short and sexy novella follows Damien, a divorced scientist who has buried himself in work while avoiding his feelings. He hasn't been the best dad to his teenage daughter, wasn't a great husband to his now ex-wife, and knows he'd be no good for the girl he lusts after - his daughter's best friend, Lilith. When Lilith approaches him about starting an internship, Damien knows it isn't a good idea, but there's no stopping the chemistry between them. It's not long before they give into the temptation, and it's up to Damien and Lilith to figure out what to do next.

Let me start by saying that I really liked the author's writing style. It feels smart, and interesting, and oh so different. Even in such a short, steam-focused read, there was some solid character development and emotion. But in order to root for a forbidden relationship, I have to feel like the struggle is worth it. We're really only shown the lusty side of things, and the relationship development is almost non-existent. I had anticipated this being a college student/professor-type relationship, but Lilith is actually a high school senior, and that felt a whole lot creepier to me. Add in the seriously aggressive pursuit that followed, and I had trouble feeling the connection. So while it's smoking hot and a quick, devourable read, I was left with a lack of emotional investment. I received an early copy via Wildfire Marketing and am voluntarily leaving a review of this steamy novella.

Call the ambulance. Call the fire brigade. Rebecca Sharp has set my heart, soul and body on FIRE in Hypothetically. She has left me wounded and breathless. What an amazing forbidden romance with epic heat, intense angst and all the beautiful emotions!

Lilith Montgomery should not be attracted to her best friend Troy's father Dr. Damien Milanovic. But she is and she has to take her chances. So she is going to explore the chemistry and force the reaction. Damien knows this experiment is all kinds of wrong. And he tries his best to push away his newest intern and to concentrate fully in his research about cancer curing drugs. But the pull is to hard to resist.

This story is dirty and filthy and absolutely sinful. The age gap. The taboo situation. The forbidden thrill and excitement. Everything. Oh wow Damien was just too much hot. Like I cannot handle his dirty talks, brooding tortured personality and jaw dropping gorgeousness. To add fuel to the fire, he is so deliciously alpha and dominating! Lilith is perfectly balanced with bold sassiness and age appropriate vulnerability and doubts. The hero of the story is the chemistry. Rebecca Sharp is so brilliant and amazing with this kind of angsty steamy stories. I cannot get enough. There will be enough heartache and heartbreak to give this nuclear hot story the required depth and intensity.

There is nothing hypothetical about this sinful and debauched and heartfelt love story by Rebecca Sharp. Hypothetically is indeed very sucessful attack on my heart.

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

I have been waiting for this story since I read the prologue of The Fall of Troy over a year ago.

The two are interconnected but can be read without each other.

Hypothetically is Damien Milanovic and Lillith Montgomery's story. The chemists. The geniuses. Their relationship is definitely taboo and a little forbidden, so if that's your jam, then you need to read this novella!

Without giving two much away, I will say that these two are combustible together! So hot 🔥 You wouldn't think it since they're both chemistry nerds of the highest degree but in true Sharp fashion, she used it to her advantage and it worked. Very well.

I absolutely love this author's writing style, so classy and sharp but still fun and modern. The only reason I'm rating this novella 4 stars and not 5 is because I've been waiting for it for forever and it's just a novella, not the full length novel I've been jonesing for, for so long. Not entirely fair, I know. To anyone who hasn't met these characters yet either from TFoT, it's a little bit of the insta-love kinda thing. Or at least, insta-infatuation. Because believe me, these two are very infatuated with each other. Other than that, I did really enjoy it and the story. It was nice to see Troy again after so long too. Highly recommend both this novella and The Odyssey Duet. Can't wait for more from this author!

Oh My holy hotness. This was extremely naughty!! Ms. Sharp has given us a delicious forbidden romance that you can really sink your teeth into. Lilith Montgomery and Damien Milanovic are here to bring on the heat.
He is my best friends father, married to his work and on the cusp of discovering a cure for lung cancer. I am at the top of my class. I have the world at my finger tips and can have it all ...I want him.
This was a novella that is not short on the sizzle or intense attraction. They know that they shouldn't be together, it is not right in the eye of the world but they also know they can't be there best apart. Damien has been existing for his daughter and his work. Once she inserts herself into his world he feels alive again and not only for his work but for himself. Can this age gap forbidden romance survive once they give in?? One click and find out!!

"Hypothetically? ... Completely."

Hypothetically was a really naughty, steamy and incredibly delicious. It was a great short read, and I loved it!

Lilith and Damien's story was a gripping read. Forbidden, naughty and firey. I was intrigued by their story from when I read 'The Fall of Troy', so seeing their story and feeling their chemistry gave so much more to it.

I adored Lilith. Sweet and smart, but also very determined. Good qualities in a woman. I loved how strong she was and how she stood up for herself and fought for her and Damien. Such tenacity, such strength.

And Damien. Brooding, Intelligent and sexy Damien. His personality somehow fit and clashed with Lilith, and I loved their chemistry. Seeing him change was incredible and I fell in love with his brooding character more.

Overall, Hypothetically was a good insight into Lilith's and Damien's relationship. It was a piece of delicious forbidden delight with angst mixed in. Incredible read!

Damien’s success in the chemistry lab far outweighs his success when it comes to his personal relationships and he is the first to acknowledge this fact. Working with his daughter’s best friend will be a test of his control but being that it is wrong on so many levels he can deny his attraction for her, can’t he?

Lilith has been attracted to Damien for a while and while working with him is an experience she doesn’t want to miss that isn’t the only experience she wants with him and she isn’t about to back down.

Lilith is fun and feisty which is exactly what Damien needs in his life. The chemistry between them is electric but that is only part of the reason that makes them perfect for each other.

Hypothetically by Rebecca Sharp

5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well.... This was so unexpected, but so so good. It was my first read from Rebecca Sharp and I was impressed. Definitely won't be my last.

Hipothetically is the spin - off to Odyssey, wich I didn't knew and didn't read. It was taboo, a forbidden romance and age gap wich I truly loved.

I didn't expect to be that short. I didn't knew when it ended because I was so drawn in it, so captivated. Hot and steamy..... Oh God.....

So if you are looking for something hot, steamy, easy, fast, captivating, taboo, age gap, and forbidden romance, this book IS FOR YOU.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

Well Hell I really Don't know what to say ,I am rendered speechless.
Rebecca sharp always seems to do that to me,one thing is for sure she has completely Aced the forbidden trope....creating a short but sexy story that is packed full of emotion and hotness, there is so much content withing these pages that it will completely captivate you.
An age gap romance between Damien and Lilith who fall in Love unexpectedly and unconventionally, because the circumstances are not ideal as Damien is Lilith's best friends Dad,which as you can only imagine causes all sorts of problems.
But their attraction and magnetic pull towards eachother is something even chemistry can't explain and they begin a torrid steamy affair.
I Loved Damien and Lilith,
I thoroughly enjoyed reading their romance it was quite the ride.
Everyone who enjoys taboo Romances will relish Hypothetically ,it has all the ingredients that makes a first class enchanting and sexy story.

I have been curious about how Lilith and Damien's relationship came about ever since I read Troy's story. But I don't necessarily want a full-length book and this is just perfect. It's the perfect length to know what had really happened between them. It is a quick, hot and angtsy read.
