The pain of betrayal pierces like a knife. And now Jahsir Martin is on a warpath to seek vengeance. But little does he know, the battle is more vicious than he could ever imagine. Because, what do you do when your biggest adversary is yourself? When the mirror tells the ugly truth, and the shadows of the past loom from a distance, it takes more than willpower to conquer through it all. In life, there is no redemption without restoration. No more running. It's time to face the past. The truth. And most of all… The music.

What I love most about the conclusion of Jah in Nori's journey was the demonstration of the true art of forgiveness. I remembered at the end of book 1 thinking they will never find their way back to each other. It was a treacherous ride; sexual assault, betrayal, abandonment, death. You name it and it happened in this book. As the journey developed at times I felt absolutely tortured! But, then here comes the SUN. The story redeemed itself as I witnessed a growth of the characters. They were both so flowed and broken but put in the work to become whole for themselves and then each other. The sex was hot. The drama was off the chain and the evolution's of the characters we're on point! This is a good read.
I'm glad that I continued reading this series. I just admit I wasn't sure what to expect for the second book of this series, but I feel that the author did a great job of developing the characters. All of the characters matured and it was great to read that.I wasn't sure if there would be a HEA after the way the first book ended. I enjoyed this series a lot and would definitely recommend reading it.
Jahsir and Nari I love this couple. This is what you call fight for what you want. Fight for your heart, fight for yourself, fight for what is right. I couldn't put down this book had to read until the end. So real. Being an island girl myself I can relate to Nari. Excellent writing. Excellent book. A must read. 👑
The author just totally changed Nariand made her into a hateful and spiteful young lady. Also, for her to take Kita trifling self back as a friend after the betrayal was too much. I just didn’t like all of the excessive drama. Also, it’s not realistic for Jah’s to forgive her for such a betrayal as she did. To go from a virgin to sleeping with best friends. 🤦🏽♀️
Book 2 was more fast paced as we anticipated if and how Jah would get his revenge and also fix things with Nari. Nari fell into the same pitfalls that Jah did. Apart they are suffering but together they could protect and love one another. I imagine that the industry is just as depicted in this series!
Loved this series it was worth the wait and the read. Everything happened just how it was supposed to. I would definitely recommend this book to get into.
These two couldn’t get out of their own way. I was emotionally raw throughout. No spoiler but this second book made me cry real tears, laugh out loud, and made me swoon at the love scenes.
