At long last, I’ve unlocked the shackles that held back my awakening. I should be celebrating, but it turns out I’ve only endangered myself and my forbidden fruit.
It's the eve of the biggest business deal NYC has ever witnessed, and I, Willow De Luca, am kicking foreign ass with my new Christian Dior heels. Now that I’m a wolf shifter, I find myself in four new roles:
CEO. Wolf Alpha. Princess. Royal Mate.
I'm finally free to walk boldly as a woman in a man's world, but I'm not giving up on my male persona just yet. My alias, William De Luca, has a new position in my company, and that involves sealing a contract my Papa Dearest can't refuse.
With enemies around the globe recognizing my true identity and hidden past, I'm thrust into a world of power-hungry savages, but I'm not the slightest bit worried about what's to come. We may become an endangered pack, but if I add Dimitris, Neo, Saint, Jayce, or Onyx into the equation, things will become delightfully bloody.
The stakes are high — just the way I like them — but as a part of the Forbidden, it's time to show the world exactly how much of a De Luca I really am.
WIllow/Wiliam is back and ready to take NYC by storm once again. Now having the one thing she wanted to fit in. Willow can do anything she thinks. Yet there the past and the insecurities of those who don't want her to succeed. In this second book whilst Willow is discovering her self. We find her in danger. This book weaves through a lot of things and some are surprising.
This second book packs a punch and I can't wait to read more
The twist and turns that keep getting thrown in that I would have never guessed. It’s crazy how complex this book is. I absolutely love NEO he is my all time favorite of the guys with his care free personality that borderlines deadly. I am super excited for the next one. Oct needs to come quicker!
Woah 😧, that was freaking fantastic! It was a really long read, I feel like I just read three books, but it was a seriously fantastic read. Because I’m writing this at 8am I’m going to refer to Willow/Willam as Willam or he for this review. Let’s take about how utterly epic these characters are. Willam, who is the one of the best characters ever, is so freaking hilarious without even trying, magically stronger than any of them could fathom, is a complete ninja when it come to fighting, and has so much love and compassion to give and has been through so much her whole life that she has a really hard time coping things at times. I knew in book one that Aurelia was also going to be one of my favorites, she’s definitely the definition of a ride or die. You can tell she was hurt in her past and I very much look forward to her finding love, she needs and deserves it. I also absolutely love these hunky harem characters as well, they are all very different, definitely deadly, completely badass and extremely in love with him, in all his many shapes and forms. Neo/Nico being my favorite, I have a thing for psychopaths and he definitely is one, yum. But beyond all of that, this storyline is freaking epic! Of course there is the yet to be revealed bad guy, sending out her minions to wreak havoc, but there is also the unknown mother trying to connect with her child, the strong lead trying to find himself and his place in world and the all the craziness in between. I very much look forward to the next book and can’t wait to find out what Avery Song has in store for these characters and where this storyline will continue to. I highly recommend this read!
wooow what a ride, i did a lil recap of the first book cuz it was such a long time i read it and then i dived into this gem. I loooved this book all characters and the story, our main character that can switch gender which is a first time for me reading in a book. ( i have read it before in manga) i found it interesting and that the guys was not caring for what gender Willow/William was. Buuut that ending.... noooo Avery left me in a biiig cliffhanger!! I need the next book
These books are so riddled with problems and offensive content.
There’s a brief mention about her relationship with Aurelia, and specifically mentioning that one of them was the “male” in the relationship. Same sex relationships shouldn’t be treated like hetero relationships, it’s perpetrating the idea the heteronormative couples are the default.
Willow makes a speech in her second book about her gender switching, and it’s supposed to be super progressive speech about being a woman in a mans world and gender not defining a persons worth. However, in a previous scene, Willow makes fun of Elizabeth in exactly the same way she’s trying to make a point against. Willow sees a photo of Dimitris and Elizabeth before her transition, and laughs and acts like she’s got some major dirt on her. I can’t remember it exactly, but there’s also another scene where Willow confronts Elizabeth with this information. And Dimitris continues to use her dead name (Elliott).
Disappointing to see barely anyone pointing these things out and calling them out. I tried speaking to the author to address the problems but was left on seen, and pretty sure made a post about rude readers (me??) so yeah. Don’t read these. The author is also unwilling to listen to any criticism.
This book has some great potential but there are some massive issues. There is some racist language (see highlights) that was really disappointing to read and I imagine would be painful for someone of color to read.
I think someone from the LGBTQIA+ community would be an important perspective about Willow/William because while magical there’s something that feels off about it to me in my opinion (though it is a cisgender opinion). It feels transphobic in the way it explores gender (including dead names and making fun of someone who transitioned).
There are some editorial issues such as typos but also storylines being dropped or repeated. For example, a character’s backstory is repeated a few times and conversations are repeated from the previous book. Overall, this book (and whole series) really, really needs a sensitivity reader and editor.
First of all, I have no idea how it went from straight to gay relationship. I wish the description was more clear on this because don't read gay books, It's just not my style. Second of all, why is the main character always asleep? I feel like the majority of this book is about her being sleeping, I might as well read the sleeping beauty. Oh and I'm so confused with her relationship with Neo? I feel their relationship is lacking romance. Honestly, I'm just really disappointed with this book, I was so looking forward to the second book, that I bought it ahead of time. Now I wish I could get a refund for this.
My jaw is STILL on the floor after finishing this EPIC read!!!! Firstly if you haven't read book one yet, RUN...don't walk to reading that first!! This is NOT a standalone read, and trust me you WANT to read both of these gems!!! If I could've given more than 5⭐, I would!!!! Avery Song just continues to release books that grab hold of your spirit, heart and soul. I have yet to read a book by her that isn't brilliant.
Willow and her guys are attacked on all fronts by the Vile Queen and other mysterious enemies. Slowly but surely we see our feisty gal grow from each encounter. Bit by bit truths are uncovered, pieces start to fit, bonds are strengthened, and new friendships made. There are definitely major surprises along the way, and lots of steamy moments too....This is a quest for the ages as its quite obvious Willow (and her guys) are meant for something special. Is Mother Moon pulling their strings, or someone(s) else?
This book definitely packs a punch, and takes you on one amazing journey. However be warned there *is* a whopper of a cliffhanger. This book is truly like a warm hug for the soul. It's deliciously long, and you'll be cheering on your faves all throughout. The world building is detailed and rich, and oh so satisfying!!! These characters all have a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to see what happens next in this wonderful adventure!!! Bring on book three 😍
The problem with waiting so long between books, especially complicated ones, is trying to recall the details of the previous book while starting the next one. I actually had to go and reread the end of the previous book to refresh and get it straight in my head. I also went and checked my review for book 1 to see if that would help. It would be useful for authors to include a summary of the previous book, but I digress. I'm happy to say that I really enjoyed this book. Book 1 was good, and oh so unique, but it had a terrible problem of containing word vomit which was incredibly frustrating. While this book was also a very long book, it was written so much better in that the story kept moving and felt better paced. It was also good that we were able to get to know all the MMCs much better, and we got to meet some new MMCs as well, who I'm sure we'll get to know much better in the next book. Unfortunately that's in October lol. There were a few typos here and there, but not bad enough to interfere with the story telling. Of course Aurelia's book is due for release in the not too far future, and I'm really looking forward to that as well. I have an inkling that Aurelia's story will be overlapping with this book somewhat.
This was a great follow on from first booked Wolf Awakened. I was gripped from the start and really enjoyed how relationships are becoming deeper, slowly learning the individual stories behind each of the Forbidden makes you fall in love with them a little more and understand some of their strange characteristics. New members joining the pack will be interesting to see their roles and see how they fit in and develop.
I did notice that word 'Ya' was used a lot and wasn't sure if this is meant to be a accent or whether this is just a version of 'Yeah'. It was used a couple of times in the first book but seemed to be constant in this book from all characters. I didn't like it much but this is just my personal preference.
The book was emotional and i really got invested in Willows feelings towards herself and her insecurities. I shed a tear or two with some of the instances of self reflection from Willow and also the intense feelings coming from other members of the pack towards her. Although there is constant humour and she remains feisty and strong willed throughout. I am curious to see how this all comes together at the end.
Overall a really good read that will leave you eager for the next instalment of Willow and her Forbidden.
Avery Song out did her self with Wolf Endangered. Even with the size of this book I could not tell how long it really was because of all action and romance compact in this story. The story picks right up from the first book and from there it just doesn’t stop. What i enjoyed a lot in this book is character building for the guys Willow involved with. Which made me cheer for there relationship with Willow/William. One thing I can say is Willow and Neo are the cutest couple and my favorite couple personally. There are triggers in this book for mental health issues big time, so if that bothers you just be warned it’s a reoccurring issue in this book. I am looking forward for the next book especially because of the way this book ended. Over all I really loved this book and there so much I want to talk about but if I did I’ll spoil the story so I’ll keeping it short. I cannot wait to see what the Forbidden Pack will be up to in the next because one thing I do know is no mess with the Forbidden and lives long.
Welcome back into the enjoyable and action packed world of Willow/William De Luca, where the Dreams you thought were out of your reach are suddenly all within your reach.
But as all the wise ones tell us, be careful what you ask for! This is exactly what Willow/William is dealing with now. Willow has finally reached the goal she thought she would never be able to accomplish and that in turn has started a domino affect on the rest of her life! People are betraying her Forbidden Pack, it seems like every day there is a new death threat to avoid, when does a girl get a chance to just enjoy her men?
Never fear, in between the chaos and the bombs, there is serious heat going on for Willow!
If you long for a book that has all the feels, then this is the book for you! This book will speed you into the next stratosphere! I laughed and I ugly cried, and I fanned myself at certain points!
One click this book right now! This is one you won’t want to miss.
Normally I don’t read bigger books, I’m one of those fast readers who usually finishes a book in half the time of the “average reading time” suggested in kindle and like to read under 300 pages/book. However Avery Song will always be my exception, because her books are always packed with such amazing characters, world building, storylines, plots, plot twists and deep and meaningful connections and growth and are always totally unexpected and jam packed with so much detail. This book definitely was all of the above! I love Willow, and all of her guys and her bestie Aurelia, for all of the reasons listed above and so much more. There was so much in this book I can’t even decide what to pinpoint in this review out with all of the aforementioned reasons to read anything by this author. Willows character and relationship(s) development is hauntingly beautiful, all of the guys so beautifully damaged, her irreplaceable friendship with Aurelia and so many twists and turns and revelations. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and for Aurelia’s series!
This was pretty good sequel. There was a repeated section that needed editing in chapter 17. I was getting a bit frustrated with more and more mysteries with no sign of answers or the answers needed decoding to be answered I was almost close to just closing the book and being done with it. By the end some mysteries were answered and I still want more. I’m hoping more answers will be given in the next book. I don’t think any more mysteries should be added. I felt really connected to this story. The characters are feeling pulled in all directions and I could really felt that personally too. I was mad that they weren’t getting a break to just settle. I hope that they can get atleast 2 wks to rest and figure some stuff out in the beginning of the next book. All in all please go read.
Wow, this book is not for the faint of heart!! This sucker is HUGE, I mean just pack full of story. I was worried with how long it was that we would get sucked into repetitive storyline or long winded backstories but nope, we have an awesome ride where we learn so much more about each character and what makes them special to the supernatural world. I love that each one of the guys has a unique backstory and are different types of wolves with special abilities. I can't wait to see Willow get closer to each of the guys, especially Jayce and Dimitris, as they are kinda the lone wolves out right now after everything that happened during this book. I can't wait to read the next book to see what is in store for this group next!!
I don’t know why i am so surprised by how much I liked this book. This installment picked up right around where the first book left off and yeah it was dark and sometimes depressing to read. But it was also funny, sweet and made me feel happy. The guys surprised me in this one. We finally get to know a little bit more about them and their backstory. I think it is so appropriate that this book came out in april when the full moon this month is called the pink moon. I don’t wanna give out spoilers but it’s mentioned and made me smile. So I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to the next one and I am really looking forward to Aurelia’s book as well, I think it comes out later in the month If I’m not mistaken.
Woah! This book had SOOO much to unpack and it was totally worth the wait and loss of sleep. Lol. Finding out more about each of the guys’ pasts, including Victor’s!) and some of their powers was pretty awesome. I think Neo’s might just be my personal favorite though. I might be a tad crazy based on that though. Lol. We meet a couple of more allies during the journeys in this book, some who maaaaaaay be come/have become Forbidden pack members. (; We FINALLY learn (kind of) who’s been behind the threats and attacks on Willow and wow, she’s definitely gonna learn she doesn’t have the upper hand anymore. *cackles* I’m SO happy Willow will finally get to meet her mom and hopefully spend some time with Ruby next book! I can’t wait for Wolf Outcasted!!! Eep!!!
I'm just gonna say it; this book is a mess. Milo said he was 3rd or 4th generation 'hood' and that read as truth, then like 5 pages later his entire backstory changed. He also went from weakest link to super powered special in the same space of time.
It also felt like there was a lot of the author telling us, then we go through it all over again as character told Willow/William/Willa.
3 stars is my default for well written or polished books, even if they aren't to my personal taste but in reality, I'd put this one at a 2 as it felt like it really needed another round of editing compared to the other books so far.
The 3 is because I know a lot of reverse harem/why choose readers pass on any m/m or f/f and I really want to support any work with gender fluidity, bisexuality and M/M.
Willow's second book is a while lot of story, action, romance, and steam. As we get to learn more about the members of the Forbidden Pack, the connections grow deeper, and the hidden plot is slowly, and expertly, revealed. There are so many twists and turns that will make your head spin, while the acceptance and loyalty show by all members of the pack is inspiring. As Willow grows in power and is constantly targeted because of it, the action sequences are exciting and intense. The ending completely knocked me off my feet, and in now way did I see it coming. I'm so excited for what comes next in her fantastic tale!
Book two is a thick one and still leaves you excited for more. Willow continues to come into her powers and figuring out her place in the world and her pack. Along with the many twists and turns you will meet some new characters that you know you are going to love and meet old ones that just won't go away. Just when you think you know something, BOOM, it changes. I love ALL her men! The Forbidden Pack has so many secrets that you will just be turning the page waiting for the next one. I probably have twice as many questions now then I did before I read the book.
The emotional rollercoaster in this book, woo! Willow/William is one tough alpha! Willow, Dimitri, Nero, Saint, Jace, Victor struggle to figure out their places in the pack and in their relationship with each other in this book can bring a tear or two right out of your eyes. Then comes along two new addition to the pack that I won't say until the reader find out. But hey, Willow keeps kicking butts and taking names as she rises to power in fame, status and recognition as a strong empowering woman who thrives to accomplish everything she deserves.
im so happy this ended how it did but im greedy and cant wait for wolf outcasted. Avery is beyond a genuis her imagination and ability to bring such wonderously heartbreakingly dangerous stories to life, that suck you in to the point you need to finish it to be able to breathe again. Fantastically written i absolutely adore all the hybrids, my favourites have to be willow and aurelia both strong women who have survived imeasureable suffering but show with love you can conquer anything but i am rather intrigued by loki and milo.. two onyx haha thats going to be wild. You avery song deserve awards for this series..
First of all, I want to applaud Avery with the length of this book. Everything was fast paced, lots of important events happen and the end ties it all together. It’s rare that I can’t guess what’s going to happen. Little nuggets of information that ties together so many pieces. It really is an incredible story. You Have to read the first one in order to truly appreciate this book. I loved that Avery continued with the different POV from the many characters. It makes it so much easier to understand why they act the way they do. I can’t wait to read the next one.
What an amazing book! This writer is a genius! Wolf endangered is a masterpiece of intrigue, suspense, extreme courage, steamy romance and the depth of feelings, the clarity in which they are expressed and complexity of characters is exceptional. A rollercoaster plot that keeps you turning the pages relentlessly and absorbs you into a world of fantasy, magic and such pure love and raw emotion that humbles you. Avery song writes about rising from the depths of despair, of never giving up and of the internal need to succeed despite the challenges that life throws at you. I whole hearted recommend this book.
I thought that this was a book that would likely have me falling asleep, but after the first 3 pages I forgot everything else ( good thing my kids are grown 😅. This book grabs you and won't let go. I started reading at 11am on Tuesday and finished on Friday morning at 3:45am. Marvelous work by the author. Truly amazing, a must read. The characters are multi dimensional the book flows from one to another. Explaining the how, why . Be prepared to lose yourself in reading. My hat is off to the author 💯. Ms. Song truly deserves to be with J.R. Ward, C. Feehan, P. Briggs just to name a few. Thank you 😊
Can this series get any better, oh the things these characters are capable of and we still have the rest of willow and her harem of yummy talented men to show off their gifts. This whole series is above anything I’ve ever read in the paranormal, wolf shifter stories. Even the kind of magic that’s involved is on another level. If you could exist in a world of any kind this one would be it.
Avery Song has given us the best series, not only is she very generous with how many pages we get from each book but her writing is out of this world. It’s a masterpiece without a doubt and we haven’t even touched the surface yet.
DNF @ 38% I feel like the plot kinda dragged. There were so many details that didn't need to be there, and I honestly don't feel the romance. She's mated to 2 of the 6, and we only really see her with one, who she hates the morning after (to all their own, but it didn't give me "oh, they love eachother!" Yk?) I did like some of the plot lines, I like how the author has been showing how mental health affects a person, and how each person can react different. This series just wasn't for me. I'm sure another will find it amazing, and love all the details. The writing itself is good, and it's flowing nicely, it just can't seem to keep me interested.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Well I am enjoying this. I still will say that I'm sorry to admit but this is not my favorite series. I know a lot of people love it but I don't know for me it's just I don't know what it is. I will continue to read this though because I do want to know how everything ends and I'm kind of curious as to find out who the vile queen is so.
But just because I'm not enjoying this as much as her other books doesn't mean you guys shouldn't try it to each their own. It's a good book I just think that it Is moving slower than her other ones have for me.
I loved this book, it was an awesome follow up for book 1. This series is becoming one of my favorites of Avery’s! Willow is working on figuring out who she is and what she can do now that she has her Wolf and some truths about her identity have been revealed. There’s a ton of action, a lot people are gunning for both Willow and the Forbidden Pack as they come together and really form a solid unit. I was really happy with some of the growth that the characters but especially Willow. This is a huge book so make sure you set aside time to really be able to read and enjoy it!
