Gina
Will Edmonson and I were never supposed to be a thing.
The chemistry was there. Oh, God, was it there.
But he always pulled away from me right when things were heating up.
Until he didn’t.
Now, the closer we get, the more I fear I’ll never truly be enough for him,
Not after all he’s lost.

Will
Gina Rodrigo is the woman of my dreams.
And the one woman I refused to let myself have.
Until I couldn’t fight it anymore.
But she doesn’t know my secret, and the deeper we get, the more I know I can never really have her.
I don’t deserve to.
Not after what I’ve done.

This is book two in The L.A. Wolves series and it is Will and Gina's story and I really enjoyed reading it. Will is always aware when Gina walks into the room as everything with in him stands to attention but he can't go there as he is not good enough for her not after what he did and the secrets that he keeps from everyone. Gina has wanted Will for over a year but he constantly blows hot and cold and she doesn't know why but she realised that she needs to try and move on from him as it seems that he doesn't feel the same way but the heart wants what the heart wants and she doesn't know what to do next. While at a new years eve party Gina thinks that Will may finally make a move as the connection and chemistry between them is so hot that you can feel it sizzling of the pages of this book but instead Will walks away and doesn't give into the attraction he feels for Gina. Wow this book has twists and turns and you have to keep reading to see what would happen next and it was so emotional in places that you could feel the pain that they were going through as if you were there with them and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing as each book is so well written and definitely worth reading.

preso in unlimited

Wow this book had me all over the place. I'm a very passionate reader and if well written I'm completely drawn into the story. And damn this was more than well written.
It's about two people(Gina & Will) who are drawn to eachother but because of the secrets and pain Will is hiding he tries to stay away from Gina. Because they have mutual friends they keep bumping in to eachother and the mutual attraction grows by each encounter.
And their friends meddling doesn't make it any better.
Don't want to spoil this story, but damn this book made me cry out loud and made me realise I'm not over the heartbreak my own 'Will' gave me. Having the same secrets and the same pushing away.

This is the 2nd book in this series and is Will and Gina’s story. These two have sizzling and undeniable chemistry between them, but because of his past Will hides his pain and secrets, and he tries to stay away from Gina, which just seems to have them crossing paths more. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, and is a slow burn, with angst, secrets, heartbreak, twists, friendships, and love. I was completely hooked and intrigued throughout this riveting and addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Book two in the series brings Will and Gina's story. Their characters are strong and well developed and the story moves fluidly with detailed and descriptive writing. They have a steamy connection but also have some obstacles to overcome. There's secrets ,twists and turns and so many emotions throughout that kept me glued to the pages. I enjoyed reading their story and am looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend this book/series.

I was so excited to read about Will and Gina!! They were supporting characters in “In the Grasp” so I was so excited to finally read about what’s been going on with these two!! Will has suffered so much the poor guy and doesn’t believe he is worthy of love or a woman like Gina. Gina is crazy about Will but can’t take the back and forth between them. When you finally get the whole story behind Will, your heart will break for him!! The heat and emotions between Will and Gina totally make this book amazing!!

I loved this, a lot. What happens when you have magnetic chemistry but the timing is just never right?

I just wanted to hug Will and tell him to take a chance with Gina, that she won’t rip his heart out and stomp on it like the last woman who claimed to love him. I also love that it took time for him to see that, I enjoy good angst.

This series has such heart & steam, it really draws you in and you connect with the characters!

OMG I freaking loved Across the Middle!!! I cannot wait for the next book in the series... I absolutely loved this story, I couldn't put it down and wanted to just keep reading... The chemistry between Will and Gina was electrifying. You could feel their connection the whole way through their story. This is a fantastic written book which is sweet, emotional, humorous, entertaining, and with angst and romance. I was completely hooked and intrigued throughout this riveting and addictive page turner. This might have been my first book by this amazing author but definitely won’t be my last. I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on the next book by this author. Happy reading everyone!!

A sports romance with an emphasis on romance. An easy to read story in which the male lead is a sensitive man.

Will has lost his fiancé when she is involved in an accident. He feels responsible for her death and thinks he has no right to love and happiness. When he meets Gina, he has to fight his immediate attraction to her.

Gina has had several relationships but they left her broken. Her previous boyfriends never thought she was good enough and cheated and lied to her. This makes her careful and guard her heart. Until Will. Attracted to him but find there is a Cold Will ignoring her and a Hot Will finding all her right buttons. Very carefully she dares to give him a chance, until his actions turn him back into Cold Will and leave her broken.
Can Gina fight Cadence's ghost?

Beautiful, calmly constructive love story where there is room for emotions.

This is a new author for me but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be looking out for the next in the series, as well as heading to look for Jack and Paige’s stories.

I loved how strong Gina was and how in time with his feelings Will was. She was definitely the stronger character which made this a really great read for me.

The underlying story around his ex which caused all the angst was well dripped in throughout, up to the point you found out the real story behind Wills past.

A slow burn, full of angst story with a light touch on sports (didn’t add anything to the storyline at all but was interesting none the less) which is a good fun read with a HEA

This book gave me all sorts of feels, a sign of a good book to me. All though it was book 2 of the LA Wolves series it can be read as a standalone since I received a free copy of this book to review and haven't read the first (yet). With this being a book about a football player (Will) the only football 'action' was near the end and was easy to follow without the jargon getting lost on me.

The story flowed and kept me ensnared as to what was going to happen next, which made it hard to put down. The main and secondary characters were fleshed out and believable. Also made me want to try Milk Duds and popcorn lol.

The only downside was the 'O' count Gina was keeping. Is that an indicator of good sex to her? I was lost as to why she did that. Why critique mindblowing sex?

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is a slow burn love story between Gina and Will. She knows there is an attraction between them but he keeps her at a distance. Will feels that he is not good enough for her. Gina is convinced that she cannot make him happy. These two have to wade thru secrets, misconceptions and self doubt to find their happy ending. They will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride until then though.

Good story and great characters. Both Will and Gina are likable on their own, but together they are the best.

I gave the book only 4 stars because of Will’s reason to stay away from Gina and that it took too long for them to finally date. I didn’t totally buy that Will would be that screwed up by what Candace did...that he would feel he was to blame. Also, I just felt it took too long for their characters to date each other.

I think this is a good book and I recommend it.

Will appears to have it all, successful football career and a loving family. Beneath the surface he is hiding a secret, the details of his finance's death which is eating him alive and prevents him from feeling like he deserves to be loved and to find love again. All that changes when he meets Gina. Gina has always been unlucky in love and she struggles with Will's everchanging behavior towards her. They both have emotional baggage overcome before they can find their HEA which they both deserve.

There was so much back and forth with this novel. I thought Will and Gina were such likeable characters but I couldn't help but to feel for both of them. Will really has to face the ghosts from his past in order to be with Gina. The chemistry between Gina and Will as intense and sizzling hot enough to melt your panties off!

Knjizi dajem 4 ⭐️ samo zbog one odluke da s “odličnim!” ocjenjujem one knjige koje me oduševe. Ova me nije oduševila, ali mi je bila super. Nešto slabija nego priča Paige i Jacka. Na nekim poglavljima mi se učinila malkice dosadnom. I ponovno ono, razgovarajte, molim vas; u komunikaciji je spas.

Will nosi teret prošlosti, Gina pak traži nekoga koga pronalazi u Willu. Slatki su oni. Zajedno također.

This the second book in the LA Wolves about Will and Gina. Will has a loving mom and sister but he has a secret he's carrying about what truly happened with his ex-fiance's car accident she died in. Will meets Gina but keeps her at a distance because he feels he doesn't truly deserve her. Can Gina make him see she is enough and deserves her?

Great story

I'm so glad we got Will and Gina's story. He was such a mysterious character in the first book of the series. This one had it all with a little extra angst, just the way I like it.

I am still pretty new to the world of romance novels, but I am so glad I picked this one up. I loved the chemistry between Gina and Will and Will’s backstory—the character development was greatI. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!

I wasn’t impressed by the first book, but I still tried to give the second book a chance. It was even worse than the first. Why give a man so many second chances? I have no desire to read about weak women.

So many misunderstandings and miscommunications between the two main characters, it was like reading a ridiculous ‘90s sitcom where the characters could solve their problems in seconds if they just talked to one another

Good

Great addition to a series I’m really enjoying. This story was full of heartache, forgiveness, knowing when help is needed, and moving on.
