Shifter's Control
A wolf born shifter always close to his animal. A single mother struggling to juggle everything to raise her daughter the best way she can. A secret wish for a prince charming to sweep her off her feet and fix all her troubles.
When Zeus overhears Lori’s plight at the ice cream shop, he pays her bill without her knowing it had been him. When they meet unexpectedly, his wolf had been acting up and as soon as he was in her company, he felt calmed. Sparks flew between them in spite of the fact that her daughter was with them.
They meet for coffee and Zeus decides he has to be honest about who he is. As soon as Lori finds out this handsome Samaritan is a werewolf, she backs away. She can’t be with a werewolf, she has a child that she needs to protect and things are bad enough already.
Being rebuffed sets Zeus off into a tailspin. The team is between missions and he has far too much time on his hands. Before he realizes what he’s doing, he goes to the one place he feels calm… Lori and Kenzie’s home. He needs to be in their presence.
He looks terrible and Lori lets him in. She worries it’s the wrong thing, but she can’t turn him away. He relaxes immediately in her presence. They admit there’s something between them, but it still can’t happen. They’re too different.
Zeus knows he’s not going to keep it together and he tries to shield the woman he loves from the ugliness of his wolf but he can’t. He longs for a relationship with Lori and with Kenzie, too.
After several starts and stops, through separations when Zeus was on a mission, there seems to be no chance. But can the love of a child be the bond to make these two adults figure out how to come together to be the family that Kenzie needs?

This is the second book I have read by Sammie Joyce and I really must admit it was great to read a paranormal romance that was rather fast paced and full of the questions both characters feel they should be considering what is best for themselves rather than allowing themselves to consider what really should never be.
Zeus is amazed that he is having such an extreme reaction to Lori, why she is able to keep both himself and his wolf safe and settled is beyond his understanding. Lori is human, a single mum who puts herself outside of trying to have fun, her daughter is her only priority, so why is she so tempted by this tantalising man.
A great synopsis of looking at the story from a somewhat unconventional perspective, it really looks as though no matter how each try to deal with what they are facing life keeps giving them curve balls will they ever consider taking the step required.
A great read and I highly recommend anyone who loves the genre paranormal to grab a copy of this book immediately.

Zeus has been having problems with keeping his wolf under control. The only time he calms down is when he is around the single mom, Lori, and her 7-year-old daughter, Kenzie. For some reason, their presences settles his wolf.
But Lori is human, so Zeus decides to be honest and tell her that he is a shifter. Lori is frightened of that fact, and protective of her daughter. So she breaks off their relationship. The rejection doesn’t go well for Zeus until he finally has to see her again. Even when he is off on missions with his team, he and Lori cannot sustain a relationship because of her fears. Is there any way to make her see how he feels about her and Kenzie? Can he make her believe in them as a family and that she can always trust him?
This is a good story line with likable characters. Grab your copy and see if there is any hope for Zeus to convince Lori he needs them to be a family and he will protect them with his life.

This sends his wolf into a tail spin that not even been on missions can help and eventually he has to return to her to get some calm. I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Zeus is having trouble controlling himself. He is special ops and cannot be losing control of his wolf. Yet when he meets Lori, everything settles inside. The problem is that Lori is a human and has a young daughter. Lori feels the attraction to Zeus, but she is a mother first. When he confesses his shifter abilities, she frightens and decides she must protect her daughter. Her rejection does not go over very well and things get rough for him. For all their chemistry and attraction he cannot convince Lori to give him a chance to protect, care for and love her and Kenzie. It takes the innocence of a child to bring these two back together. I enjoyed the characters and the writing in this book

Zeus is a werewolf in a black ops group. Lori and her daughter Kenzie are alone and she is overworked, trying to keep ahead of the bills. His wolf is almost out of control when he meets them and they calm him down. His twin and the rest of the group knows he is out of control and need to help him through it. The characters are terrific and so intense with emotions. The suspense of what else will happen when he tells Lori of his makeup and what the group is going to do to him, keeps the pages turning. Zeus to totally committed to Lori and Kenzie and after much turmoil, they may have a chance. The ending, with the note and explanation, was so good. Great book and plan to reread it again soon.

Ok, I think this was a good book. I don't like the fact that it does end on a cliffhanger, but I digress. The characters are well written and the world building was very visual. The writing was fluid and the characters captivating. I liked the characters but I had a hard time connecting with Lori. I found her to be a bit immature but she did redeem herself by the cliffy end. I was a bit confused with Zeus and the dynamics with his brother, I hope that it will be spelled out in the next book. All in all it was a good story and I am all in and waiting for the next book.

Well this is the second in his series and I have to say that Sammie has given us more characters to fall in love with. The fact that the main is named Zeus has to mean something. Well he is a protector for sure. He wants more than anything to take care of Lori and Kenzie. They calm his wolf down when his wolf is acting up. this story has drama, sadness, heartfelt, love, fighting, protection, military comradery, so if you are looking for a good shifter story you will enjoy this for sure.

Shifter's Control is the second book in this series and a new author to me. It was an good read that had some humor and then there is the confusing and frustrating parts with the characters of Zeus and Lori. Why didn't Zeus talk to his twin brother about his problem earlier, instead of ignoring him? Why was Lori so weak? Her daughter Kenzie was stronger and more grown-up than her. Anyway, the storyline was very good and it did end with a cliffhanger.

This Book 2 in the Wolf Pack Special Ops Elite Series is a exceptionally well-written Shifter Romance that has great characters that have depth and chemistry. These characters are well crafted with good histories. This book is part of a series, but can be read alone. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Must read shifter story. There is action, adventure, twists and romance.

Shifter's Control by Sammie Joyce is such an awesome story that I have read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading since the beginning. I can not wait to read the rest of this awesome series cause I am so hooked on it. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, fantasy and paranormal romance.

I liked the story line but was not too fond of the characters. For being a twin, Zeus is having too much of a hard time communicating his twin with his troubles. Lori has trust issues because of her ex and because of rumors about shifters. Can he convince her to give their relationship a chance while dealing with some personal issues?

She is a single mom with a precocious daughter whose father walked out before she was born. Mom works double and triple shifts, still not making enough money for extras. So,they are in an ice cream shop when Zeus first sees them when Kinzie breaks a glass dish and the teen manager bills $50 for it. Lori does not have the money, so he threatens to call the police. Zeus pays for it and things progress from there.

I enjoyed this book. This is the second book in this Wolf pack Special Ops Elite series. It was just as good as the previous one. The story will hold your attention, the story if full of action, steamy chemistry, drama, enjoyable characters. Looking forward to the next one in this series.

The author has given us characters we can care about. Zeus is having trouble controlling his wolf, but when he meets Lori and Kenzie, they are able to calm him. As he deals with his issues, Lori is trying to deal with her fear of shifters. Hopefully they will be able to come together and be a family.

I liked this. It was pretty 'mellow' compared to my normal shifter reads, but still good.
Quick read with a cute ending. Perfect for when having book withdrawals and in need of something to ease that itch for a book.

Sammie Joyce is a new author for me. Shifter Control was a great book. It kept my interest throughout, which is hard for me once you lose my interest. I definitely have to go back and check out her books.

Wolf shifter Zeus is instantly attracted to Lori when they meet. She likes him also. But when she finds out that he is a shifter she is afraid. Zeus has his work cut out for him. Enjoyable clean romance.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

I loved this storyline, it was sweet and romantic with amazing characters. I loved young Kenzies attitude and sass and maturity. I hope this is a series because I can't wait to see what happens with the rest on the characters

Enjoyed.
I enjoyed this story and I really liked the characters. Kind Zeuses twin is the exception, I didn't like him before and after he scared Lori. All issues were solved and explained in one paragraph. I found it jumped around a bit hence the 3 stars.

Captivating series
