We chose to print locally and sustainably, even though this means a higher price. It’s important to us!

Proudly printed in Tucson, Arizona on 100% post-consumer-waste (PCW) recycled paper by AZLitho, which uses 100% renewable power and is a certified member of the EPA’s Green Power program. Journal paper is 100% cotton (Bee Paper or Speedball Bienfang, 90-pound). Resources conserved: 20 gallons of water, 104 lbs. of greenhouse gases, 17 lbs. CO2 emissions affecting ocean acidification, .04 acres of trees, and 9 threatened species. Environmental impact estimates were made using the Environmental Paper Network Paper Calculator v. 4.0.

Praise from readers:

“Each lesson is effective in building on the ones that have gone before. The process is clear and the time ‘flew’ when I was in that state of ‘flow.’ I found myself looking forward to the experience each day and enjoyed it very much!” – Susan Dragoo, photographer, writer, adventurer (susandragoo.com)

“I love this book! I had never thought of doing this before, because I can’t draw, but now I’m enthused to try nature journaling! The instruction, methods, and assignments are clearly laid out, make sense, and flow just right one into the next.” – Mindy Cox, hydrologist and botanist

After attending couple of workshops by this author, I was excited to read what she had to say as a nature journalist for 30+ years. This book was great and what I liked the most (which was missing in every other book I read so far) was that she listed the resources, classes and people who helped her learn nature journaling and sketching. Now I plan to check out classes and books by all these people. Great book for beginners.
