POV ~> Dual first-person, not clearly defined, often confusing.
WARNING: Mental and Physical Abuse and Hostage survivor recollects events just escaped from.
Additional Notes:
* One Demi lead male = very slow burn. (If you are looking for "hot and fast", this is not one for you.)
* Approx 10 yr age gap, not a dominant element in plot.
* Abuse suffered by Eric's hand and residual effects are a major factor.

Roger is a tattoo artist and vers. Taylor is a travel journalist and demi. They first meet on a rainy night after Roger locks up his shop and is headed for his upstairs apartment via the staircase in the alley. Taylor is unconscious at the foot of his stairs.

Obviously, there's a hurt/comfort trope going on here. It's a sweet, slow burn that eventually ignites in the best of ways. Though it is listed as #1.5, I was able to read and enjoy it without having read LOVING HIM first.

While I really loved the characters and truly was invested in the plot, I would have loved to have seen the POVs better defined. Oftentimes, I found myself backtracking to try and figure out who was doing what.

This was my first book by Drea and I loved the storyline and Roger "Not the Rabbit" He was such an adorable character and I loved him.

Roger and Tyler's story was super sweet and I enjoyed reading it. My only wish was that the author gave us a heads up before switching POVs. Sometimes, there was a scene break without a POV switch and sometimes the POV switched with the scene. There was no rhythm to it and I always had to wait until one of their names was mentioned to figure out whose POV it was.

I'm a sucker for rescue stories and this one is definitely in that category. Roger nurses Tyler back to health and the two develop a bond that grows into something more. It's a hot, sweet novella, just long enough to be satisfying, with vivid characters and a heartbreaking but interesting plot. Can be read as a standalone. I recommend!

I really enjoyed this story. Roger a tatto artist and a bit bearish find Tyler after being attacked. This story ties in Loving Him and I always enjoy that. The storyline was good and both characters were engaging, although the side character of Dr, Jones was a hit in my book--she gave them all h***.

Victim and Savior cohabitate as the healing progresses for Tyler who has been through hell. This is a painful and yet sweet tale, Roger's sweet and gentle caring aides Tyler's physical recovery, but the mental side needs more time, way more time. A new author for me but I've already marked another to read soon.
