Obviation: What we escape to

Rate this book
In a street live Pete and his wife Susan and their next-door neighbour Angela, who has exciting news. However, all the other homes are empty and their occupants have moved away. Pete then makes an eery discovery in old photos and maps - their houses have disappeared at least twice in the recent past, along with those who lived inside. Set against a back-drop of the sepia early 1970s with its terrorism, general decay and the "gentler times" we tend to hark back to, Obviation is a stark examination of the lengths people will travel to in order to avoid facing the truth. A crime thriller by the author of The Great Storm and Each Code Remains.
