This volume packed a lot of interesting and entertaining stuff in! This series is also apparently going to be an anime! 100% about to watch that! 4 stars. Solid addition to the series. :)
Immediate five stars just for the panda versions of the teddy demons, they deserve each and every one of those stars 🐼. Seriously though, this volume had a lot of heart and humor and I loved every second of it.
This is a really good volume. Twilight's plans for the future, the bond between the characters and friggin adorable fallen angel pandas! The image of them fighting with the teddy demons is so cute!
Well the demon king is surely thinking about an interesting situation. I also love every time he and the princess engage in serous topics of discussion or activities. It feels out of character in that they are acting as they should seeing as they are both royalty. The demon cleric is an absolute source of chaos and is always the center of the demons misinterpretations of the princesses situation. I love it so much, the poor old goat.
Reread: - Ooohhh the demon king has ulterior motives, wonder who he wants to talk too. ( I have legitimately forgotten so it will be an actual surprise when we get there. - Yet another appearance of the princess being helpful - It is here we learn the Demon King's age, he is 60 years old, but remember we were once shown that he was basically child-sized for 50 years I believe - Oh, its i remember now - I’m very amazed that none of the humans at this camp seem to recognize the princess - A rare occurrence of a problem not being caused by the princess, truly a rare sight - I also love how for about 1 panel we see a bit of the human ruler come out in the princess when she offers to help in a situation where realistically there is nothing she can do but she would still try because there are humans in peril - Finally, an instance where the area bosses and the final boss are treated like the actual powerful entities that they are - that happens so sparingly at the castle so its good to see them respected outside of there - Also, that starry-eyed look the princess gives the demon King, don't think I didn’t see that - Fallen Panda Angels - yet another cute thing for the princess to love - I really do wish the princess was allowed to take one of the fallen panda angels, even if they fought with the teddy demons - The princess once again enters into work mode and I think this is the first time the demon king is seeing her at what I would call her peak in terms of her ability to fulfill daily royalty tasks associated with running a castle. She is an adult and fully trained on doing these things. It's just hard to reconcile that with how she acts most of the time. - Also, imagine Twilight, this could be a window into the future where she rules beside you - That is definitely the first time the princess has used Twilight's name - The cured musician really just needs a break or a promotion, he shouldn’t have to deal with this nonsense - I could really do with less secondhand embarrassment courtesy of the demon cleric
I love this series, and I really liked that the story was progressing in a direction towards a potential end in this volume (or that's what it felt like to me). I loved the adventure and the characters interactions in this volume. I still love Syalis and Twilight. The characters, artwork, story, plot and pace of this volume were great, I really enjoyed the bonus things too. This was a good volume and I look forward to the next volume.
Best volume of the series for me. I thought this series wouldn't be serious at some point, but this volume proves me otherwise! Love the dynamics of the characters in this arc. 📖😁👌🏽
